AN: Bonus chapter 1, part 3

I am extremely sorry I have not updated on these bonus chapters in so long. I've been distracted by other stories and I know I need to get back into these to finish them up. SO! Here is part 3 and we will see the final conclusion in the next part. There will be more bonus chapters after this one is completed. Most likely 2 more but I am unsure when they will get done. Please enjoy the third part of this bonus, and please excuse any mistakes I have missed!

Nyma: I am soooo sooo sooooo sooooo sorry times infinity for not updating sooner! I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Torrie03: here is part 3! I am so sorry it took so long to get this posted! As for a story for Gaje and Hinami, this will most likely be it ending in the next chapter I have planned for them since they are only OC's :(

The jackal spirit leapt forward; its black paws spread as it reached out towards the unwavering boy in front of it. Its claws clenched the tanned skin on the boys' biceps as it pushed him all the way to the hard ground below them both. Gaje winced as his head hit the ground but kept his crimson gaze on the piercing ruby eyes starring right into his very soul. Its mouth was agape, allowing black smoke to flow up over its upper jaw. He could feel the effects of the ancient one's magic begin to do its work on his arms. The dark-haired boy glanced over to his right, seeing the black magic starting to course through his veins, starting at the point of the claws dug into his skin. His veins felt like they were being burned from the inside out. He watched as his tanned skin slowly started to become discolored and cracked.

The spirit let out a laugh as it watched Gaje looking helplessly at his arm and what the dark magic was starting to do. "Do you like this, human? In just a few minutes, your body will be nothing but ash and I will leave this girls body to drag your soul to the very depths of the underworld!" The ancient beast let out a haunting laugh as it dug its claws in deeper to the tanned skin of the boy beneath it.

Crimson orbs shot back up to the beast that took over Hinami. "I'm not going to fight back. I just want to talk to Hinami."

Anubis snapped its jaws at Gaje, a snarl leaving its throat as its grip remained steady on his arms. "You're making this boring for me if you don't fight back. And that girl isn't going to come back until I am done with you!" The beast smirked as it raised its head up slightly. "Now then… why don't you shout or cry out for help? Beg me to stop all of this… I want to hear your cries of pain, human."

Gaje bit down on his tongue as he felt the burning feeling in his biceps intensify. He could smell the faint smell of burning flesh enter his nose. He dared not take his crimson eyes off the ruby ones starring back at him. "I want to talk to Hinami." He responded calmly. He had to keep his cool and not let his pain show in any way. It's what this thing wanted and Gaje was not about to cave into its demands.

"I WILL NEVER LET HINAMI COME BACK!" The ancient one shouted as its body exploded magic arura around them both. Gaje could feel himself being pushed down into the ground, no, not the ground. Something much… colder. "Her time is done." Ruby eyes rounded as the deranged grin formed over the long jaw of the beast pinning the boy down. "I need to be free to do as I wish!"

Gaje could hear the many cries of the wandering souls lost in the underworld below him. Was Anubis really taking him there? How was he going to get himself out of this mess now?! What could he do? Crimson eyes shut for a split second. 'I need to remain calm. I know I can get Hinami back. I just have to hold out a little longer.' With his eyes opening, he knew what he had to say. "There are other ways you can be helped. Ways to help both of you."

The jackal threw its head back and let out a booming laugh, clearly not believing in his words. "Even while facing death, this human thinks he can solve the mysteries of lost magic that the cursed take over magic is!

The young script mage had to repeat his own words in his mind like a mantra to keep his mind off the pain in his arms. He would occasionally see small flakes of burning skin floating past his gaze as the dark shadows were reaching up all around him, trying desperately to drag the dark-haired boy to the very pits of Hell. "I've studied hundreds of books and I want to learn more. I'm completely fascinated by lost magic, especially Egyptian magic."

The dark creature pinning Gaje down closed its large jaws, its ruby eyes narrowing slightly as it looked into the crimson orbs on the boys' face. Gaje could feel its claws loosen their hold on his skin. He could tell it was thinking about what to say next. But then again, why did it have any reason to take anything from his words? The beast already made it clearly known what it intended to do with Gaje. At the same time, the creature had paused for a moment, as if it was curious to what the boy had to say next. Gaje continued, hopeful his words could break through the spirit and bring back the girl trapped inside.

