Rick's group POV:
Jewel squeezed Mika's hand as reassurance as they all walked down the streets, walkers' being very close to them. She glanced backward to meet Mika's eyes, and she just looked determined. She looked further back and saw Sam looking around nervously. It made her heart swell with pride that Mika was in such control while Sam was nervous. Sam's nervousness could get them all killed, though, and like hell she would let that happen. She noticed a clearing of walkers' and saw Rick stopping. "Rick?" she whispered as everyone stopped.
"All right new plan. Flares from a few guns aren't enough too many walkers, too spread out. We're not going to the armory. We need our vehicles back at the quarry. All of us drive, we'll need to round 'em up, we leave, we come back," Rick told them.
"Ok but Judith and Hope, to the quarry and back," Jessie said.
"It's a long way, I don't feel comfortable with them going that far, and Mika too," Jewel said.
"Rick sighed and nodded as he turned around.
Gabrielle looked up. "I'll take Judith, Mika and Hope. Keep them safe in my church until you all lead the walkers' away."
Michonne and Joey both turned and looked at him. "Can you do this?" Michonne asked.
"You have to be one hundred percent sure of this Gabrielle, this isn't something that you can change your mind on half way through," Joey told him.
"He will, I have faith in him," Mika said.
Gabrielle gave her a small smile. "I'm supposed to, I have too, I will," he assured them.
Jewel looked at Rick before nodding. "If anything happens to any of them, the walkers' aren't going to be the only thing you have to worry about," she warned as Carl went over and started to transfer Judith to Gabrielle.
"Shh,"Gabrielle told her as she started to fuss. "No harm will come to them," he told Jewel.
Quinn looked at Sam then Ron. "Jessie, Sam and Ron should go with him."
"What? No," Ron protested. "Carl isn't going back, neither am I."
Quinn looked at Jessie. "I think it would be safer for them to go," she told her. "If it was my girls, I'd send them with the Father, for there safety."
"Take Sam, Ron can help drive," Jessie told Gabrielle.
"No," Sam said.
"Yes Sam, it'll be safer," Jessie said.
"I'm not leaving you," Sam said.
Joey looked at Sam. "You're the kid, she's the mother, you need to do what she says. It'll be safer," he said. "For all of us," he muttered.
"Mom, I'm not, I can keep going," Sam said as he ignored Joey.
"Sam, you're mother is right, it will be safer," Jewel said as she glanced at Rick.
"I can keep going, please. Please, let's just go," Sam said.
"OK," Jessie finally agreed.
Jewel rolled her eyes as she bent down and kissed Mika's head. "Remember you are brave," she told her.
"Braver then I think," Mika added.
"That's right," Jewel told her as she squeezed Gabrielle's shoulder. "Thank you."
"I'm going to keep them safe," Gabrielle assured them.
Rick nodded and kissed Mika's head. "Thank you, both of you."
"That's what family does, Rick. Good luck," Mika told him. She looked up at Gabrielle. "Ready?" she asked.
Gabrielle nodded as he started walking with Mika next to him.
Everyone looked down the road. Jewel squeezed Rick's hand. "They are going to be fine, we have Hope, right?" she asked with a small smile.
"Yeah, we have hope," Rick answered.
"Rick, we still are going to need some flares, for when you get the car. Something to distract them," Joey said. "I can make it to the armoury."
Quinn looked at him then at Rick. "I'll go with him. We'll meet you at the wall," she said.
"Are you both sure? It's dangerous," Michonne pointed out.
"We all have jobs to do, and this is ours. Rick you know it'll be needed. Even when you get the cars, you're going to need something to attract them to the same direction," Joey said.
"Alright, be careful, both of you," Rick warned as both of them nodded as they started to walk to the armoury. Rick took a breath as he looked at them walk away. He looked at Jewel then at Sam. He held out his hand. "Sam," Rick told him. Sam hesitated as he took it.
Jewel nodded at Jessie to take Sam's hand and then she took hers, as Carol held out his hand to Ron who hesitated to take it, then Michonne brought up the rear.
Glenn and Axel's POV:
Glenn nodded toward Axel and they moved further away from the girls. "We need to split up, can take more buildings that way, then meet up," Glenn told him.
"We need to try to get to our cars at the quarry," Axel told him.
"We will, but we need to try to help them," Glenn said.
"We'll get Maggie,"Axel said.
"She's pregnant," Glenn told him.
Axel gave a smile. "The family is growing. I'll take Nikki and Emily. We need to find some type of inhaler for Nikki. I'm not sure how much more running she can take without one," he said.
"We may have to make one," Glenn told him.
"Do you know how to make a makeshift inhaler?" Axel asked.
"I've learned a lot of things that I didn't know before," Glenn said. "You three take the closest building, Enid, Lexi and I will take the church."
Axel nodded. "Nikki and Emily, with me. We're going to look for weapons and medicine for Nikki. You two are with me," he told them.
"Enid, Lexi and I will take the church. You going to be alright Nikki?" Glenn asked.
"Yeah, I'll be alright. Our families are all in there," Nikki assured them.
"She's not going to be alone," Axel assured them. "Let's go," he told the two young girls as they started to take off.
Glenn looked at Lexi and Enid. "Come on," he told the girls as they started running.
Glenn, Enid and Lexi POV:
Lexi and Glenn both opened the church doors as Enid ran in, and Glenn and Lexi both closed the door, Glenn locking it. "Maybe when they searched this place, they missed something. Depends if Aiden and Heath's group who went through it," Glenn said as he caught his breath.
Lexi put her hands on her knees. "I'm sure none of them know all the hiding spots," she added as she took a breath.
"Look in the Bible's too. Could've hollowed out the pages," Glenn told Enid.
"You serious?" Enid questioned.
"First rule of scavenging, always look in the least likely places," Lexi told her as she already started to looking.
"We have two bullets," Glenn told her them as he raised the bullets he found. "People held up in here, people hid guns, ammo, maybe something to start a fire. It's getting dark out soon, maybe we can distract them. We need sheets, rope towels, anything that you can use to climb down the other side," Glenn told them.
"Maybe Axel, Emily and Nikki will find things too," Lexi told them. She looked at Glenn as she nodded at Enid who was looking at something. "Earth to Enid," Lexi called out to her.
"Enid," Glenn called out.
Enid continued to look at what she was reading on the church walls. "When I wanted to run, you said that's how you lose people, even after they're gone. What the hell does that mean?" she asked as she turned to look at him.
"People you love, they make you who you are, they're still part of you. You stop being you, that last bit of them that's still around inside who you are, it's gone," Glenn said.
"Who are those people to you?" Enid asked Glenn.
"My parents, a man named Dale. Maggie's father, Hershel, a woman named Andrea, Lexi's brother Tyreese, Mitch's brother Luke," Glenn said. "Lexi?"
"My parents, Ty, like Glenn said, Jewel's brother Merle, the kids' at the prison that didn't make it out, Mika's sister Lizzie, Sasha's boyfriend Bob, and Ty's girlfriend Karen," Lexi said. "I mean Merle wasn't always the nicest person and Lizzie was a little bit off her rocker, but they both left family behind, so they are still here. And Merle died protecting Jewel which saved Hope. She never would have made it on the road with us if Jewel died, so to me he will always be in my heart because Hope is alive because of him. Who do you carry in your heart?" Lexi asked.
"My parents," Enid said.
"Then they're still here cause you're still here," Glenn told her.
"I also carry people in my heart that I never met, like Judith's mother. She died right before I got there, but Glenn knew her. And she gave her life for Judith and to me that is bravery. And that's something that I want to live up too," Lexi told Enid.
