Hi guys! How're you all? Fine and safe? Misty has come back with a new fic here! :D
Okay, before starting the story, I want to tell you something. Droplets of blue rain, aka Misty, is living in such a country where 400 children (Only children) get raped in every month in average. Rapes have spread out more dangerously than coronavirus in Bangladesh. You must be thinking that I'm shameless or destroying the image of my motherland but no, I really love my country and want her welfare at any cost. Here, children (Including male and female) are raped and molested in the hands of teachers or relatives, old women get raped by the men around the age of her sons, rapists rape mother and daughter together breaking into the house, wife is raped before the eyes of fastened, beaten and helpless husband. So, this story is based on this heinous crime like rape. I don't know whether you'll like it or not but I'm posting it here, anyways.
It's a two-shot. If the readers want, I may add an additional chapter later on. This story is for those who think and believe from the core of their hearts that only rapists and their rotten mentalities are responsible for rapes. Those who think that women, or simply, the victims, are responsible for this offense and they deserve it, please, don't read it. Thank you :)
Dedicated to: Sohana Sarkar. While messaging, I got to know of your great motive and future plan. Misty Di is praying for you so that you can be a successful IPS officer who'll free her motherland from these heinous offenses. But my girl, the path of truth and justice always keep burning with cinders. Yet, I've full faith on you. Reading this story, if you become inspired a little bit, my attempt to write this story will be successful.
Rating: T+
Pairings: KaiHil, TalaJul and TySew-my top three OTPs. Here, in the first chapter, only KaiHil has been shown along with a tiny-mini bit of TySew. More TySew and TalaJul will come in the next chapter (If I get permitted by my readers to post it *Nervous*)
Warnings: Rape references, violence, swearing, fights (Maybe or not) and a little bit of politics.
So...nope, today, I am not going to tell you that word "Enjoy!". Rather, I'd like to tell you, "Read, feel and learn." :)
Sitting on the steel bench propping against the hospital wall in the lobby, the little girl, around 11-12, was wiping her tears. Lips were swollen with the dry stains of blood which had been dripping from there before a while, forehead received a bluish-black bump though the pain reduced because of pressing ice-bag there. The light-pink frock was ragged, barely covering her body bruised with so many cuts. Thighs still had the dried blood which had seeped down from her private part, not belonging to menstrual cycle. Shutting her eyes, she was shivering, not wanting to remember the harsh incident that had happened to her. Beside her, her mother was hugging her closer to her chest with one hand, another being used in wiping her own tears. Before a few hours, some scoundrels had raped her daughter, the piece of her heart. How could she remain calm?
The chocolate-haired female doctor slowly came to them and handed the mother the reports as the latter took them indifferently as if she hadn't been waiting for them. Glancing at the victim once, the physician informed her guardian, "Here are the medical test reports. Hope they will help you get justice."
She took a sharp inhalation. While she'd been drafting the reports, some goons had come to her, packed with firearms. Pointing those black 9mm pistols at her forehead, they'd forbidden her again and again to put the truth there but she hadn't listened to them, ousting them with the help of the security guards. Only God knew what would happen to her after it.
However, when the word "Justice" was mentioned before the lady, with her tearful eyes, she chortled as if she'd heard a hilarious joke. Hilary wasn't much surprised at her behavior because it was about the rules and regulations after all. They all were the puppets of the so-called eminent and mighty politicians of Russia. Again, she stared at the victim who didn't speak a single word ever since she'd arrived at the hospital. The brunette was hesitating to talk to her, she couldn't decide how to start. But the doctor knew that she needed to exchange a few words with the little girl. No sooner had she been about the open her mouth than a maid reached the place. Seeing the girl, she dropped her jaw.
"Oh my goodness!" The worker facepalmed, "Isn't she the same girl who came here before two months as a rape victim?"
Hilary's eyes went widened as the rape victim shrank, curling herself into a ball and getting closer to her mother like a fugitive criminal who had been trying to hide herself from the eyes of the common people but got caught again. There was fear in her bubbly kohl eyes. The elder lady hugged her daughter more tightly. Tears blinded her eyelids, she sniffed to hold them back. The doctor examined the body of the sufferer once. She was skinny, not having an attractive figure. The brunette couldn't find out what the scoundrels had found in that tender, unfledged physique.
"They're the same rapists," Slowly, the helpless mother uttered, "Before two months, they got imprisoned, charged with rape and physical torture. Getting released, they again broke into our house. Tying me and my husband together, in front of our eyes, they…."
