All Nightmare Long
Chapter 405
Author's Note: I'm really tempted to get to random hair cut woman and her useless children die, but there are others that need to be checked on. Including, and I hate to mention it, but N egan and his bloody little minions. But hey Daryl gets to blow them up! At least some of them. Reviews are welcome and enjoyed.
David's POV:
David sighed as the car ran out of gas and looked around before grabbing his gun and getting out of the car. He grabbed a backpack from the car and looked around. He felt guilty about leaving Axel, Emily and Nikki, but he couldn't go back to Alexandria. He couldn't face his brother and tell him that he had basically abandoned Summer and shot himself to make it look like they were attacked. He heard the motorcycle and turned pointing his rifle. He raised an eyebrow as he saw the bike and knew it was Daryl's bike but it definatly wasn't Daryl driving it. He stood in front of the on coming motorcycle and took a shot at the ground coming close to the tire. He watched as the driver skidded and both him and the passenger fell off the motorcycle. David walked over and put the gun to the man's head. "Both of you get up slowly," he ordered.
"You could have killed us," the man said as he helped the woman up.
"I still can and I will if you don't tell me exactly how you got that bow and motorcycle," David ordered.
"Just let us go, you can have the motorcycle and cross bow," the woman said. "We are just trying to get away from some very bad people."
"Did you kill the man who you stole the bike from?Last chance to answer before I pull the trigger," David said as he held the rifle to the man's head.
"No, he isn't dead," the woman said.
"Then how did you get his things?" David asked.
"We stole it," the man said.
"He said he had a community, he wanted us to go back with him," the woman said.
"And you repay him by stealing his things?" David questioned. "You couldn't just say no?"
"You want it, take it, just let us go," the woman said.
"Sherry," the man warned.
"You shut up," David told the man. "Sherry, you seem to be more talkative then him. why did you steal Daryl's bike and cross bow? Why didn't you go back with him?"
"We're running from very bad people, people that you don't want to meet. We didn't go with him because we didn't want to bring trouble to the community. The people we're running from, the leader, he'll take whatever you you love, whoever you love and destroy them to your face. He'll put you on your knees and make you say that you are him," Sherry said. "We've seen it, we've lived it, and we ran away from it. But he's after us, he sent people after us and Daryl and Jes, they helped us get away, even after we treated them badly. So we know they are good people, that you are a good person if you are from that community, so I'm begging you to let us get back on the bike and leave. Tell Daryl we're sorry when you see him," she said.
Dwight looked at him and noticed that he wasn't paying attention to him as much as he was Sherry and took advantage of that by pulling the rifle out of his hand and turning it on him. "Go pick up the bike," he ordered.
David looked at him. "You want it, go get it yourself," he said.
Sherry heard noises and turned her head in that direction. "Dwight, they're coming," she yelled.
"Sounds like you have trouble," David said.
Dwight looked at him. "No, we have trouble," he said.
"Dwight, we have to go!" Sherry exclaimed.
"How far are we going to get? Where are we going to go Sherry? Tina's dead, and like you said we said no to the community because we didn't want to bring Negan down on them. But we don't have anywhere to run, at least if we give up, then you'll be safe. I know it isn't what we want, but give me a better option, any option," Dwight said.
"You had an option, both of you were offered to be taken back to a safe place, behind walls, but you turned it down," David said.
Dwight looked at him. "You are going the opposite way of the way Daryl was going, so obviously you aren't going back. So it seems that we are all in the same predicament," he said. "Do you have any family back there? Some one you care about?" he asked quickly.
"Yes my brother," David answered.
"If you love him, if you want him to live, then you'll forget the name of this community of yours," Dwight told him.
"I'm not going back to wherever you are from, it doesn't sound very welcoming," David said as he started to turn.
Dwight sighed as he turned the weapon around. "Sorry about this," he said as he hit him with the but of the weapon in the head, grabbing him before he fell. "Sherry, grab me some rope," he told her.
"Let's leave him, let's go," Sherry begged.
Dwight looked at her and then at the upcoming trucks. "You'll be fine," he said as he kissed her.
"Sylvie went back to protect us. We are just going to throw that away and not even lasting a day," Sherry said.
"She'll understand," Dwight said. "And if she doesn't, I don't care. What I care about is you being safe, we've already lost Tina and I'm not ready to lose you," he said.
"So the prospect of me losing you is alright? You know what he'll do to you, maybe even kill you," Sherry said.
"It'll be alright," Dwight said as the trucks came closer and stopped. He looked up as Wade came out of the truck. "Wade," Dwight greeted.
"Well, well, well, looks like Negan is going to be very happy with us boys," Wade said as he got out of the car. "Throw over the weapons, Dwight. Where's Tina and Sylvie?"
"Tina got bit, Sylvie went back, she should already be back at the Sanctuary," Dwight said. "We got this guy, we were going to steal his things."
"Well, it belongs to Negan now. Are you two going to make this hard on yourselves? Or are you going to come easily?" Wade asked as he motioned for men to go toward them.
"We'll go easy," Sherry said.
"Good, that's probably the smartest decision you've both made in a long time. Grab that guy," Wade instructed as he looked at Dwight. "What were you thinking Dwighty boy? And bringing Sherry, Tina and Sylvie out here. Sylvie for God's sake. Do you think that Negan was just going to let that go? You know how he feels about her, D. Maybe if you and Sherry would have just disappeared, maybe he wouldn't waste the resources on you, but bringing Sylvie, and Tina, and stealing all that medicine, you put a bullseye on your back. He's not happy, not all," he told him as he went over to him.
"I don't expect much makes him happy," Dwight said.
"Load them up," Wade said as he punched Dwight.
Sanctuary:
Negan walked into his wife's room where Sylvie was sitting with Tanya and Aislynn. "Aislynn, Tanya, let me talk with my dear sister in law. Ais, Simon got back from the Hilltop last night, you can go see if he saw your brother. Maybe if you're a good girl, I'll take you to visit next week," Negan told the red head.
AisLynn gave a forced smile before she went over and kissed him. "Thank you Negan," she told him. She gave a glance back to Sylvie before going out with Tanya.
"I see the girl's were able to find you a pretty outfit for tonight," Negan told her. "Wade just radioed, they have Dwight and Sherry, bringing them back here."
"Really?" Sylvie asked as she tried not to react.
"Yes, to bad Tina was bit, she would have made a good wife. What I don't understand, and maybe you can help me with, is why Tina would want to go on the run instead of being married to me. I mean look around, little sister, why would anyone want to run then want for nothing," Negan stated.
"Negan, no one wants to be married to you. They do it because it's better than working for points for things that barley keep them alive. AisLyn is here because you are threatening her brother's life in the Hilltop. This isn't any different then you cheating on my sister, just now you have the power, and you can just use the excuse that you are being some kind of major benefactor. But the truth is N egan, you are no better than you were when Lucille was alive. What do you think these people would think If they knew that you didn't even have the guts to put her down when she died of cancer. I can't stand that you have a bat named after my sister. She would hate this man that you are," Sylvie told him.
Negan laughed and shook his head. "Anyone else I would use Lucille on if they talked to me like that. But you, little sister, I give some leeway, but don't think that I won't take it out on that soon to be husband of yours."
"You're a bastard," Sylvie told him.
Negan laughed. "I know, it's great isn't it?"
"What are you going to do to Sherry and Dwight?" Sylvie asked.
"I haven't quite decided that yet. I have to hear what excuses Dwighty boy gives me. See if he can give me any good reason to keep him alive," Negan said. "Sampson should be back, you should go say hi," he told her with a smirk.
