All Nightmare Long

Chapter 415

Author's Note: OK, Negan wins and I'll go check on him and the Saviours. Though I feel like I really don't get snarky enough for Negan. I feel like I can't be that evil. But I try, I surprise myself at times. Thank you for reading, and you know what's next. Review please.

The Sanctuary:

Sylvie walked down the steps using the railing to help her because of her hurt ankle.

"Hey Sylvie, wasn't expecting you to be down here," Laura told her. "You heard that Dwight and Sherry are on there way back, with someone new."

Sylvie rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I heard. Heard Samson was back from a run. Negan wanted me to greet my fiance," she said as she glanced over.

"The punishment could have been worse, and you know it. He's probably going to kill Dwight for running. You're lucky that he doesn't hold you to the same standards that he does with everyone else," Laura reminded her.

"I don't consider myself lucky, Laura," Sylvie said as she looked at the door seeing the long haired, blue eyed man. "Excuse me Laura," she said as she walked over. "Hey," she greeted.

"Hey, come on, let's go to my room, I need to clean up," Samson said. "Negan is going to want all of us out on the floor when Wade brings in D. I'd rather have taken a shower before that. God knows how long he's going to make D suffer," he told her. "He talked to you already, I take it?"

Sylvie nodded. "Yeah, I'm sorry I brought you into it," she said as he helped her walk upstairs.

"I was brought into the minute Negan found out that we were involved," Samson said. "What did you do to your ankle?"

"Tripped," Sylvie answered as Samson held the door to his room open. You could tell that he was former military by the decoration of the room. "You should have never got involved with me, I shouldn't have let it," she said.

Samson closed the door and pushed her against it, his six foot three frame dwarfing her five foot four form. "Do you think you could have stopped how I felt about you? Do you think that this attraction we both feel for each other could just be ignored? It doesn't work that way, Syl. We should have just told Negan about us, then maybe you wouldn't have felt like you needed to run."

"It wouldn't have mattered," Sylvie answered.

"I don't matter?" Samson questioned as he kissed her softly.

Sylvie took a breath. "Negan is just going to use you to keep me in line. I knew what he would do if he found out, and that isn't fair to you or to anyone. You know how I feel about him and this whole beating people with a barbed wire baseball bat named after my sister. I thought getting away, I thought helping Tina, Sherry and Dwight, that if I got bit, that it wouldn't have mattered. Everyone treats me like I'm some kind of second coming of Negan because he treats me differently and doesn't expect the same things from he that he does everyone else. I hate that, and I hate him. I hate him for making you take responsibility for me, and that he'll hurt you if I do something he doesn't like. It's not something that I want, and I'm going to tell him that," she said as she turned to leave.

Samson grabbed her arm and turned her back around. "I care, not about what happens to me but what happens to you. I volunteered for this because I love you. Anything happening to you, that thought paralyzed me. Do you know how Negan found out about us? It's because you ran and he was planning on marrying you off to Simon, or someone else, someone that wasn't me. And I couldn't stand that thought. I was scared to death that I'd never see you again. I was scared that D would decide that he didn't need you and kill you because he knew that Negan would never let you go. So, I took the risk of telling him, so that I could be on one of the groups that went out looking for you. Did I know the risk I was taking telling him about us? Of course, but it was a risk I was willing to take. And, I don't give a damn if you aren't willing to risk me, I am, so deal with it, because I love you," he said. "You know you can tell me anything, I don't care if you want to bad talk Negan, I'm willing to listen. You can trust me."

"Can I? You wouldn't have ran straight to Negan and tell him that I was going to run off? You would have risked the bat for keeping my secret? You can say you would, but if it meant you getting the bat or me?" Sylvie asked.

