All Nightmare Long

Chapter 434

Author's Note: Three years ago, I started this story. I never imagined that I would write so many chapters (with no end in sight) or that all of you would be so invested in Jicks! Thank you all for finding them and hanging around. As long as one person reads and review, I will continue the journey. Now if the writers would be nice enough and not screw up my plans, I'd be really happy. So this is the start of the major difference, with no Richonne. Can I get some reviews for this third anniversary? Thanks!

Michonne, Quinn and Spencer's POV:

Quinn sighed as she walked a long with Michonne, Spencer being in front of them. "Mom would be disappointed in me," she told Michonne.

"Why?" Michonne asked.

"Because he's off the rails, because he doesn't think that he doesn't have any family left. Mom made me promise to watch out for him, and I'm doing such a bang up job at it," Quinn said.

Michonne squeezed her arm. "It's not on you. He's grieving, and we all grieve differently," she told him.

Spenser sighed and he stopped and turned around. "You know I can hear the two of you, right?" he questioned.

"Good, maybe you'll realize that you aren't alone," Quinn told him.

"Hey enough, I'm fine," Spenser told them.

"You're out here walking alone with a shovel, Spence, that's not fine," Quinn pleaded with him.

"Quinn, you have Gus, Bri and Chloe back there. Michonne, you've got a life back there and maybe I will too, but before I can even think about that, I need to take care of something, I have to try," Spencer told them.

"So let me help," Michonne said.

"You can't," Spencer told her.

"What about me, Spence? You're out here with a shovel, and I know we didn't find mom back there, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you're out here looking for her. She's my mother too, so if that's what you are doing, then you can't stand there and say that I can't help," she told him.

Spencer looked at her. "Go back to Alexandria," he told her.

"No," Quinn told him. She turned at the sound of noise coming out of the woods.

"Carl? Lexi?" Michonne whispered before seeing the walker. She turned and looked at the Monroe adult children.

"I thought I saw her that night, I thought I did," Spencer mumbled.

Quinn stood frozen and took a breath. "I...I got to say goodbye, go ahead," she told him as Michonne grabbed the walker's arms.

Spencer stepped forward, and started to cry. He then pushed the knife in Deanna's head. "So that's why I was out here," he said as he cradled Deanna's body.

Quinn bent down beside him and hugged Spencer. "I would have helped, you know that," she mumbled into his shoulder.

"I know, but I had to do it alone," Spencer said as he stood up to dig the grave as Quinn took over holding the body. "Do you want help?" she asked Spencer without taking her eyes off Deanna.

"No, I have it," Spencer said as he dug and Michonne started caring a D in the nearest tree. None of the three adults said anything as he dug the grave. He then picked up Deanna's body and put it in the grave. He started putting dirt over the grave. "She left me a note, she said I still knew my way, I never knew my way," he said breaking the quietness.

Quinn looked up at him, still sitting on the ground. "She saw potential in all of us. I see it in you too," she told her brother.

Michonne looked at him. "You loved your mom, your dad and your brother," she said.

"Yeah," Spencer answered.

"You still have me, Gus, Bri and Chloe," Quinn said as she stood up. "We are still your family."

Michonne nodded. "You know your way, that's home," she told them.

"Most of my family is gone," Spencer said.

Michonne laughed and shook her head. "I've been out here chasing you all over the woods. You're sister is standing right beside you, you've got family, you still got a home, let's go," she said.

"You aren't allowed to pull away, Spence, I've lost enough family," Quinn said as she hugged him.

Spencer nodded before walking in front of them.

Daryl, Rick and Jewel's POV:

Daryl leaned up from the back seat of the car as he saw something in the road. "Stop," he told Jewel.

Jewel slammed on the breaks, as they saw the vending machine. "We're almost out of gas," she said as she got out of the car.

"We're going to have to go on foot," Rick told them as Jewel went to the trunk to get the bags.

Daryl went over to the vending machine and broke the glass, taking out two sodas. "This was a special request from the doc," he said.

"Whatever she wants, she saved Carl's life," Rick said.

"Jewel, head's up," Daryl said as he threw her a can of Doctor Pepper to her. "I know you don't drink that Orange stuff," he said.

Jewel caught it easily as Daryl handed the soda he opened to Rick. "We lost Ronnie, but she believed in Denise, and Denise did save Carl's life," Jewel pointed out.

Rick nodded. "We didn't know her and she turned out to be all right. If there's still people out there, and they're still people, we should bring 'em in," he said.

"Like this guy?" Daryl asked.

Jewel looked at both of them. "He attacked Rick, stole the keys to he truck and took off, so this guy is not on my list of favorite people right now," she told them. "So no not this guy," she added.

"No, not this guy," Rick agreed.

"We've still got a trail," Daryl said.

"Let's go," Rick said.

