"When you love someone you don't just give up"

Emma looked over at Regina as she remembered the words Snow had said to her.

"Love doesn't always come in the places you expected"

Regina looked over at Emma as she remembered the words Ruby had told her.

"If you're ever lucky enough to find love, you fight for it every day"

The words rang through their minds like a catchy song you couldn't get out, they stood there staring at each other outside of Regina's house.

"Emma, for years and years I've looked for love, I thought I found it with Robin but..."

Emma smiled.

"But you found it in a place you never thought it would be"

Regina smiled as she nodded.

"Yes"

Regina opened the door and they walked inside to see Henry sitting on the couch.

"Hey moms, have fun today?"

Emma laughed.

"How much fun can you have running a town?"

Henry chuckled.

"I don't know"

Regina smiled.

"I guess we did have fun, anytime we're together is a blast"

Emma laughed.

"Tell that to past us"

Regina gave a small smile.

"If past us knew about future us things would be a lot different"

Emma smiled.

"So who wants to have a game night!?"

Henry's face lit up

"I do! But don't you two have work tomorrow?"

Regina gave Henry a small smirk.

"If anyone asks we have the flu"

Henry gave a smile.

"Will do mom"

Emma looked at the clock.

"Well I mean you might as well take school off tomorrow right?"

Regina looked at Emma.

"What?"

Emma gave Henry a wink.

"Well yeah, he needs a day off too, he can just get the class work from my mom"

Regina nodded.

"Ok fine, but only tomorrow"

Henry smiled.

"Thanks moms!"

He gave them a hug.

"You're welcome, now go get ready for dinner, your mom is making pasta"

Henry ran walked upstairs to go read before dinner.

"Wanna help?"

Emma walked towards the kitchen as Regina gave a smile.

"Sure"

Regina walked Into the kitchen.

"So about these visions you've been having, do you think they're visions of the future or just bad dreams?"

Emma sighed.

"I don't know, it started out just feeling like a bad dream but... I think it's more"

Regina walked behind Emma and put her hand on her shoulder.

"It will be ok, I promise"

Emma turned around and gave a smile.

"I know"

Emma took the pasta from the cabinet and set it on the counter, she walked to the other side of the kitchen to grab some canned sauce.

"Hey Regina can you boil some water?"

Regina nodded as she grabbed a pot from underneath the island.

"Thanks"

Regina smiled.

Henry ran down the stairs almost falling down all of them, Emma and Regina turned to their son that was frantically running downstairs with his book.

"MOMS! Something happened"

Emma walked over to Henry as Regina set the pot down.

"Calm down, what happened?"

Henry smiled as he opened his Once Upon a Time book.

"You two changed fate!"

Regina walked over with a look of confusion.

"We did what?"

Henry pointed to his book, Regina and Emma looked at the book and knew exactly what Henry was so exited about! There, on the very last page, Emma and Regina wearing the crowns that appeared days before, the long flowey dresses and the flowers everywhere, tears came to Emma's eyes as she knew who her happy ending has been all along.

"Where did this come from?"

Hearing Regina's voice brought Emma back to Reality and Emma had the same question that her love had just asked.

"I opened the book and it was there! I don't know why or how but it's there, only happy endings get put in the book, I don't know who put it there but you two are each other's happy endings! Nothing can break your bond"

Regina smiled at Emma.

"We changed fate, not only a princess gets a happy ending now a villain can get a happy ending too"

Emma smiled.

"And sometimes the villain IS the princess's happy ending"

Henry smiled at his moms who were so deeply in love, Regina leaned into Emma and locked her lips with hers, Henry watched in amazement as the page that was on his book began to glow! Just like when they went to the lake the day before, glitter began to form around them, when they pulled apart they were wearing the same dresses and crowns that they had been wearing when the town became gold.

"My parents love created the sapling, the product of true love, and most importantly they showed everyone true love was possible! We created a town of gold, we raised a son, we showed everyone that a princess doesn't have to be saved by a prince, and we showed them a villain CAN get a happy ending"

Emma rested her head on Regina's and they smiled.

"I personally think we won"

Emma laughed as she looked at Regina.

"We May have won and all but dinner won't cook itself so let's get into some normal clothes and go cook"

Henry chuckled.

"I love you guys"

Regina smiled as she turned to him and kissed his forehead.

"We love you too"

She waved her hand and Regina and Emma got back in their normal clothes, Henry sat on the couch and Regina and Emma walked back into the kitchen.

"If only true love made pasta"

Emma laughed.

"I mean we've never tried it, but yeah I don't think it'd work"

Regina gave a smirk.

"It's worth a try"

She leaned in and kissed Emma, Emma laughed.

"Yeah no it didn't work, but thank you for the kiss"

Regina smiled.

They finished dinner and and served it, the three of them sat at the dinner table as a family and they've never been happier, true love comes in many different forms but they proved once more that a villain can find a happy ending!
