All Nightmare Long

Chapter 452

Author's Note: I see people are still finding this story, thank you! Thank you all for reading and reviewing. Please review, I know that you guys are still reading and loving it and I'm not writing this for myself. That's not any fun.

Michonne, Carl, Rick and Jewel POV:

Jewel kissed Rick and hugged him. "Be careful alright?" she pleaded.

"I will," Rick assured her. "I'll come back, I always do," he told her as he touched his face.

"I'm afraid that one day you won't, or I won't," Jewel admitted. "Watch out for Summer, make sure she doesn't do something reckless."

"She's a Dixon, she's thinking about protecting everyone else, but herself. Don't worry, I'll watch her, make sure she doesn't take on Negan alone," Rick assured her.

Jewel nodded as she pecked the side of Rick's face. She glanced up as Michonne came up. "Michonne."

"I'll watch these guys for you," Michonne assured her answering Jewel's unanswered question.

"I know," Jewel told her as she squeezed Michonne's hand.

"And I'll keep an eye out for her," Carl said as he came out on the porch with Judith.

Jewel raised an eyebrow. "You're talking about Judy right?" she teased.

Carl grinned. "Yeah, let's go with that," he teased.

Rick laughed as he pulled Carl into a hug and kissed Judith's head. "Keep them safe," he told Carl.

"I will dad, I always do," Carl said.

"Love you," Jewel told Rick as she kissed him.

"We doing this or what?" Daryl questioned.

"Hold your horses, big brother," Jewel told him. "You better not be leaving without giving me a hug," she told Daryl.

Daryl shook his head and came over and hugged her. "Better?"

"Always," Jewel replied.

"let's go,"Daryl said. "Load up," he bellowed to everyone.

Jewel took Judith out of Carl's arms. "Can you wave byby to everyone?" she asked. Jewel grinned as she took Judith's hand and waved it to them. "Byby," Jewel said for Judith as she kissed the top of her head. She watched everyone leave and go through the gate.

"You want to be with them," Carl stated.

Jewel shifted Judith on her hip. "I do, but I don't have to be out there every time. There's other people that can watch everyone's back. I need to be here sometimes too,"she said as she kissed Carl's cheek.

Glenn and Summer's POV:

Glenn moved back to sit next to Summer in the RV. "You're being awful quiet back here,"he said to her.

"Just thinking," Summer told him.

"I think we all have this on our mind. It's a big step," Glenn told her.

"You haven't killed anyone before," Summer stated rather than asked.

"No, I haven't and I wished that you wouldn't have had to either," Glenn said.

"But I have and you can't go back," Summer said. "Dale wouldn't want this, Hershel wouldn't. This goes against everything they believed in, everything we believed in the beginning. A year ago, we would have never done this, we would have never done this. Dale was worried we would lose our humanity, and I think we have," Summer said sounding defeated. "I wish I was strong enough as Dale and Hershel was, that I could have stood strong, like they did, like Morgan."

"You can stay back with Maggie, you don't have to do this," Glenn told her.

Summer shook her head and looked at him. "I'm part of this, it doesn't mean that I have to like doing it."

"That's how you know you haven't lost your humanity," Glenn said as he squeezed her hand. "If I have to repeat that to you every day, I will," he assured her as the sound of beeping horns started, signaling the caravan to stop.

"Time to do this,"Summer said as she got up off the RV seat and went out.

Jes shut the car door and got out of the car right behind the RV. "So everyone knows the plan?"

"We are looking for male walkers, that could pass as Gregory," Beth said.

"So we just bing back random heads?" Heath questioned.

"Basically, yes," Summer replied.

"Aaron, Rosita, you start here, we'll peel off every quarter mile, meet back here in a couple hours, see what we got," Rick responded as he walked over to Gabriel. "There's no turning back now.

"I could walk, maybe run a little, maybe a lot. I'm not going anywhere. I wanted to learn, you taught me for a reason," Gabriel told him.

"Why are you still wearing that?" Rick questioned nodding to his priest outfit.

