I'm not giving up on this story, so I hope you don't give up on me. Negan and his group will be getting a chapter here shortly, I mean it ticked me off not to see the Sanctuary and them returning. Please review.
Daryl and Jes's POV:
Daryl and Jes glanced at each other as they stopped and watched Dwight go to agate, him lowering his gun from Daryl's face.
"Son of a bitch! Patty," he said as he looked at the walkers inside the fence.
"She could be..." Sherry started to say.
"No she's gone," Dwight interrupted.
Sylvie lowered her gun and walked over to the gate. "She was supposed to be our way out, that's what you said," she said.
"We make another plan," Sherry told them.
"We get out of here, that's the plan," Dwight told them.
"Then that's the plan," Sherry said.
Jes looked at Daryl as they watched them get distracted. Jes mouthed "wait for it," at him.
"You guys didn't have to do this for me," Tina said.
"it was the right thing for all of us," Sherry told her.
"She's right, none of us would be free under him," Sylvie told her. "It's the right thing."
"This was the right thing? Even if just you guys went back now, if you just told them it was me," Tina said.
"We'll find a way," Sherry responded.
""Think about it," Tina begged them.
"No," both Sherry and Sylvie answered.
"Look maybe we don't get as far, but we'll get," Dwight said as Tina started to fall. "Hey!" he said as he started to catch her.
"Hey, hey hey, Tina hey baby sister look at me!" Sherry yelled.
Jes glanced at Daryl. "Now," she yelled as she started to run and Daryl grabbed the bag.
"Hey stop, no!" Dwight yelled as he fired the gun after them.
"Don't we need that please!" Sherry yelled after them.
Jes looked at Daryl. "Give me your hands," she said as she undid the ropes on him and he did the same to hers. They ran back to where his motorcycle was and he grabbed the walkie talkie.
"Sasha, Abraham?" he called on the radio. "What are you doin' here? You were supposed to be Axel," Daryl told her.
"Things changed when the herd broke off," Jes said as she took the bag and bent down to open it. "Those people that were shooting at you, I think David and Summer had a run in with the same group. David got separated from Summer," she said as she opened the bag.
Daryl looked at her. "What do you mean? Separated?" he asked.
"Exactly what I said, I don't know the extent of it. I bet she's back at Alexandria already," Jes told him. "Damn it," Jes said as she pulled out a insulin kit. "The blond fainted, she needed this."
"We've got to go back," Daryl told her. "They sound like whoever they are running from, they were in a bad place," he pointed out.
"We have a whole shit load of walkers' heading to our door, but you don't see us holding guns hostage," Jes told him. "We got our own problems," she said as she looked at him. "Damn it, you know there was a time that I would have just got on that bike and left. You people made me weak," she said as she stood up.
"You're not weak, you've just found your humanity," Daryl told her. "Come on," he said.
Jes sighed. "You can carry the bag since I am most likely going to have to disarm one of those fine people," she said sarcastically as she handed him the bag. She sighed as she peered from behind a tree, and motioned to Daryl that the man and two sisters were sitting on a log and the man was distracted by carving something. She spotted the fourth person off to herself. She held up a finger to her mouth and went quietly behind her covering her mouth and pulling her behind the trees. "Give me the gun or I break your neck," she hissed at the woman. "I am not like your friend over there. I do not make idle threats, now give me the gun. Don't be stupid," she warned.
Sylvie sighed as she handed her the gun. She took a breath as Jes pushed her in front of her and Daryl held up his bow and arrow.
"Drop the gun," Daryl ordered the man before he was even spotted. The man pointed the gun at him. "Give it to me."
Jes put the gun to the woman's head. "You have til the count of five or this one is going to get her head blown off. I'm really not in the mood to be messed with," she said as she cocked the hammer of the gun. "One, two," she said as she looked the man in the eyes.
"Alright, fine," Dwight said as he handed Daryl the gun. "You can let Sylvie go now,"he told Jes.
"Go on,"she said as she motioned to Sylvie to move over with Dwight. "You idiots are lucky this one was with me, otherwise I wouldn't have returned that bag and medicine. I'm still learning this hole humanity thing and having someone tie me up and threaten me, well it pushes my patience," she informed them.
Daryl threw down the duffel. "You put us through to much shit just to give it back. Princaple of the thing. What you got besides these guns?"
"Nothing," Sherry answered.
"What was that thing you were carving?" Daryl questioned Dwight.
"My grandfather taught me how..." Dwight started to explain as he took out a wooden figure.
"Don't care, it'll do. Take it," Daryl said as he nodded to the bag. "It's all there. Good luck, you're going to need it," Daryl said. "Come on," he told Jes as they started running.