Sampson sighed as he picked her up and took her over to the bed and laid her down."I knew you were going to run. I heard you and Tina talking, on the steps, the day before I went on the supply run. I wanted you to tell me, I wanted you to trust me, I wanted you to ask me to go with you. I would have, went with you. I sure could have made sure we disappeared and you wouldn't be back here. I wouldn't have chose anyone over you, making you disappear, keeping you safe, that would have my top priority. But I didn't tell Negan because that would have meant you would have been as responsible as Dwight. he told her. He took her face in his hands. "Do you understand what I'm saying? Do you get it? This is the only way I can keep you safe. You are the only thing that makes this hell hole worth living," he said as he kissed her. "You get it right?"

Sylvie nodded as she kissed him. "I get it," she said as she took off his shirt. and kissed his chest.

Sampson went to remove her shirt as a loud pounding came on the door. He looked at Sylvie then at the door. "What?" he bellowed out.

"Negan wants you and Sylvie up in his room, they are bringing Dwight and Sherry up," Arat answered.

Sampson looked at Sylvie as he sat up. "We'll be up in a minute," he answered.

"He wants me to wait for the two of you, and you know what the boss wants he gets," Arat said.

"We'll be out in a minute," Sampson repeated. "You ready for this?"

"Yeah, might as well get it over with," Sylvie answered as she got out of the bed.

"I'm not going to let anything happen to you," Sampson said. "You trust me right?" he asked.

"I trust you," Sylvie said as she opened the door. "Arat," she greeted.

"You know, if you ask me, you're getting off too easy," Arat hissed at her.

"I think that's the first time we've agreed on things," Sylvie said.

"Back off, Arat. You're just ticked that I've moved up the ranks by becoming Negan's brother in law. Still not part of that inner circle like you want. But don't take it out on Sylvie, I will kick your ass. And Negan wouldn't be to happy if something happened to her, now would he?" Sampson questioned. "Come on let's go and get this over with, I want to continue what we were starting," he said with a wink.

Saviour's POV:

Negan waited by the gate as he waited for Wade and his group. He looked over at Simon. "You seen Sylvie?"

"Laura said that she saw her talking to Sampson and going up to his room," Simon answered. "You trust Sampson to be able to keep her under control?"

"Sylvie understands the risks. If this doesn't work, I'm going to have to take action against her, and I really don't want to do that. She's just like her sister when she believes in something," Negan said. "Unlike her sister, she's got good taste in men. He'll be faithful, he better be or he's going to meet Lucille here, personally," he said as he raised the bat up to his shoulder.

"You know I'll be watching over her, she's like my little sister too," Simon vowed. He saw the three trucks, a car and a motor cycle pulling up. "Open up the gate!" he bellowed.

Negan and Simon both watched as the caravan came in the gate. He watched as a couple of the men helped Cam out of the car. Negan walked over to Cam. "Take him to the infirmary," he ordered. He watched out as another man got the new person out, who was unconscious. "Take him too, then put him in one of the holding cells. I'll be down when I take care of things here," he said. "Come on Dwighty boy, don't be shy, come on out," he bellowed as he hit the truck with his bat. "Don't make me ask again."

Dwight got out of the truck with Sherry, Wade's gun being on them. "You know the drill," Wade said as he nudged Dwight with his gun. He nodded as Dwight and Sherry both got on there knees.

"Sylvie came back early this morning, tried to take the blame for everything, trying to cover your sorry asses," Negan said. "Also told me that Tina, my future bride, was bit and killed. You got anything to say Dwighty boy?" he asked as he stood in front of him. He laughed as he stood in front of him, before bending down. "You know what, Dwighty boy? I don't really care for what you have to say. You left, you took hard to come by medicine, and you had the audacity to get Sylvie involved? Not only that, you come back with one less future wife of mine. So, no, I don't give a damn what you have to say. I think it's time to reunite you and Sherry with Sylvie. I'm sure she'll want to say goodbye to you. Don't worry, Sherry, I haven't forgot you there. Take them up to my rooms, Arat go get Sampson and Sylvie, walk them up,"Negan ordered.

Arat nodded as she went to do it.
