Rachell's POV
Today is the first day of my new school, and I guess it won't be bad. I just hope that no one bothers me too much, or even looks at us. And by us I mean a force that's in my head, but misunderstood. She's the only "friend" I have left, to be honest. I saw the bus coming to a stop near me, and pulled my hoodie tighter with my headphones on my head with some music playing. Pulling my backpack up to my shoulders more, I stepped on the bus, spotting a seat at the back where no one else was around.
As I walk to the seat people give me judgemental looks, causing me to shrink more into my crimson hoodie. I sat in my seat and looked out the window while the music was still playing. I decided to get my sketchbook out and doodle something. Soon enough the bus got to school and everyone got off.
Rachell had received her schedule yesterday in the mail, and looked it over again. All the classes I don't like.. She thought grumpily. Then her other side reminded her in her head, "Try to stay positive. I know we don't Social studies or Science, but they are required classes."
Rachell sighed aloud as she made her way through the halls. It was fairly early- and students milled around the halls, talking to one another and gossiping. Rachel felt a twinge of sadness. I used to be like them.. Talking about my crush and classes.. Rachell thought with another pang of sadness.
She pushed the thoughts away and continued walking to her Math class. At least she got to start the day with one of her favorite subjects! As she walked in the teacher- A woman with formal clothes on and long brown hair- nodded at her. Rachel walked over to her and found where her seat was, in the back of the class next to someone named "Bendy".
"Odd name.." Her other side muttered in her head.
He wasn't there yet, in fact the whole classroom was a little bare. But Rachel sat down and pulled out a pencil. She had a small conversation with her other side as she waited for class to start.
"Do you think we'll find someone like Lilac?" She asked, slightly appearing by her desk and tilting her head.
Rachel shook her head, "She's one in a million.. I doubt it." She just wanted to stop thinking about her former crush.
Just then a big blob came into the room, before Rachell realized it was a person, or rather, a demon. He had giant horns that came out of his head and a tail trailed behind him. He sat down beside her.
"So you're new?" He asked.
Rachel bit back a sigh and nodded.
"Oh. My name's Bendy, I'll show you around if you like," he offered.
"Eh.. I'm alright," Rachell declined.
He shrugged and pulled out a pencil, and soon enough class started. The work wasn't hard- in fact Rachell had been ahead of where this class was at her old school. The period went by slowly, and she got to know a bit about Bendy.
In her second period Rachell had a hard time. Her Social Studies teacher had made her go to the front of the class and introduce herself.
"Uh.. Hey, I'm Rachell, and I'm from.. Another school.." She muttered. Even her other side was uncomfortable.
She thought she heard a few snickers and comments, so she was glad when the teacher motioned for her to sit down. She spotted an empty seat at the back in a corner, science it seemed that there was no seating chart.
There was a girl sitting across from her, she had long brown hair and a guarded look on her face as she stared at Rachell for a moment, then looked away. She wore a vest with a T-shirt underneath.
"Seems like an OK partener.." Her other side commented, "I still don't trust her, though."
"You don't trust anyone," Rachell whispered in reply, rolling her eyes.
Her other side made a scoffing noise and turned to the front of the room where the teacher was giving instructions.
Reese's POV
Reese stared at Rachell. She knew that new kids were usually weird, but she could've sworn she was talking to someone. Or just saying something under her breath.. She thought, shrugging it off, So long as she doesn't touch me, I'm good!
Reese had an extreme haphephobia, and couldn't stand any physical contact. That's why she didn't have a PE class.
The teacher set up a class assignment, something about the ancient Egyptians. Reese worked quickly and finished the assignment easily. Social studies wasn't her favorite class, but she was an all-A's student. Her new partner, however, was struggling. I'm sure the teacher will cut her some slack, Reese thought. Just then Rachel started murmuring to herself. "No, it's not that.. Cleopatra killed herself, didn't she?" -a pause, as if she was listening to someone- "Right, right.."
Reese stared at her in puzzlement. Then a wave of suspicion washed over her. Rachel was giving off a very strange vibe- something she couldn't put her finger on. It was almost disturbing. Is it the way she shrinks into her hoodie? Is it the way her expression changes like someone is talking to her? Reese realized with a jolt that she was still staring when Rachell locked eyes with her. Reese quickly glanced away in embarrassment.
What's with me today? She scolded herself, I shouldn't be so harsh on the new kid..
Yet she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was up.
Rachel's POV
Break started, Rachell decided to go outside and sit by a tree while the other students were talking and playing soccer/football. No one distracted her with her art and music.
"So, what did you think about Bendy? Did you see what he was?" Rachel's other side popped up, sitting next to her. Still keeping her focus on her drawing, she replied, "I'd rather not think too much about it…"
"Oh, come on.. You gotta at least get into something more exciting, me! We both know that."
With a sad sigh Rachel nodded and pulled a picture of a group of three people. Rachell; with her arm wrapped around a wolf girl who had pink faded hair. Behind them was a blonde-haired wolf wearing a blood-red sweater. Rachel turned the photo over that had names in different handwriting.
"Rachell, Liliac, Hunter BFFs Forever" looking at the picture with sad eyes, Rachell couldn't help but let a single small tear roll down her cheek. More followed after before a full-on sobbing happened.
She could feel a hand rubbing her back "I know, Rachell, I know how you feel.. I miss them too." In the distance of her blurry vision she could see a tall figure walking towards her along with some other people, but was too focused on her thoughts to take notice.
"Hey, are you ok?" she looked towards the figure and wiped her eyes, getting all her stuff together "U-Uh yeah… I'm ok, I just need to be alone right now." Rachel said while quickly walking away to the toilets.
Reese's POV
Rachel walked away to the bathrooms while she, Bendy, and Night stared after her.
"I hope she's okay.." Night murmured.
"Yeah," Bendy agreed, "Being the new kid isn't fun."
Then Reese spotted something on the floor. Leaning down to pick it up, she realized it was a photo of three people. She recognized one of them as Rachel and felt a prick of pity in her stomach. There were two others, leaning in with smiles on their faces. On the back were three names: 'Rachell + Lilac and Hunter', followed by 'BFFS'. There was a heart drawn around Rachell + Lilac.
Night and Bendy looked at the picture silently.
"No, being the new kid is terrible.." Night concluded.