Not able to finish her words, the mother buried her mouth under her palm, bursting into tears. The girl who stepped only in her adolescent kept clinging to the lady. Hilary stared at them with eyes filled with disbelief and shock. Again, she fell in hesitation. Should she talk with the victim even after knowing her miserable past, uncertain present and probably bitter future?
"Hey, sweetheart…" Kneeling down before her, the brunette softly touched her arms which made the younger shiver, "No need to fear me, okay?"
The girl nodded once, trying to be open and braver. From the pocket of her white over-garment, the chocolate-haired doctor put out two candy bars, "Here, they are for this beautiful and brave princess."
"Thank you, ma'am…." Bowing her head once, she naively took those bars. After a long time, a smile bloomed in the face of the mother. She conversed, "You're such a good person, ma'am. May God keep you happy. Thank you."
"No problem," Hilary shook her head, "After all, I'm also the mother of a one-year old. I can feel you, ma'am."
"So good to know," The lady seemed excited, "Your daughter must be very lucky."
"Actually, it's a boy." Hilary nervously smiled.
"Oh…" The enlightened face of the woman became darkened within no moment but she again managed to smile, "Then, you are very fortunate, doctor."
Hilary understood the significance of the words of the mother. Not stretching the talks, she sighed at the adolescent. Giving her a small smile, she spoke, "Bye, princess. While biding farewell, everyone says, 'See you'. But I hope and pray that I don't see you in this hospital anymore, at least not for this problem again. God bless you, sweetie."
Folding her lips in and taking a sharp breath, she progressed towards the nursery where her little boy was waiting for her. When Hilary had been pregnant, she'd wanted a girl who could have been her reflection. After observing the current state of the country, she pondered deeply, 'Was my wish right and proper at all back at that time?'
"Ding-dong! Ding-dong!"
Hearing the calling-bell ringing, keeping the newspaper on the table which he'd been reading, the slate-haired police officer stood up and opened the main door of their house. Seeing his wife with their little boy in her arms who joyfully squealed after seeing his father, he smiled and let them in. Gou stretched his hands and tossed his legs, his mushy ruby orbs resembling his mother's, glimmered in excitement. Taking him from Hilary, Kai playfully nuzzled his nose against the tip of his son's nose at which the brunette giggled, forgetting the stress in her hospital a bit. Taking the handbag from his wife, the Russian put it on the table so that she could relax a bit.
"Sorry Kai…" She bit her tongue, "I've been late today. Have you had your lunch?"
"Hm," Staring at his wife, the cop answered, "You're looking exhausted. Go and get fresh. Then, have your lunch."
"Don't worry, I've had my lunch in the hospital cafeteria," Hilary assured, "Let me be fresh at first. After it, I'll prepare coffee for both of us."
When the father kept playing with his son and the little boy kept telling him the description of his day with other children of the hospital nursery in his own unique language, the mother took a hot shower. Under the shower, she tried to wash all her stress and worries off with the streams of the tepid water but too persistent they were. Letting the sweats of her cloths dry by hanging them from the nylon twines in the balcony, she dried her hair and came to the kitchen. After five minutes, with two cups of coffee on a small tray and came to the father-son duo. Placing it on the coffee-table, she sat beside her husband as their son kept playing with a brown teddy bear, lost in his personal world.
"Then, tell me," She handed him a cup, "How was your day?"
"Hmm….not so special," He took a sip, "Yours?"
The brunette felt crippled. Not having the coffee, she leaned her head against the shoulder of her husband and spoke, "I think I have to resign now, Kai."
"Why?" His eyebrows were raised high.
Heaving a sigh, the brunette told everything to her husband, not hiding a single fact. She thought that Kai would be shocked to no end. In spite of it, he just gave a sympathetic smirk as though it hadn't been a big deal. Hilary became surprised at it. She frowned, "Kai, this is such a serious matter. You cannot overlook it!"
"If you think that it's serious," Kai kept the cup on the tray, "Then listen what happened in my office today."
"What?" Hilary urged to know.
"Hmm…"
Flashback:
"Yes," The slate-haired Russian replied, sitting on his chair in his chamber, "They've been held captive."
"What?" The purple-haired politician punched on his table, not caring that he was talking to a police inspector, "They were my men, do you know that?"
"They raped a college student and burnt her alive," Kai's face was emotionless, "I don't prefer any other identity of them to those of rapists and murderers, Mr. Balkov."
"Mind your language!" Boris snapped, "What do you think of yourself, inspector? And why're you addressing me as Mr. Balkov? I am a renowned politician, call me Sir!"
"Okay," The inspector shrugged, "But I cannot do anything for them. It will be illegal."
