Another story today, so. This is the second part of Chapter 7. It will be a third one because I think it is very important to do good in this chapter. Well, talking about this part of the chapter, I think it is interesting, somehow. I have written it in Merlin's perspective (it will be the whole chapter), but I pretended to give some type of secrets in Merlin. So, if you know more or less what is going to do, you don't know exactly. It is strange, but I think that is different and interesting. Also, it is difficult to write, because I have never done this type of writing. So, I hope you like it, even so.

I'm not own from Merlin.

Cardel appeared from among the trees. Tall, middle-aged, beardless and dressed in a green cape. Cardel was the leader of the Northern Druids of Ascetir. Merlin had telepathically called him for a very urgent matter.

When he saw it appear, Merlin wondered if this was really doing the right thing. He didn't know exactly what to think, but he'd already decided and wouldn't back down like a coward.

"Emrys," the Druid said as a salute and did a reverence that Merlin quickly canceled assuring, as always, that was not necessary. He didn't know why they always had to bow. To him. Yes, it was Emrys and all that, but he was no angel or god, he was just a human, after all. And a young, in-experience human, and, according to Gaius, still naive.

Merlin hesitated before speaking, as he was not sure to show such information. But, after all, it was the druids. Peaceful people who lived in forests far from danger. They were, for Merlin, people with who could be trusted without worries. Merlin had always liked druids, not because he was Emrys. No, it was his way of behaving, the way they helped him. So he knew there was no problem trusting them.

Merlin told him what he needed to know, as this druid (as well known as someone who controlled the times very well: present, past, and future) was the best help he could have so far.

Merlin knew they should go somewhere more special for it, so he wasn't surprised to go for a walk. After a few minutes, they reached a river, where a large waterfall fell from a ravine. That's where Cardel pointed out, and Merlin knew they had arrived. What he was surprised by was seeing Cardel pass through the water veil of the waterfall. It took him a few seconds before he did it, too.

Inside there was a humid, dark cave. The sound of water falling from the cataract rumbled in his ears. Merlin followed Cardel to an area illuminated by torches on the wall that opened the way for a kind of room, in which, in the center, a kind of altar was adorned with red and white fabrics.

"Behold the Cave of Time," Cardel said majestically. Undoubtedly, Merlin was in a sacred and spiritual place. He basically felt it. But this time his magic flowed differently. It was as if he noticed the time following his pace, continuing through years and years, and centuries and centuries, never severing. It was very strange how he felt. He has never seen anything like it.

He felt literally like he understood the time as if he could control it. At that time, Merlin had understood the Mystery of Time.

Apparently, his expression was quite comical, as he saw Cardel laugh down, not in a bad way.

"I see you've learned the Mystery of Time," the druid said, "Very few can. Only some that contain enough power can do it. This cave has the very power of the Stone of Neahtid.

Hearing that name, Merlin understood. He remembered seeing that stone and feeling alike. As if time were flowing over him or something, only that at the moment he admired the stone, he was very attentive to understand what he had just seen, that it was not little. In fact, he heavily remembered that it was that same stone that taught him the future Camelot on fire. And he also recalled that he had not listened because of the reconciling Gaius' words, who claimed that the future was not written, but that it could be changed. That's right, you can change it.

At the time, Merlin realized there was something that didn't add up. And, because of his intelligence that few knew he possessed, he knew what it was about quickly.

"So in this cave was the Crystal of Neahtid?" asked Merlin, hoping not to be wrong.

"That's right."

"But wasn't he always supposed to be in the Crystal Cave?"

"Not always. Before the Great Purge, it was saved here, and thus the Cave of Time was created. Here you can see the Three Times. The Crystal of Neahtid had the power to let know the Mystery of Time, but by always using it to see the Times, the use that was once given to it has been lost: to know the Mystery of Time. Luckily, this cave has the same powers, because the stone was right here for a while. And that's how we, the Time Druids, or basically the Northern Druids of Ascetir, emerge."

Merlin understood. But what he didn't know if he was fascinated or frightened was knowing the Mystery of Time. In this cave, it was all very strange about time. It was as if the atmosphere was different, and with it, the time. And he couldn't know how. If it was going faster, if it was going slower... No, it didn't consist of speed, it was more general; as if they didn't live exactly in the present.

"Let's start with the matter," Cardel said enthusiastically as he made his way down the aisle.

At the time, Merlin didn't know if he'd done the right thing.

Well, that is the second part of the chapter. In this chapter, you can see the relationship of Merlin with the druids. In my opinion, in the series didn't do it that well. Oh, come on, he's Emrys. He should have more relation with the druids. That in my opinion. That is why Merlin asks help at the druids (Th Northern Druids of Ascetir) when he doesn't feel well. Well, I don't know what do you think about Merlin-Druid, but I think it is OK. Also, as you can see, these last chapters were more... somehow, action or plot chapters, I don't know how to call it. But in the future, will be more chapters of the relationship of the characters, some Mergana and Merthur, you know.

As always, you can tell me what you think. If is it good, bad, interesting, stupid, complete trash... Tell me what do you expect, also. I don't know, those type of things. I will answer your reviews and so. I hoped you really like it, and see you next time.

Next chapter: Merlin's perspective. Is the time to do it.
