72 hours later

Washington Dulas Airport

Mac stood at the gate waiting with baited breath for his flight to land. She must have checked the arrivals board at least 20 times now. She really didn't know why she was so nervous. ( they had Skyped at few times over the last 72 hours ) And it really wasn't like it was their first time meeting each other. ( well in truth this would be their first real meeting in 9 years )

As she glanced over at her 8 month old daughter, whom was happily chewing away on her fist. She took a seat next to her, she watched her. "You know he's going to be so excited to meet you in person. He's so special to mama, he's been my best friend for a very long time.And I know he..."

Not seeing Harm walk up. "He what?" Mac jumped. "Harm you scared me."

"Sorry Mac. I didn't intend to. So do I get to meet this little Angel here."

Smiling Mac reached in and took her out of her carrier. She gently handed her over to Harm. He looked at the little girl in his arms. All the feelings he had felt when he held his infant son for the first time all came back. He looked into the tiny little girls ocean blue eyes. "You are a beautiful little one aren't you.Do you have name?" Harm glanced at Mac.

She smiled; " Harmony Rose MacKenzie."

Harm eyes went wide. "Harmony?"

"You don't like her name?"

"I love it; I'm just shocked I guess you could say. I ummm well, I just never thought." Placing her hand on his lips. She silenced him. "I know.. You don't need to say more."

Harm shifted her so she could rest on his shoulder. He began to rub her little back. It felt good to hold her. Somehow this tiny little girl was starting to fill a hole left in his heart. One he thought might never heal. Before he realized it he felt the tears start to fall. Mac walked over and used her free hand to wipe them away. They both looked into each other's eyes. Not saying a word just letting their emotions take over.

"Mac I don't know what to say; I just never thought..."

"You'd feel this way again?"

"I guess you might say that. Look I know I made a lots of bad choices where we are concerned. I can't change that. I would like us to be able to start over?"

"We don't need to start over. We need to be able to learn from both of our mistakes. I think together we can do that."

Harm pondered what Mac had just said. True she's correct. They need to learn and grow; and put trust front and center for now on. "You're right; our relationship has always been built on trust. That's what we need to get back."

"Let's start now." Mac reached for his hand.He took hers.

"Mac"

"Harm"

"I believe The Admiral warned us not to get to friendly with each other."

"And we listened to him so well with that."

"Well in retrospect; we did wait 9 years."

"Touché."

"Don't you think we've really waited long enough to be together?"

"Yes I do."

"What are we waiting for?"

"Nothing. Let's go.. we've a life to get started. You me and Harmony Rose."

"Just what do you have in mind sailor?"

"You'll just have to see." Harm said winking and wrapping his arm around Mac's waist as they headed thru the airport and to their new start at life.
