Here's Chapter 11. It is a little short as I'm a little overwhelmed... yeah my life has seen better days.
Hope you enjoy!
Dawn's POV
The next morning, I woke to a lot of grunting and weird sounds.
"May, please let me sleep!" I groaned.
I heard May shuffle. "What happened?" she asked groggily.
I clenched my fists. "Why were you making all that sound! I'm trying to sleep!"
"I'm not making any sound!" May snapped, fully awake.
"Then who is?" I swung my legs over the bed and walked to the door. The grunts grew louder.
"It's three a.m.," May groaned.
"Seriously?! Who would be making a ruckus at three in the morning?!" I nearly shouted. The sounds stopped.
I peeked out the peephole and started at the sight. I crept back to May.
"What happened? What happened?" she asked curiously.
"Ash and Gary are out there," I whispered. "Having some sort of argument."
May groaned. Then she marched to the door and swung it open. "Go away!" she ordered the two boys.
"Aw, hi May!" Ash greeted happily.
"Morning," Gary said.
"Morning?" I shrieked. "IT'S THREE A.M.!"
Ash and Gary snickered. "By the way," Ash started. "Drew and Paul-"
"Wanted to see who was better, Pikachu or Squirtle," Gary cut in quickly.
May and I looked at each other. Huh? Well, I'd say Squirtle, but Pikachu's powerful too.
I heard someone coming down the corridor and slammed the door. "A teacher!" May whispered.
But it wasn't. I heard four people talking outside our dorm. What in the world?!
May angrily punched open the door. "Shut your mouths..." she trailed off.
I pushed in front of her. "Some of us are trying to sleep!" They turned to us. My body tensed when I saw all four of them positioned right there.
"Well, if it isn't Troublesome and her friend," Paul commented. Nervousness set in my stomach.
"I-My name isn't Troublesome!" I searched for a good comeback. "I-In fact, y-you should be the one called Troublesome!"
I didn't pay attention to May backpedaling to Misty and Leaf's dorm as I continued to stare down Paul.
His face remained stoic as ever. And as if things couldn't get any worse, a group of girly voices drifted down the hall. I froze, thinking of Ursula.
It was Ursula with some of her friends. I forgot literally everyone! Hmph. Ursula and-and-UGH! I can't remember their names!
But with her friends, Ursula acted like, well, Ursula. Arrogant, but friendly. I stood still, thinking the miserable logic that if I stood still, she wouldn't see me. But of course, she did.
"Hey, Dawn," she smirked. "See you've been awake at three a.m. every night hanging with these." She gestured to Ash, Drew, Paul, and Gary. "Is there any teachers around?"
I slowly started advancing towards her. Ursula smirked at me and raised a Pokeball.
But then a hand got in our way. "No." I looked up to see Paul standing in between us. His friends were disappearing around the corner.
Ursula smiled at him. "Paul, you should let us have our battle. I'll win, for sure."
"There will be no battling," Paul said firmly. Both Ursula and I were shocked. Paul never acted like this.
"Uh..." I trailed off.
"But-" Ursula began. Paul walked off. Ursula ran after him, trying to get him to understand. It seemed like for a second, she forgot that she was the leader of the Paul fan club.
When I went back into my dorm, May was there, playing MarioKart. "I tried waking Misty and Leaf," she said. "But they weren't there."
"Oh?"
The incident with Ursula and Paul was wiped from my mind. Misty and Leaf... weren't in their dorm?
Sorry, sorry, sorry. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. It might be in a weird formatting, and if so, please notify me and I will fix it. It's just when I saved it, it showed all this weird stuff then loaded the chapter.
Sorry about the shortness. I'm super excited about school, but I also have extracurriculars and such. Expect updates every other weekend.
Thank you all who are reading this! And if you do end up reviewing, please put a name. Unless you really don't want to, of course, but 'Guest' makes me wonder if it is the same person reviewing or not.
Thank you again! See you next time.