"Mr. Hiwatari, they were my people," The politician hissed, "And I want them to be free at any cost."
"Oh really?" Out of nowhere, the redhead asked sarcastically, not able to hold his tongue anymore, "Where were you when your golden boys committed a heinous crime like rape and burnt the victim alive? The CCTV footages, the witnesses-everything says against them. I don't think that it will be much unfair if we burn them alive in the prison or torture them to their deaths!"
"Nonsense you are, Mr. Valkov," Brooklyn Masefield, the right-hand of Boris, sneered, "What were their faults by the way? That lady….err, that bitch was showing her figure like a real prostitute, wearing inappropriate cloths. If you keep the jar of honey open, how can you expect the ants and flies not to roam around it or enter it?"
"She was a human being, Mr. Masefield," Kai blinked, "Not honey."
"Besides, as far as we know, the victim was wearing modest outfits," Tala added, "Even if she wore impolite cloths, your men had no right to rape her. Rape is always a heinous and punishable offense in all the countries of the world. The criminals cannot get bail until we get the order from the court."
"How much do you want?" The politician wore a wicked smile, handing the inspector a piece of paper, "Here remains a blank cheque. Write the amount and release the captives, you'll get it soon."
Coldly, Kai stared at the purple-haired man once, once at his scarlet-haired colleague. Indifferently, he accepted the cheque. In front of the horrified eyes of the redhead who was continuously shaking his head right and left, the inspector lifted the pen to write the amount. Maintaining his calm facial expression, scribbling something on it, he handed it back to the representative. Tala simply facepalmed at the action of his co-worker. Only for the greed of money, he sold his self-respect and righteousness to a selfish, lustful and horrible man like Boris Balkov in this way? It was beyond his belief.
Smirking, the purple-haired took the cheque from the dual-haired Russian. No sooner had he read the amount than the smile from his face turned into vapors, anger regained its place proudly. Eyes became as wide as coins, he clenched his teeth and snarled, "What's this, Mr. Hiwatari?!"
"You read it right, Sir," Leaning against the black leather revolving chair, Kai crossed his arms, "I just want the blood of the convicts. After it, you can take their useless bodies back if you want, I'll have no problem."
"You scoundrel!" Boris cursed under his breath. Ignoring it, Kai stared at Tala whose sapphire pools were already filled with joy and admiration for his boss. The orange-head was fuming. He yelled to the politician, "Boss, I'm waiting only for your order. Let me slaughter these cheap, worthless cops, break the gates of the prisons and free my brothers."
"Nope, Brooklyn, it's not the time to be that wild," A creepy smile crept in Boris's lips as he turned to the police, "Mr. Hiwatari, Mr. Valkov, today, you didn't do the right thing by making this dirty joke."
"When have we joked?" Tala raised a brow, "Making an impossible demand to free the rapists, you yourself are joking. Please, learn to respect the rules and regulations, you will be respected too."
"I'm already a respected phenomenon in Russia," Boris retorted, "You don't need to worry about my honor. But….."
Stopping for a while and trying to shoot bullets at the cops with his eyes, he continued, "If our boys are not released within the next week, this police station will turn into cinders! This is the word of Boris Balkov! Brooklyn, let's go!"
Not bidding farewell properly to the cops, the purple-haired man left his seat as well as the room. Before following his footsteps, the tangerine-head rotated once at the policemen. Giving a toothy grin at them, he warned, "Don't take the words of boss so lightly. He's a man of his words. He'll surely do whatever he has said just now. See you!"
Flash forward:
Finishing his story, the cop took a sharp breath when his wife was staring at him, gulping and sweating hard even in the cold weather of Russia. As he stopped, she gasped, "Oh my! You really spoke those words to Boris Balkov, a powerful politician?"
"I don't care whether he's powerful or powerless, Hil," Kai finished his coffee, "I'm a cop. My job is to stand by the victims and punish the offenders, therefore, protecting the general mass from dangers. But…." He sighed, "I don't think I'm a good policeman, Hil."
"Hey, don't be upset, Kai," The brunette squeezed his shoulders, "You're such a good and responsible cop. If any other inspector were there in your shoes, he would simply sell himself to the black policies of Boris but you didn't. You kept sticking to your ethics and honesty. You know, I'm so a lucky woman because I have got a husband like you. I'm very proud of you, Kai."
"You're also a good doctor, Hil," He gently pulled his wife closer, "Despite the rolling eyes of the hospital authorities, you're always providing correct reports to the victims, making the tasks of the court easy. Why do you want to resign?"
"Surely, I give them the correct reports so that they can get justice," Hilary bit her lips, "But unfortunately, they aren't getting justice, Kai."