"I'm still who I was, I think," Gabriel responded. "And, it'll be harder to see me in the dark."

Rick laughed and put his hand on Gabriel's shoulder.

Carol, Rosita and Mar's POV:

Carol lit up a cigarette and stood off to the side. Mar looked at her. "As many times as you've gotten on Daryl about not smoking and you pick up the habit"

"Stress relief," Carol answered as Rosita came over.

"I almost told everyone at the meeting," Rosita said.

"We're not telling them," Carol said.

Morgan stood up in that church and tried to talk us of this,"Rosita said.

"What's wrong with that?" Carol asked.

"Summer doesn't think we should be doing this," Mar said.

"She didn't stand up in front of the whole town and tell them that we shouldn't be doing this. She kept it between the family. He doesn't know what the hell he was talking about. He should take the win that we didn't kick his ass out for hiding that psychopath," Rosita said.

"Look, I'm angry at Morgan for what he did with the wolf. Mitch could have been killed. But it just isn't Morgan that we would be throwing out, he is responsible for Jenny. Do you want to be responsible for sending a child out there? I don't," Mar said.

"Any one of us could take care of her, take her in," Rosita said.

"If we told everyone, they'd find out about Denise you know that," Carol said.

"That hyo de puto tried to stand there and act like we didn't know what were doing," Rosita said.

"He doesn't want to kill," Carol said.

"We don't want to kill. We don't like it, it happens," Rosita said. "I'm not telling anyone," she said.

"You need to catch up with Aaron," Mar told Rosita.

Heath, Glenn and Beth's POV:

Beth killed a walker, watching Glenn doing the same.

Heath looked at the walker. "What do you two think?"

Beth looked at Glenn. "It could work, I mean, maybe," Beth said. "What do you think?"

Glenn bent down. "Maybe, if we cut the hair, trim the beard, if it's dark."

"Very dark," Beth reiterated.

"We're going to kill those people. Tonight. I've been lucky, I haven't had to do it before. Have you?" Heath asked.

"I've been lucky too," Glenn said.

"I could have killed someone back at the prison. I mean shots were flying everywhere," Beth said. "And I was ready to kill Dawn back at the hospital, but I didn't have too," she said.

"You nervous?" Heath questioned.

"I am," Beth answered.

"Have you ever seen something that um, afterwards, you didn't want to sleep, you weren't hungry because when you closed your eyes you could see it? And when you try to eat..." Glenn said.

"Yeah," Heath answered.

"Me too. Beth saw her father beheaded, I know it haunts Beth cause it haunts Maggie. Killing somebody has got to be worse than that. It just has to be. So, yeah, I'm nervous. For the whole thing man, for the whole thing," Glenn answered as he picked up the head.

"All of us are nervous," Beth said. "We'd be fools not to be."

"Rick doesn't seem nervous, neither does Daryl or Jes," Heath said.

Glenn and Beth exchanged glances. "It changes us," Beth said as she walked away.

Jes and Rick's POV:

Jes stood on top of the RV looking around.

Rick looked up. "See anything?" he asked.

"All clear," Jes said. "How are we playing this?" she asked.

"Go in at night, go in a few hours before, watch from a far," Rick answered.

"We can't take everyone, they'd notice. We're a rather large group," Jes said. "I'll take Sasha, Zihayr and Brad. We'll go by foot, not take cars, I'll place Sasha high up as I can, get a clean shot at any sniper's on the roof. If they are smart, they'd have sniper's on the roof. I would if I was them," Jes said.

"I'm glad you're on our side," Rick said.

"It could have been just as easy for me to have joined a maniac like Negan," Jes said.

"No, you couldn't have," Rick said. "You didn't join the Governor, you didn't join Terminus," he pointed out.

"If I was alone, it wouldn't have been that hard to fall into someone like Negan. I have people that I care about, worth fighting for. And, if you tell people that I said that, I'd deny it,"Jes said with a smirk.

"I wouldn't think of doing any such a thing," Rick said.