The pair didn't get far as they heard gunfire. Daryl grabbed Jes's arm and pulled her behind a tree. "You got to be kidding me," she grumbled softly.
"Let's end this," a man's voice said. "it's ours, we earned what we took," Sherry told them.
Sylvie rubbed Tina's arm as she gave her an encouraging squeeze.
"You're going to return what you took, you're going to pay for the gas it took to come out here and for all the time these men took out. Sylvie, I know you're with them, all you got to do is come on back and tell Negan that Dwight put a gun to your head and made you come, and nothing will happen to you," the man assured her.
"I came of my own free will," Sylvie told him.
"Well, I'm going to pretend I just didn't hear that. It's over, you know the rules," the man said.
"Your rules are batshit crazy," Sherry yelled.
"We're not going back Wade, we're done kneeling," he informed the other man.
"Dodn't change the subject ass hole," Wade yelled as he whistled and the trucks started to move.
Daryl looked at Jes as both of them ran out to help them. "Come on, hey that way," Daryl said as he motioned to the other direction then they were running. "Come on, go, go. Get up," he told Tina as she fell and he helped her up.
"Over here," Jes told them as they found a group of trees where they could stay hidden.
Daryl held out the gun to Dwight. "Take it, your gonna need it," he said as he nodded to Jes to do the same.
"Here," Jes said as she forced the gun into Sylvie's hand.
Daryl saw a man walk near a trapped walker and rustled a tree branch to distract the man and the walker.
The man yelled as the Walker grabbed his arm and bit it. "I'm bit, take it, do it, just take it off," the man begged the other man known as Wade.
The man cut off the other mans arm. He hit the walkie talkie. "All right, that's it. Time to go home, Cam got a boo boo," Wade informed them.
"Are you sure?" the response came.
"Oh yeah, he only wanted to take this so far. And he only wants ass that's willing, you know," Wade said. "Come on Cam, walk it off," Wade said as he helped the other man walk.
Dwight turned and looked at them. "We knock. you over the head, we tie you up, threaten to kill you. Why the hell did you come back?" he asked.
"Yeah why did we come back Daryl?" Jes asked.
"Maybe I'm stupid too," Daryl answered. "Come on," he told them. "So you know 'em and still you thought we were part of them?" he asked as they walked.
"Where we were, we were there from the beginning and we still didn't know everyone," Daryl answered.
"I counted at least fourteen men, not counting men that could be in the truck," Jes reported.
Sylvie looked at her. "You counted that without even scouting? You'd be an asset to him," she informed her.
"I already got a group," Jes scoffed.
"Fourteen is not even close to as many as they have," Sherry said.
"When we first threw in with them, it was as good a place as any. As things got harder, people got harder. Human nature kicked in and it became a truly unique kind of shit show," Dwight explained.
"People will trade anything for safety, for knowing that they are safe," Sherry added.
"Everything, so they got nothing left except just existing," Dwight said.
"Aint nobody safe anymore, can't promise people that anyhow," Daryl informed them.
"You can promise it if people will want to hear it," Dwight said.
"If it means that they have safety, someone to do the things that they are scared to do, then they'll bow," Sylvie said. "Where is she going?" she asked as the young blond ran off.
"Tina hold up," Dwight said as he started running after her.
"Carla and Delly, that's them," Tina said as she looked at the two bodies. "Me and Tina used to babysit them when they were kids. Everyone said that they went out North when it all started, we didn't know," she said.
"I did this," Dwight said as he looked at the two burnt walkers'.
"We did this," Sherry said.
"It isn't your fault," Sylvie told them as Tina bent down to put flowers on the grave. They all turned there attention to Tina yelling as she got bit. They all ran to put down the walkers'. Sherry bent down cradling Tina. "I'm so sorry baby, we had to try,"
Daryl motioned Jes outside to give them privacy. He looked at the three remaining members.
"Get that thought out of your mind," Jes warned him.
"What thought?" Daryl asked.
"Oh, you know the one, the one that winds up with you asking them the questions. The one which leads us to taking them back with us. We don't even know if Alexandria is still standing," she pointed out.
"It is," Daryl responded.
All right, then there's the factor that they are running away from some very bad people. I don't know about you, but I've had enough of running from bad people. We should cut our losses," Jes informed them.
"Can't do that, pretty sure you can't do that anymore," Daryl told her.
"Oh, yes I can. See all I see is three idiots that held a gun on me, and knocked me over the head. I don't see anyone that deserves my bit of humanity waisted on them," Jes scoffed.
"You got away from the Governor," Daryl pointed out.
"Doing the right thing by bringing your sister home to you," Jes reminded him.
"This would be the right thing too," Daryl informed her as he looked at her and smirked when she threw up her hands.