"No matter how many books I read, there's still something missing. Hinami is the very first person I have met who has such a powerful lost magic. I want to learn more from her and help her control her powers." The dark-haired boy said with confidence.

The strong prick from the beast's claws pierced his skin once more as Anubis slowly leaned in closer to Gajes' face. "I don't want this girl to have control. I have enough power on my own and I don't need her for anything other than a body."

"That's a lie." The script mage said boldly, ignoring the burning feeling in his arms and the shadows that swirled around them. "Having Hinami able to control over her take over magic will grant her even more power and allow more spirits to be used. It could potentially make you the strongest take over she has too."

The creature was unsure about it all. "How do I know this is truth you speak, and not just clever words to get me to set you free?!" Dark purple and blue flames burst from beneath the boy and engulfed his pinned arms. "I am not so easily fooled, human! I will not let your sly words fill my ears any longer!"

Gaje winced once more, sweat was rolling down from his dark hair across his cheeks. He had to get this creature to stop burning him alive so that his soul could be taken. He wasn't sure how much more he could take without showing much sign of pain. "I want… to offer you a deal!" He said through gritted teeth. His crimson orbs stared hard into ruby. "Give me one month to help Hinami take control and grant you both even more power. If I fail… I will give my soul to the keeper of death as payment for my failure." He watched as the evil, toothy grin formed across the jackal's jaws, saliva dripping from its fangs. "But should I succeed, you are only allowed to show yourself when Hinami calls upon you and you will not bother her any other time. You will listen to her, for she will be your master."

Another snap from the creature jaws followed by a snarl fill the script mages ears, drowning out the lost souls he could hear below. Its burning gaze never left the boys eyes as it thought. After what felt like an eternity, the beast slowly formed a smile across its lips as a slow chuckle left its throat. Anubis threw its head back and laughed. Gaje could feel the flames around his arms start to die down, along with the cries of the lost souls. The burning in his arms started to fade as well. Was this it? Was the creature going to agree or eat him alive, burnt and all? He waited for it to answer. The spirit brought its head back down to look at the boy still pinned to the ground as it took in a deep breath. "Though I do not believe you will have a chance to succeed in this… I shall agree to your idiotic proposal." The jackal leaned in closer to Gaje, its hot breath falling over tanned cheeks. "One month… I will return… and I will take what has been promised to me."

Like a shadow disappearing into the night, the creature was gone in an instant, leaving a disoriented girl straddling Gaje with her hands pinning down his burnt arms. Lavender eyes seemed out of it as her eyelids opened halfway, her voice weak and exhausted sounding as she spoke. "What… just happened?" Hinamis' nose wrinkled at the foul scent all around her, causing her hand to instinctively to cover her mouth and nose in response. Her confused gaze quickly came into realization of what had just happened as her eyes looked at the boy beneath her. The silver haired girl let out a gasp as both of her hands now came up to her open mouth, her eyes wide in horror as she shook her head back and forth in disbelief. "N-no… no… oh no, no, no, please… no!" She said as her voice shook.

Her lavender eyes looked at the cracked and burnt flesh over Gajes' outstretched arms on either side of his body. His face showed that he was in pain, but he was trying his best to ignore it all as his crimson eyes matched lavender. "Are you alright?" He asked calmly.

Hinami couldn't stop the tears from escaping the side of her eyes as she sat on top of Gaje speechless. All she could do was take in the sight of what the monster had done. What she had done. 'This is because of me. I did this to him! His arms are charred and it's all my fault!' The young girl slid her hands up to her hairline, gripping her silver hair tightly. 'I let the monster out… Gaje was severely hurt… because I let it happen! I have to run. I have to get out of here! There's no way… I can even bare to look into his eyes now! Not after what I did!' Before Gaje could ask again, Hinami brought her arms down quickly to help herself push off of the boy she had been pinning down and started to run. She didn't know what else to do but to run. It's all she had ever done her whole life when a mess like this happened during her take over.