"And he's making us run so we don't run out of gas. Yeah I'm not fond of this guy," Jewel said as she followed them. Jewel nodded toward tire tracks as they went into the woods. Both Rick and Daryl peek over bushes then go down. Daryl made a motion toward Jesus bending down fixing a tire. The three of them separated, going in three different directions to sneak up on him.

Rick went behind the truck and snuck up from behind and grabbed him. "Hold still and maybe we won't hurt you," he told the other man.

"Sure thing," Jesus said as elbowed Rick in the stomach.

Jewel came from the other side of him. "Hey bastard, want to try me?" she asked as she went to punch him. Jesus avoided the punch and grabbed her arm and pushed her out of the way.

"Sorry," Jesus said as he ran away, Daryl going after him, Rick helping her up as Daryl punched Jesus and made him fall down.

"You OK?" Daryl questioned Jewel.

"I'm OK," Jewel answered as the three of them took out guns and pointed them at Jesus. "If you're going to call yourself Jesus, you should know the commandment though should not steal," she told him sarcastically.

"This is done," Rick told him as a walker was coming up from behind Jesus.

"Do you even have any ammo?" Jesus asked the three of them. The three of them shot at the same time and took down the walker then looked at each other before looking back at him.

"Does that answer your question?" Jewel asked.

"OK, you gonna shoot me over a truck?" Jesus asked.

"There's a lot of food on that truck," Rick said. "The keys now," he told him again.

"I think you know I'm not a bad guy," Jesus told them.

"Just a pain in the ass," Jewel said. "The keys," she repeated as all three of them cocked there weapons.

"What do you know about us?" Rick questioned. "My wife and already have asked for the keys, now this is the last time I'm asking. Give me the keys," he hissed.

Jewel watched him as he dug the keys out and gave them to Rick. She unzipped her bag and took out rope. "Here," she said as she handed it to Rick.

"Sit up," Rick ordered him tying hands then his feet.

"You're just gonna leave me like this? You're really gonna do that?" Jesus asked.

"The knots aren't that tight, you should be able to get free," Rick said.

"At least we are letting you live," Jewel said.

"That's because you are good people. Maybe we should talk now," Jesus said.

Daryl shook the broken can of soda and threw it at him. "Nah, here , in case you're thirsty," he said. "So long you prick," he said.

"You're going to have to share your seat,"Jewel told Daryl. "Rick's driving," she said.

Daryl shrugged as e opened up a bag of candy, handing her a piece then Rick one as he started the truck and took off.

"Still worked out, today is still the day," Rick said as he turned up the volume on the radio. "Hey look at that," he said as he pointed.

"Yeah a barn," Daryl said.

Jewel smiled. "Good things came out of the last time we were in a barn," she said.

"Do you hear that?" Rick asked.

Jewel turned down the radio, and looked at the two of them. "You got to be kidding me," she said.

"I think that son of a bitch is on the roof," Daryl said.

"Hold on," Rick told them as he slammed the breaks causing Jesus to go flying off the roof.

"Is he alright?" Jewel questioned.

Jesus stood up and took off running.

"Yeah he's OK," Daryl said as Rick started to follow him.

Daryl opened the door and jumped out of the truck to go after him. Jewel closed the door. "Daryl! she called after him.

"Daryl! Daryl!" Rick called after him. "Don't you even think about going out there, he's got him," he told Jewel.

"We came to a conclusion, ass hole," Daryl said as he grabbed him. "I got him!" he said.

Rick stopped the truck, both Rick and Jewel jumped out of the truck going to kill walkers as Daryl continued to fight Jesus.

"i'm going to help Daryl," Jewel said as she ran after him, just as Jesus climbed into the truck.

"Come here," Daryl said as he goes to grab Jesus.

Jewel went to open the door on the other side of the truck.

Jesus pointed a gun at Daryl. "Duck," he said as he shot the walker behind him.

"Thanks," Daryl said as he grabbed him, just as Jewel started to climb in the other door. "That's my gun!" he said as they started to fight.

Jewel grabbed her gun and went to point it at Jesus. He elbowed her in the stomach, causing her to drop the gun. As Jesus continued to fight Daryl, the car got put in reverse causing it to start to go in reverse.

"Jump," Daryl told Jewel as he pulled Jesus out of the truck, punching Jesus out. Jewel and Daryl watched the truck go into the water.

"You both all right?" Rick asked as he kissed her.

"Yeah," both Daryl and Jewel answered.

"Law of averages, that's bull shit man," Daryl said. "Let's go check them cars, get the hell out of here," he said.

Jewel sighed as she looked out at the passed out man. "We can't leave him here," she said.

"Watch me, "Daryl said.

Rick looked at him. "He did help you," he told him.

"Maybe," Daryl mumbled.

"He did," Jewel told her brother.

"He ever pull a weapon on you?" Rick asked.

"Fine, let's put him up a tree," Daryl said.

Jewel glanced at him then at Jesus laying on the ground. "You hit him pretty hard, and as a nurse, I think he needs to be seen by Denise."

"Well don't just stand there, help me," Daryl he told Rick.
