Laurel stood on the building's edge, clutching the bottle of wine. She would chug it down if she didn't know that her target was preparing to head out. Well, it was actually a shared target, but Laurel liked to pretend it wasn't. Laurel took a small sip of it, and her body felt a bit more battle-ready. And Laurel felt more drunk, of course.

Laurel hopped off the building, landing delicately on her feet and not breaking anything. She had left the bottle on the building's roof. She tightened her grasp on her nunchucks, and then began to run to her target's location confidently. She knew she would beat her, so she didn't even have to prepare.

But was the wine making Laurel too confident? Who knew.

-『Mabel ※ Smith 』-

"So, after you beat a witch, you get this thing called a grief seed. They can clean out your gem. Some witches drop multiple, some drop one. Fighting multiple witches will not benefit at all if your gem is as clean as a whistle. NEVER fight witches when your gem is dark, but that shouldn't happen if you're being responsible." Leilani explained. Mabel nodded. "Are you even paying attention?" Harper hissed. Mabel turned to Harper. "'Course I am!"

"So this is where it is. This is the Child Witch, Evviruka. A traumatized child that was struck with despair. Sad that we have to kill a child." Lei said.

"She's quite weak, so she's a good starter witch." Leilani pointed out. Mabel felt horrible that she had to kill a child, but if it kept the earth safe, she would do it.

Mabel changed into her magical girl outfit, and turned her cane into a sword. The 4 carefully walked towards the gate that would lead them to the witch. They made it, and Leilani pushed open the gate. Then the 4 found themselves sliding down a yellow playground slide. They heard giggling from everywhere, and saw girl dolls doing ballet, and boy dolls playing on a merry-go-round and monkey bars. The witch caught Mabel's eye. It was a robot girl's head with short brown hair and artificial green eyes. It's mouth opened, and once it cried, the ground shook. The 4 landed on a dirt surface, dust covering their faces as they landed with a thump. They all stood up, but then:

GAH!

Intense sobbing noises came from the head.

Then it disappeared, but instead of a grief seed laid a small girl that looked no older than 6.

Mabel tried to run over to the girl, but something blocked her path.

"I don't think you're going anywhere. Ever again." Said a cold voice.