"Hey!" Gaje called out quickly. But the girl didn't stop, she was running from what happened. He could tell she felt the guilt from what she saw. But it wasn't her fault, she had to know that. The dark-haired boy grunted as he forced his body to rise, ignoring the ever-growing pain in his arms. He chased after her on the playground. "Hinami!"

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she ran. She dared not stop. That creature could come back at any moment and could easily finish the job it had started. She didn't want that to happen. She had to run. The urge to get away and hide herself away from the world was all Hinami could think about. Why? Why him? Why did it have to be Gaje?! The silver-haired girl never meant for any of this to happen, she never wanted to see him hurt, even after being rejected by him. She never should have gone out that night. She shouldn't have gotten involved. Gaje probably could have taken care of himself just fine! Hinami thought as she ran, her ears picked up distant calls from someone shouting behind her. 'I just had to butt in… I had to try to protect him!' Lavender eyes shut tightly. 'Look what happened?! He got hurt really bad and it was all my fault!'

Hinami gasped as a sudden jerk at her arm made her stop in her tracks, her tearful purple eyes shot open as her head whipped around to see Gaje had caught her. His crimson eyes winced in pain and frustration as his breath left his mouth in heavy pants. "Don't run." He said after a few seconds of holding the girl in place with his charred and decaying hand.

Lavender eyes shut tight as the silver-haired girl tugged at her own arm, trying desperately to escape Gajes' strong grasp. "I did this to you! Please let me go! I'm so sorry! It's all my fault this happened to you. I can't—" Her voice broke as her head dipped down, shielding her closed eyes as her body shook in place. "I can't look at the damage that I caused another person."

"All you did was try to help me. That spirit of yours is the one that put that curse on my arms." Gaje responded as he gritted his teeth, his one crimson eye closing as the dark-haired mage tried to fight past the pain he felt. "None of this is your fault. Besides…" The strong grip over the girls' arm started to fade as Gaje dropped to a knee, his hands falling at his sides, unable to clench onto anything further. "You don't need to run anymore. I made a deal with that jackal. I offered to help you take control over your powers and potentially grant you even more within one month. If I succeed, it will be at your command and will no longer take over you like it has. If I fail… then the creature will get what it wants without any fight from me."

Hinami brought her arm close to her chest as she watched Gaje breath heavily. "Why… why would you make such a deal with that monster?" Lavender eyes watched as the cracked skin on the tanned boys' arms continued to release dark smoke from his body.

Gaje grinned and looked up at the girl standing before him. His crimson orbs were half glazed over, fighting to stay conscious through the pain. "I'm completely fascinated by lost magic. Knowing you process such powerful skills, it instantly intrigued me. So much that I want to help you and learn more about it." Lavender eyes rounded as she watched Gajes' expression soften as he spoke. Something she had never seen before or even imaged could happen to such a stoic person like him. His toothy grin became a soft smile as his eyes closed lightly, his expression completely lighting up. "It's something I usually keep to myself, but one day… I would like to be able to upgrade my own powers with lost magic." The boys' body began to sway as red eyes opened slowly, their vision blurring quickly. "I know… what it feels like… to be completely… alone." The script mage couldn't keep himself upright any longer. His voice slowly faded as he fell to the ground. "I figured… you could… use… some help…."

"Gaje!" Hinami reached out as she let her legs buckle, bringing her to the ground as well. "Gaje! Hold on! Just hold on, please!" She cried out as she watched the boy pass out in front of her.

The young script mage stirred slightly; distress showed in his expression the pain in his arms began to bother him once more. Gaje could feel his body growing hot and cold at the same time. He didn't know where he was or what was happening in the world around him. All he could hear were whispers. His crimson eyes would open halfway, but his vision was blurred, allowing him to only make out frames of three people gathered around him. His consciousness wouldn't last long as each hour passed.

