Domino leaned over the simple wooden desk that held all of her charts and maps of the surrounding islands and listened carefully as the navigator pointed at the islands close by. She nodded at everything he said and watched as he tapped one specific island. On the map it looked as if it had three large mountains but oddly enough it only had two one mountain shape was actually a large Marine base that had been under siege for 3 days now and Dominos ship being the closest was the first to respond.

"The six sixty third is a tower like base built to mimic the mountains and natural barriers of the island. It has a rather large cove and the main base on the right side of the island here and here." He pointed to where the cove was compared to the base. Like most Marine bases it had some kind of cove to limit entrances. "However due to this base being larger then most bases it has exiting channels for locals and traders to pass through points A. and B here." He stated moving his hand along the more detailed map. As Domino squinted she gave a small smile.

"It looks like a sunset." She stated with her signature relaxing smile. The navigator looked up and gave an uneasy smile in return and with Dominos nod continued. "Um well... We also have a thriving tourist destination on the adjacent landlocked side of the base. This is due to the thriving protected trade of the Marines." He stated feeling as if he needed to explain it more due to Dominos thoughtful look.

She nodded "Do we have any info on if civilians have been extracted or anything?" She looked up asking her lieutenant who was no other than her brown haired former captain Kato. "um.." He asked himself.

Domino went wide eyed "What do you mean Um? Kato? Do you have Intel on the civilians yes or no?" She asked him her voice being raised slightly bring the other two officers attention to her look as Kato seemed to shrink down as he stood.

"We weren't able to get through sir." He whimpered. Domino looked at him and then nodded "Okay, so are we still trying to connect or are we sure their communications are down?" She asked him her voice growing softer as she looked back at the map eyeing every possible entrance exit and ideal fighting location.

"No sir." He stated she looked up at him his body shivering she blinked "No to which?" She asked. "Oh no to we are not trying to connect at this time?" He asked her.

Domino nodded "Okay, get back to the connections and keep trying to get them if you can't then we'll assume that the communications are down and we will need to estimate the damage on sight."

She stated before looking down. Tapping her hand on the map. She looked up again to see the same man standing before her still a blank expression on his face she shook her head "Hello! Go! Now!" She stated jarring the man who stared at her before he tripped over his own feet and rushed out the door. She then looked towards Adaline her Navigator and her other lieutenant.

"Listen y'all I want two teams one offensive team with me and one evac team with Adaline. If this is a tourist site, then there are bound to be plenty of casualties caught in the cross fire. Adaline take no less the 4 medics the rest with us. I want Kato with me." She stopped for a second blinking at the feeling of her stomach churning before shaking her head and continuing "I'll need him with me to keep a constant line of connections open between the two. Romeo (Her shorter brown haired Second lieutenant with a Katana on his back) I want you with Adaline, she's long range you're short. It should work. Watch each other these guys are strong enough to charge a whole base. Gator (Her navigator who wore a green ascot around his neck.) You're with me I suck at directions. It's been 3 days since the siege and if we get no reports we assume the base is taken. Which means they'll have access to the turrets and other fun things..." She stopped to see if everyone was following her plans once satisfied, they were listening she continued.

"show me the blueprints again," She asked as they pulled another map and laid them side by side. "Okay so, it looks like while they have turrets in the front they have iron gates on the channels plus it would be two narrow for our ships which means we'll need smaller boats. We know time is of the essence." She hummed to herself. "Damn we'll have to breach from the front facing our own turrets." She shook her head and then shrugged "Lets hope the pirates took them out first."

"Sir with all due respect a full on frontal attack like you said even if we get past the turrets we still have all manor of other things that they could have access to." Gator spoke his jaw was sharp and jetted out to a point and his green eyes where always foggy.

Domino nodded then looked at Adaline "Ideas?" She asked. Adaline put her hand to her chin and shook her head "I agree Dom facing head on seems reckless, especially if we need to retrieve civilians we would need our ship to house and care for them.

Domino nodded and pointed to a small bay a few miles from where the base was. "Here, Gator whats the terrain like?" She asked as he pulled another map from a tube. "Um mainly uphill and surrounded by forests."

Domino smiled "No kidding?" She asked.

Gator nodded "Ah yeah, it looks like it may add about an extra hour but it would be quicker then other boats and allowing this one to sail to the other side. "

Domino nodded "And if we're lucky they'll see the ship leaving and prepare the other channels thinking we're coming from that way, while we'll storm from the side here." She pointed to the left side of the base that was within the forests reach. "I'll be in my element for sure, but once we get out it'll be a nail bitter. We will have to sweep floor by floor.." She nodded and looked to her men who also nodded "Look, what I'm about to say well be crazy but we need to destroy the ships in that cove. Ours theirs whoever, we can't let them leave." She stated watching the realization on their faces "I know that's a tough order but even pirates have left this base alone for years, there's a reason they are attacking and whatever that reason we can't let those brave men die in vain if we let them escape." She stated. "Understood?" She asked.

