I am pleasantly surprised that many of you enjoyed the Chapter and I'm sure you all loved my twist on the Kalos League ending. So again, I will be incorporating more twists in this chapter so that it can support my plot and I hope you all enjoy it. I've also decided that I will try to upload a chapter every Wednesday so that I can have some consistency with this story. As for my other stories, they will unfortunately not have the same luxury so I apologize for that.
The next day, Ash and Serena woke up and seeing the position they were in smiled at each other as they remembered last night's events.
"Good morning." Serena said.
"And good morning to you to." Ash said back as he placed a gentle kiss on his girlfriend's forehead causing her to blush and giggle. As the two got out of bed, what they saw made them both sweatdrop. Pikachu was on the table drinking out of a bottle of, yup you guessed it, ketchup.
"Really buddy, do you remember the last time you drunk too much." asked Ash with a raised eyebrow.
Pikachu stopped for a moment and thought back to when he had a tummy-ache but then shrugged and continued to drink with no mercy.
Ash just closed his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose muttered, "God damn rat." Pikachu though heard what he said and soon Ash found himself on the receiving end of a thunderbolt. Serena just watched the scene with an amusing expression on his face. The way the two acted made them like brothers in all but blood.
After shrugging of the morning shock, the couple then decided to leave Pikachu to his drinking and arrived in the lobby of the Pokemon Center. There they saw Clemont and Bonnie and when they realized they were holding hands, they both knew what happened last night. Bonnie screamed in happiness and Clemont just gave a good ol' thumbs up as they were glad that their friends were finally dating. Soon others came by and everyone offered their congrats. But the one person Serena was worried about was Miette. The two may have been rivals for Ash's affections but deep down, she still saw her as a good friend since she was the person who inspired her the most. But then to her immense relief, Miette smiled and said, "It's about damn time you confessed. Truth is, I only wanted to push you further because let's face it you needed to tell him how you felt sooner or later. I'm just glad you achieved your dream Serena."
Serena was happy that Miette held no hard feelings and similar to how Ash and Alain bumped fists at the finals, the two Performers did a high-five with each other to show that while they were still friends, their rivalry would remain as intense as ever.
As the gang then left the Conference building, Ash then asked Serena what was her plans.
"I already talked to Palermo about it and I decided to put Performances on hold for a bit. I already talked to my mom about it and she supported it and our relationship. But the truth is I wanted to go with you to Kanto so I bought a ticket for the same flight if that's okay." Serena answered.
"That's awesome Serena! I can't wait to introduce you to my mom, Professor Oak and all my other Pokemon. But what about you and Bonnie, Clemont?" Ash said.
Clemont then said, "Well me and Bonnie were actually going to take a break from the gym and relax but after hearing what Serena's doing, I was thinking of the same thing."
Bonnie then chirped in, "Really Clemont! We can go to Kanto with Ash and Serena!?"
Clemont then replied, "Hold your horses, Bonnie. We have to make sure they're okay with it."
"Okay with it?! Of course we're okay with it. Oh man this is the greatest, we get to all stay together even if it's not too long!" Ash said in excitement.
"And you're not the only one, Ash." said none other than Alain who just walked in with Mairin and Sawyer. "I have to meet up with Professor Oak personally so I also booked a ticket for Kanto today along with Mairin."
"And you know me, Ash. I love to visit different regions so when I heard Alain was going to Kanto, I decided to jump on board too!" said Sawyer.
Ash hearing all of this could do only one thing. He jumped into the air with most biggest grin ever and yelled, "YAHOOOO!"
So a few minutes later, Clemont and Bonnie bought their tickets and they arrived at the siblings' house to say goodbye to their father and packup. Of course Meyer in his usual fashion swooped in and grabbed his children in a bone-crushing hug. Ash could only grimace since those hugs could easily rival his mother's. An hour later, they were all packed up and saying one last good-bye left the place and headed towards the airport. As they boarded the plane, they weren't next to each other seat-wise but they were fortunate enough to be paired together except for Sawyer who took it with a grain of salt. As Ash and Serena took their seats, Pikachu leapt comfortably into Ash's lap and started snoozing off since planes tended to have that effect on him. As the electric mouse snoozed, Ash and Serena were having a conversation to kill the time.
"It's been a while since you were in Kanto right, Serena?" Ash asked.
"Mmhmm, shortly after that camp, my mom got a offer to become a professional Rhyhorn Racer in Kalos so seeing it as a way to support the both of us, we moved though I will admit I was heartbroken since I thought I wouldn't see you again." replied Serena.
"Well I'm glad that we got to meet again. Though I still feel guilty that I can't remember you that well from camp." said Ash with a frown.
"Ash we talked about this, we were both very young and it would be near impossible that we would meet after all these years. I'm just glad that fate gave us this chance again." Serena said with a comforting smile.
"You're right. Thanks for never giving up on me." said Ash as he leaned in.
"I will never give up on you, my Pokemon Master." said Serena as she too leaned in and the two shared a soft kiss. Once they separated, the plane had already taken off and the couple found themselves getting drowsy. So they leaned back and let sleep embrace their features.
So yeah sorry about the short chapter but it would be too hard to transition from a plane trip to the betrayal which is why this chapter isn't very long compared to the previous one. But I can assure all of you that a storm is coming and Ash will be heavily involved in it. Anyways, I was originally thinking of the whole Clemont and the rest of the gang go to Kanto early before Ash but since they have little to no knowledge of the region, it wouldn't make a lot of sense so I thought of the idea where they instead tag along with Ash to Kanto. So with that the gang is on its way to Kanto and reunite with some friends. Stay tuned and find out next time on A Master Rises. Ciao!