Hinami watched as the boy struggled to fight against the curse placed upon him. Her lavender eyes full of guilt and sorrow as she sat by his side, her hand holding onto a damp cloth she had been using to wipe away the cold sweat form his forehead. Leviana sat on a chair next to the couch where her brother was laying down on. She looked to the silver-haired girl watching over Gaje intently. "How long do you think he'll be out for?" The blue-haired girl asked.

Hinami let out a sigh as she looked away from Gaje. "I'm not sure. It could be a few more hours for all we know. The good news is that we got him back when we did. If you weren't at the park too… I don't know how I would have been able to get him back to the house in time. The curse would have most likely taken over most of his body instead of just his arms. But because my dad was able to use his magic to counteract the curse… I'm hoping it won't be that much longer before all of this goes away."

Levianas' curiosity was getting the better of her after witnessing most of what had happened at the park after the bullies were chased away by Hinami. "So, like, can I ask how you got that lost magic of yours? And how come you can't control it fully? That stupid jackal was like super mean to my brother back there."

The silver haired girl let out a soft sigh as she nodded. "Yes, I know. It's just how it's always been. Although, it usually keeps such brutality hidden so it can torment me instead. Gaje was… he got caught up in my own troubles." Lavender eyes looked to the tanned boys pained expression before continuing her story. "When I was just a baby, my parents were well known archeologists, studying different magics and runes in Egypt. They took me along since I was only a few weeks old, and so they kept very watchful eyes over me at all times. But upon finding a new magical discovery, I was left alone for just a moment. And that's when it happened." Hinami clenched the damp cloth in her hand tightly as she spoke with a hint of hatred in her voice. "The dark spirit of Anubis found them; it was angry that they were on its sacred land without paying any kind of tribute beforehand. So, it took over the most vulnerable being that was nearby."

Levianas' expression softened. "It took over you."

Hinami nodded before continuing. "I've struggled with it my whole life. Since I had no control over it as a baby, my father had to study even more powerful healing magic so he could heal the curses Anubis brought to them on a daily basis. That's why I suggested bringing your brother here. My father can help with the curse that was put upon him. I just hope… there will be no damage left to his body after this… I don't want a repeat of what had happened two and a half years ago."

The blue haired girl raised a brow, eager to know what had happened. "If you don't mind telling me more, what happened at that time?"

Lavender eyes fell down to the floor, guilt coming over the girl as her mind thought back to those horrible years. "Before… before we moved out here, I was at a completely different school. I had friends…" Hinami paused for a moment before speaking once more, her tone sounding even sadder than before. "Well, people who I thought were my friends. A group of girls who I used to hang out with, found out about my secret one day. After they had seen me for what I truly was, they were too scared to even go near me. They talked some other boys who went to the school to come over to me daily and make fun of me. Tell me to end my life because it was the only way I was going to be rid of the cursed magic. One day, Anubis had grown tired of the boys poking fun of me, telling me to end my life, so it took action on its own. It had cursed the boys so badly, they were perinatally scarred. After that incident… I… I thought about it. Ending my life. I kept telling myself, it was going to solve all my problems, just like the boys had said. I was going to do it; I had made up my mind to do it on a day both of my parents were going to be away for work. But… when it came time to do it… I chickened out at the last second. After that, I had begged my parents to move. And that's how we ended up here. A fresh start, where no one knew about me and my curse. I met Yuriko, and once again, the same thing happened. Some boys had started to pick on me for being the new kid, Yuriko came to my rescue but it was too late. Anubis had appeared and scared off the boys, and she now knew of my secret." Tears formed at the sides of the lavender eyes. Hinami couldn't stop a soft smile from forming over her lips as her tone became a grateful sounding one. "Yuriko accepted me for what I was. She told me I was no different from her or anyone else. Her words filled me with so much joy, and for a short while, I had completely forgotten about my cursed magic. Then, one day, I saw Gaje. He was just sitting in the school library when I was searching for books about lost magic and how to control it. Something about him just drew me in and ever since that day, I've been smitten by him. I would watch him daily—" Her expression quickly changed to one of shock at how her words sounded coming out to Leviana. Hinami quickly raised her head as her eyes rounded. Her hands waved in front of her body dismissively. "Not in a creepy, stalker way! I swear!" Her hands lowered as she looked back to Gaje who seemed to be showing no signs of pain at the moment. "But just from afar, I would watch him. Always too nervous to talk to him directly, and always kicking myself every day for not having the guts to speak to him sooner. I wanted to get to know him, but… at the same time… I didn't want to get too close to him. I didn't… I didn't want him to see the monster that I really am inside."