"Hmm….." Kai exhaled, "What to do, the judicial systems of Russia are…"
"Don't blame the systems," Hilary shook her head, finally sipping her coffee which turned cold, "Blame the corrupt politicians because they don't stop their disciples from occurring these terrible offenses. Using the power of money and threats, those bastards easily get released without getting punished. In the areas, they roam bravely as if nothing happened. But the victims…."
Tears were about to flood the beautiful ruby orbs of the doctor but she didn't stop, "But the victims bear the mental punishment for the rest of their lives. Neighbors, relatives, the people of the localities, society-everyone blames only them. Though they don't commit any crime, they…they have to hide in their house like fugitive criminals. Sometimes, even their family members start despising them. Reporters and newspapers try to make colorful stories, painting their characters according to their wishes. Eve-teasers keep standing before their houses and humiliate them to no end. Not able to tolerate it, some of the victims end their lives. Others keep spending their lives as living corpses. Most of the men remain reluctant to marry them. Why, Kai, why? Why is so much injustice happening here with women? Why should the women suffer always when they are the half of this world and bring the other half in this world, Kai?"
"Our brains have got rotten, Hil," Kai held Hilary tightly, "We men have always treated women like objects. This crime cannot be eliminated from the society until the mentality of men isn't getting changed. You know, we have failed as men."
"Don't say 'We', Kai," Sniffing, Hilary placed her head on his chest, "As long as men like you are present in this society, not a single rapist is going to survive. Just keep following the path of justice and honesty, my policeman."
"You too, my doctor." The slate-haired man brushed his lips softly on her temple. Blushing and chortling lightly, the brunette kept hugging her husband and watching their little prince cuddling with the teddy-bear and talking to it. Many had complained a lot about it. They'd questioned the couple why they had given Gou a teddy-bear instead of any toy pistol or car. But the couple wanted their son to know to love before knowing hatred and violence. The beautiful moment and the adorable scene lightened her mood a bit. Right then, the phone of the brunette rang. As she picked it up, her eyes glistened in happiness, reading the name on the screen.
"Who's that?" Kai asked.
"Dew!" She squealed in joy, "After a freaking month, she's called me. Kai, you play with Gou. I'm going to talk to her."
"Sure." Her husband smilingly nodded as she stormed in her room, picking up the call.
"Hello, oni-chan?" The purplette asked.
"Dew?!" Hilary was excited, "It's been a while we talked to each other. How're you? How's Tyson? And how's our nephew or niece who is yet to come?"
"We all are fine, oni-chan," Dew smiled, "How're you all by the way?"
"We all are fine too," The brunette replied, "But what happened to you all of a sudden? Why did you stop calling me? Before a month, you used to call me at least once in every week."
"Well…." Her cousin scratched her head, "We've transferred to a hilly area. Here, the network connection is so poor. So…"
"What?! A hilly area?" The doctor scowled, "Dew, did you forget that you're pregnant? Didn't I forbid you to travel in this state?"
"Oni-chan, actually, we aren't travelling…." Dew didn't finish her words.
"Then what?" Hilary was insisting, "If you aren't travelling, why did you have to go to a hilly area all of a sudden?"
"Oni-chan…." The voice of the purplette seemed braced. She couldn't speak after it. From the other side, the chocolate-haired girl heard only her sniffs.
"Dew…." Hilary softly asked, "What happened?"
What happened to Dew? What's she hiding from her cousin?
Cousin: T_T
Me: What happened? o.O
Cousin: You again killed my Tyson, I hate you didi! Hmph!
Me: Hell no! *Gulps* Tyson is perfect, alive, healthy and breathing in this fic.
Cousin: Hmm...then he must have eloped with another cousin of us! Why, didi, why? T_T T_T
Me: *Facepalms*
Anyways, this random conversation was given to lighten your mood. But please, don't overlook this fact only because the condition of your country is better than mine. Everywhere in this world, rape was a problem. Fortunately, in recent, death penalty has been drafted as the highest punishment of rape in Bangladesh. Yet, we don't know whether it will be applied in all the true rape cases or not. But, we should not give up. We should do something or say something so that this crime can be eliminated from all the countries of the world. So, let's stand against it, raise voice against it. :)
Well, should I continue it or not? *Biting nails in nervousness*
Dear Soha, I hope you'll like it. May God bless you and give you the ability of fulfill your goal. Go on, my girl! *Cheers*
Dear people, do read and review. Pardon the grammatical and spelling errors. Take care and stay safe :D
Once again, follow my voice: LET THE RAPISTS GET ROTTEN IN HELL!
