All Nightmare Long

Chapter 391

Author Note: Negan is still bugging me to write his introduction, I am ignoring him but I don't know how much longer I can ignore him. You know how Negan is, so we'll see. I had started binge watching Supernatural and had to stop because I keep picturing him as Negan. I think that role ruined me for the actor. We do know that Jewel is replacing Michonne's scenes in season 6 and 7 right. No Michonne and Rick love scenes. I already plan Rick and Jewel's make up sex on the couch. Please review.

Rick, Jewel, Carol, Michonne, and Joey's POV:

Rick glanced over to the infirmary, seeing Morgan talking with Denise. "I think we should get Morgan to go back to the house, have that talk with him," he told Jewel.

"Michonne and Carol going to sit in on this talk?" Jewel questioned him.

"And Joey," Rick responded.

"Joey? Never thought you'd want him part of the main team," Jewel said.

"He's proven himself, and the fact that he'd die for our daughter has something to do with it?" Jewel questioned as she kissed him.

"Did you ever hear what Hershel told Glenn when he gave him the pocket watch?" Glenn questioned.

"No," Jewel said.

"He told him that no man was ever good enough for there daughter until one was," Rick responded. "I know that I wasn't always in Summer's life, or that I wasn't always her father," he started to say.

"Rick, it doesn't matter," Jewel said as he kissed him. "You're her father, in all that matters," Jewel told him. "Wait are you saying, that you approve of Joey to be with Summer?"

Rick smirked "I never said that," he told her. "Morgan, can we talk now?" Rick questioned as he looked at Morgan.

"Uh huh," Morgan answered.

"Morning Denise," Jewel said.

"Morning," Denise greeted as Morgan walked over to Jewel and Rick.

The three walked in relative silence to the house and walked in. Michonne, Carol and Joey all glanced up as Morgan came in.

"Go ahead and sit down," Rick told him as he nodded to across the table. Everyone sat down, except for Joey who leaned against the wall with his arms crossed.

"What's going on?" Morgan questioned.

"You probably can guess," Joey said.

"When I was coming back," he said as he cleared his throat, "I tried to cut off the herd with the RV, lead the walkers' away, But five of those people with the W's on their heads, they stopped me, they tried to kill me, shot up the RV. Jewel came after them, she told me that you let them go. Carol and Joey both say they saw you, that you wouldn't kill those people," Rick told him.

"You let those people go," Carol said.

"Yes I did, I didn't want to kill five people I didn't have to," Morgan said.

"They burnt people alive," Carol said.

"They gutted people like pigs, like cattle," Jewel said as she looked at him.

Morgan nodded. "Yeah," he said as he looked at Rick. "Why didn't you kill me, Rick, back in King County? Pulled a knife on you, I stabbed you. So why didn't you kill me? Was it cause I saved you after the hospital?"

"Cause I knew who you were," Rick explained.

"Back there, I would have killed you as so as look at you and I tried. But you, you let me live and then I was there to help Daryl and Aaron. See if I wasn't there, if they died, maybe those wolves wouldn't have been able to come back here," Morgan said.

"If you had killed those wolves when they killed Jenny's brother, then they wouldn't have been able to come back here,"Jewel pointed out. "They wouldn't have found the pictures," she pointed out.

"I don't know what's right anymore. Cause I did want to kill those men, I seen what they did, what they kept doing," he said as he sighed. "I knew I could end it, but I also know that people can change, cause everyone sitting here has. All life is precious, and that idea, that idea changed me. It brought me back and it keeps me living," he told them.

"I just don't think it can be that easy," Michonne started to say.

"It's not easy," Morgan interrupted.

Michonne looked at him. "I wasn't saying.." she said.

"I know, and I've thought about letting that idea go, but I don't want to," Morgan said.

"We've all done things we didn't want too, but things we needed to do to survive," Joey reminded him.

"You may have to let go of that idea. Things aren't as simple as four words. I don't think they ever were," Michonne said.

"Do you think I don't belong here?" Morgan asked.

Jewel looked at him. "None of us belong here," she said. "But we're here, and we all have adjust, even if it's uncomfortable," she informed him. "Like I said last night, you're a parent again and need to think about the safety of that little girl," she told him. "What you did yesterday, it could have cost Jenny her life."