Leviana reached over and placed a hand over Hinamis', getting her attention immediately. "I'm sure if you had gone up to my brother and said hi, he probably would have blown you off at first, sure, but if you had talked to him everyday instead of just watching him from afar, he would have definitely warmed up to you."

Before Hinami could respond, Gaje stirred on the couch, his words were low and still sounded like his body was in some slight agony still. "There you go… talking on my behalf again, Leviana."

Both girls turned their heads quickly to see Gaje attempting to sit himself up on the couch. They both said his name in unison and stood quickly to help the tanned boy up, careful to move slow enough to not cause him anymore pain. After sitting him upright, Leviana sat back down on her chair, while Hinami sat next beside the script mage. She reached for a clean towel and dipped it into a small bowl of water her father had provided for them. It was a special healing water to help heal Gajes' arms while he had been resting. Hinami quickly rung the excess water from the cloth and lightly placed it on the dark-haired boys left arm.

"Gaje, I'm sorr—" She had started before Gaje cut her off quickly.

"You don't need to apologize. I'll be ok." He said while he looked to his sister across from him who just looked relieved, he had woken. His stoic crimson red eyes looked over to the girl at his side, taking a good look at her for the first time. She looked like she was on the verge of another breakdown as tears formed in her eyes. The silver haired girl was trying desperately to keep them from falling down to her cheeks as she looked back at him for a moment. Her lavender eyes shifted downwards to his arm, shame coming over her once more for what she had done. "You really shouldn't ever be ashamed of what you have. Curse or gift, all magic is special to that one person who wields it. It shouldn't make you feel so insecure to the point where you think about ending your life, it should help you embrace it."

Lavender eyes rounded at his words. 'Help embrace life?' Hinami thought to herself. Fear and concern came over her expression as she looked back up to Gaje. "How can you sit there and say that when I let my magic almost kill you?!" Her eyes shut tight as she let the tears fall from her eyes down her cheeks as she raised her voice to Gaje. "I can't control this cursed magic, and I never was given a choice if I wanted it or not! It's done nothing but cause me problems and heartbreak throughout my entire life, and just a little bit ago, it almost took life that you say it should help embrace! How can someone like me even begin to not be ashamed by such magic that I possess?!"

Hinami felt a tender finger glide up her cheek, catching the falling tears that escaped her. She opened her eyes and looked to Gaje who simply smiled back at her. Hinami gasped as he spoke so softly with a heartwarming expression, one she had never seen on him before. "That's why I said I'm going to help you regain confidence and control over your magic. I want to show you that your magic is a blessing and can be controlled. You won't need to live in fear or shame of it ever again after I get done helping you."

"Gaje…" Hinami said quietly.

Leviana brought both of her hands to the front of her body, her fists clenched tightly as a wide grin graced her lips. "That's my big bro for ya! Always willing to help anyone out!"

Gajes' expression instantly went from soft and heartwarming to annoyed as he looked over to his sister. "I never am willing to help anyone really…" Crimson orbs looked back to Hinami as a half-smile formed over his lips. "But I wasn't lying when I said I was fascinated by lost magic and want to learn more about it. So really, I might be a bit selfish in helping you with all this. But we only have one month to get this figured out. So, what do you say, Hinami?"

The silver haired girl could only sit there and stare at Gaje and all of his confidence in his ability to help her. After a long minute had passed, Hinami felt her own confidence beginning to grow within her. For the first time in her life, she felt hope. Hope that someone was finally going to be able to help her get control over her magic. She let out a soft chuckle as she wiped the rest of the fallen tears from her cheeks before letting a smile form over her lips and happily responding. "Let's do it!"