The trio eyed each other before their captain who's determined smile reassured them. "Aye sir." Domino nodded "Good, prepare for battle." She stated with a growing smile that would outshine the sun if she could.

Marco sat cross legged absent mindlessly listening to stories that his brothers told. Some about the letters they received and how their hometowns are thriving or stories from Pop's island. It was just another day he watched them chiming in here and there until finally a boisterous Thatch appeared from below deck carrying a tray of drinks in one hand and a folded-up newspaper in the other. "Behold! The bringer of booze appears!" He cheered bring a smile and laughter to everyone's face.

Thatch placed the try in front of the circle they sat at and Marco leaned in and grabbed one to Thatch's questioning look. He sent back his own before Thatch shrugged and smiled making a grand motion of pulling the paper out and folding his legs clearing his throat before reading.

"Let's see what's on in the New World shall we?" He asked with a curious tone. Marco rolled his eyes at his brother's antics.

Thatch had somehow bribed the news bird with freshly made crackers to bring him the newspapers and magazines from around the world. So instead of getting the news weeks behind they now got News the next day. And around the same time everyday Thatch would do just what he was doing read the newspaper aloud for all to hear. Of course not many listened but to Thatch it was just the attempt to break up some of depression Marco brought with him. Not only that one of these days that Angel from above would grace the presence of the front page and as he flipped through the pages reading aloud he stopped.

Marco who wasn't really interested but his brother stopping brought his attention on him. Whitebeard looked at him "What's wrong?" He asked. Marco nodded and leaned over Thatch's shoulder to go wide eyed and snatch the paper from his hand his smile growing wide.

"Look at that-yoi?" He asked himself smiling he quickly sat back down as Thatch looked back and forth from his missing paper to Marco before he snatched it back and strengthened it out.

"Hello?" He asked going wide eyed. "I am the news guy." He stated before clearing his throat. Whitebeard held out his hand "Speak o wise new guy." He stated with a teasing smile Thatch nodded "Thanks pops." He cleared his throat again as Marco sat down a wide smile on his face.

"An, Upcoming Marine Captain and her division squashed a civilian uprising attacking a Marine base in record time. Blah blah when asked for comment the Marine Captain. Jane Domino, stated that The uprising was because of a corrupt Marine who will be prosecuted for his crimes. Until that she would be taking over command until a permanent commander is found. When pushed for more comments she just shrugged and said It should of never happened before walking away. Eyewitness reports say once Captain Domino and her teams arrived the battle ended within minutes. While the actual battle lasted upwards of 3 days. Blah blah blah.. Many eyewitness reports described the initial scene as if the forests walked over the base and crushed the VERY STONES BEFORE THEIR EYES!" Thatch hollered. Then looked over at Marco "The trees walked?" He asked.

Marco nodded "It's her devil fruit, I think she controls plants so I'm sure a marine base next to a forest isn't that hard to defend. But a whole base-yoi?" He asked looking over.

Thatch nodded and pointed to a picture "Look, this is where the forest line was before." He showed Marco where there was a good 20 feet of distance between the tree line and the base walls. "And then after." He pointed to a picture that showed no difference between the forest and the base. Massive roots cut in to the side of the carved stone some trees even overtaking the stones all together. Marco looked surprised before relaxing again.

"Damn-yoi." He stated not trying to hide his smile.

Thatch looked at him and smiled at Marcos grin before Izo called out "What about your red headed angel!" He asked Thatch looked through the paper and pointed "Ahh ha here she is. A young Lieutenant Adaline was..." He went wide eyed and looked at the newspaper.

"Well?" Izo asked watching as Thatch's face palled "Um... She was...was one of the casualties." He whispered before placing the paper down and walking off. The crew went quiet and looked at each other. An uneasy feeling hanging in the air.

Marco felt his heart drop as the air around them grow thick.

Quickly he got up and headed towards Thatch as Izo scrambled to grab the paper before he let out a sigh of relief. "She was not! she was the one in charge of providing the numbers for the casualties. Damn man learn to read." He stated as a collective feeling of relief rushed over the deck.

Thatch turned around and rushed over to paper before reading it over himself and smiling. "So she is an Angel!" He cheered to the rest of the crews laughter.