"Making it now, do you really think you can do that without getting blood on your hands?" Rick questioned.

"I don't know," Morgan answered.

Jewel looked up as Hope started to cry from upstairs and stood up. "Then I suggest you figure it out," she said as she stood up and went upstairs.

Deanna and Quinn's POV:

Quinn brought in a tray to Deanna into her study and put it down on the desk. "You haven't been out to eat," she said.

Deanna looked up briefly before returning to the plans. "I'm fine."

"Mom, you are a lot of things, but fine is not one of them. This community needs you, they are going to look at you and you have to keep up your strength and you can't do that by not eating," Quinn told her.

Deanna looked at her. "Fine," she said as she pushed the plans away.

Quinn picked up the plans. "Dad's plans to expand the community," she said. "You are finishing them?"

"I'm trying too. It's what your dad would have wanted," Deanna said as she picked up the sandwich. "Have you seen Spencer?"

"I personally hope I don't," Quinn said. "I always had problems with Aiden because he was a selfish and only ever thought about himself. Until yesterday, I didn't see that in Spencer," she said. "Please don't make excuses for him, what he did was inexcusable. He took food away from his niece, his friends, his family after telling others not to do it. I never thought I'd see Spenser being hypocritical. We should be pulling together, not pulling apart," Quinn told her mother.

"If only we can convince Rick of that," Deanna said

"I'm sure that he understands that," Quinn said.

"He could have fooled me," Deanna said. "This place needs him, not me. I tried to tell him that last night," Deanna told him.

"This place may need him and Jewel, but it also needs you," Quinn told her.

"That's what Jewel said," Deanna said.

"And she's right," Quinn said. "Do you plan to give him the plans?"

"Yes," Deanna said. "For after all this is over," Deanna told her.

"Something to look forward to. I like that idea," Quinn said. "We should give it to him now, make sure he knows that we are. planning for a future," Quinn said. "Something we can all work together for," she said. "I'll go with you," Quinn said.

Rick, Michonne and Jewel's POV:

Rick bent over the porch railing and looked at Michonne, Jewel was sitting on the porch in a rocker rocking Hope and nursing her. "If we can somehow get outside the walls, get back to our cars at the quarry, we could use them, to draw them away," Rick said.

"Set up more watch points, coordinate the shooting of guns and flares so we could pull them out in even directions," Michonne said.

"Lead them in different directions, meeting up in a central location," Jewel added.

"We'll need to get all our people on it. Carl, Tara, Beth, Rosita, Joey, Mar, Carol,"Rick said.

"What about everybody else?" Michonne asked.

"Well let's just keep this to our own for now,"Rick told them.

Jewel and Michonne exchanged glances. "Really?" Michonne asked.

"Look if we had the time to bring the people along, sure. But we haven't had a chance to catch our breath," Rick said.

"Rick, some of these people already already proved themselves to us, including Quinn. She stood up against her mother, on our side, that should count for something," Jewel told him.

"We're in here together, we're catching our breath, right now. Anything else is just excuses," Michonne told him.

"We need everybody's help, Rick. It can't be just us anymore,"Jewel told him as she looked up at the sound of footsteps.

"Deanna, Quinn," Rick greeted.

"Rick," Deanna greeted.

"What's that?" Rick asked nodding to the paper in her hand.

"Plans for the expansion," Deanna explained.

Rick looked at Jewel then at Deanna. "We got a few other things on our plate right now," he pointed out as Michonne took the plans out of Deanna's hand.

"I know, these are for what Alexandria can be, because on way or another, there's going to be an after this," Deanna told them.

"Looking toward the future, working together, that's what's important," Quinn said as her and her mother turned to leave.

Jewel stood up after finishing nursing Hope. "You're right, both of you, about the future," she said. "And that begins with us all trusting each other," she said as she looked at Rick and Michonne. "Deanna, do you want to hold Hope?"

Rick looked at her. "Jewel?"

"It's alright, Rick. I trust Deanna with her, and we'll be right here," Jewel said as she looked at Deanna. "You do remember how to hold a baby, right?" Jewel asked with a small smile.

Deanna looked at her. "I remember," she said with a smile as she took her. "Hello, sweetheart," she said as she took her.

"This is the future, Rick, and we've got to all work together," Michonne told him.
