Chapter 3: A new point of view.
"So zealous and yet so vulnerable." Inuyasha breathed, eyes fixed on Kagome's pink lips. The king steadied his breath, he didn't want to give away the level of lust building inside him. He could see her waiting in anticipation of the kiss, to his surprise, she didn't fight him. He had her right where he wanted her, pressed against the jasmine flowers and himself. Her soft body felt new, like he had never held another woman against him. Her soft mounds pressed against his chest, fueled his arousal. Her sweet flushed face stoked a fire that was lit from the moment he saw her at the table, mouth full of chocolate mousse.
This silly girl, talking with her mouth full in his presence. Normally he would have her removed from the court for ill manners but the smile on her face was inviting. He couldn't fight his sudden interest in knowing more about her. To make his sudden enthusiasm less apparent, Inuyasha looked to his right at the young girl next to him.
She will do, he thought to himself. He was sure to point to Kagome second to avoid any suspicion from his current queen. The queen, Kikiyo, was very hands on with the court members and if one was receiving more attention than she deemed necessary, they would disappear. Usually that wasn't an issue for the king, girls came a dime a dozen. The king requested new girls here and there and the queen only gave dirty looks as retaliation, but Inuyasha didn't want to risk it. He felt drawn to this raven haired woman and wanted to know why. His determination led to him having her, half naked in front of him, ripe for the picking. His primal nature took over, he began seeing red and before he knew it, he grabbed her. The feisty woman snatched away from him and his demonic instincts powered his movements, slapping her to the floor. This arousal had to be quenched. He considered picking her up and carrying her kicking and screaming but he took the opportunity Ayumi gave him. He flashed the intriguing woman a smile to let her know, he was gonna be thinking of her. The next morning Inuyasha felt a pang of guilt hit him when he remembered his actions the night before. Placing a hand on his forehead, he sighed heavily.
What do women like? He thought to himself. Apparently his attempted apology fell flat, so very flat but still here he was, pressed against the woman he so craved. Instead of mashing his mouth onto hers like he wanted to, Inuyasha released her from his press and turned away. He wanted to look over his shoulder to see Kagome's face. Was she disappointed that he didn't kiss her? She certainly looked like she wanted it, the thought of her wanting him peaked his arousal again. His royal attire getting tighter below the belt, Inuyasha decided he had two options. Either he was going to ravish this woman right here and now or he had to make a swift exit before his demonic urges took over him once more.
"What lovely orchids." Kagome sang behind him, snapping him out of his own amorous thoughts. Inuyasha turned to see the woman had moved along the garden wall. She was lightly tapping the petals of a vibrant purple orchid. Clearing his throat, the king walked beside her.
"I see I should have sent orchids in place of Jasmine's?" He asked her with a chuckle, trying to wipe his mind of their previous position.
"I do not see how the kind of flower would change the gesture." She responded plainly. The king took a glance down at her, the flush was all but gone from her face and a sadness crept in its place.
"Well, there are many flowers in this garden I could have chosen, some so rare I doubt many in the world will never see them." Inuyasha said, trying to put something in place of that sadness, curiosity maybe? He took a step back and gestured his arm for her to walk to their right.
"Those blue flowers there, they are called jade vines. Believe it or not, they are in the same family as peas." Inuyasha smiled when he saw the surprise on her face. His little floral lesson was working, although all the knowledge came from his wife's sister who had passed a few years earlier. The old woman, Kaede, helped him cultivate the private garden after his betrothal to the Queen. Inuyasha had grown fond of the woman without realizing it and she was almost a motherly figure in his life. Upon her death, the king refused to be seen for two weeks straight. He stayed locked up in his room, not even the Queen entered and he only left to tend to the garden.
"The color is almost as if it is glowing." Kagome spoke, reaching out to touch the purple steamed plant.
"They do actually, at night I mean. You should come back and see them." The king spoke before thinking about his words. Although he would hope she would come back to see them, he also began to think of how she could see them from the window in his chambers, at night. When her face didn't change, Inuyasha assumed the thought was his own and strolled on.
"Oh my goddess, this one smells like vanilla! How could you choose jasmine over this, it's simply delightful." Kagome sang, stooping to smell the deep red flower. Inuyasha's ears perked up at her comment. Was she insinuating he should have more delivered to her?
"Chocolate cosmos, they open up at night as and the fragrance is even more delectable in the warmth." He was actually enjoying sharing this information with her. The smile that graced her features brought a sense of accomplishment to him, one the ruling the kingdom never had.
"So do you prefer scent to meaning?" Inuyasha asked, hoping he could teach her more about his little slice of paradise. Kagome stood straight and turned her head to him with a small smile.
"I am afraid that I don't know many flower meanings. I do know roses are for passion and love. Oh and buttercups, my mother told me once they were innocent and humble flowers." Kagome spoke with a hit of nostalgia on her tongue.
She must miss her mother. Inuyasha thought, pondering how he could remedy that situation. Wait. Why did he even care? What was it about her that made him so soft all of a sudden? The king was at war with himself, he couldn't decide if he was okay with his behavior because he couldn't explain it.
I should just have her, right now. That is what this urge is, it's lust. He thought trying to convince himself there was nothing more than a physical curiosity that drew him to her. Inuyasha began to move so that he was standing behind her, the fragrance of the flowers muted her own jasmine mixed scent. The silver haired halfbreed wanted another whiff, he was going to quench this thirst once and for all. His hand raised to grab her when she spoke again, freezing him in his tracks.
"What about these?" Kagome asked curiously, when she didn't receive an answer she turned to look at her king with a questioning expression. Inuyasha pulled his hand away just in time to lean over for a view of the flora she inquired about.
"Snapdragons." He stated as she turned back to the long stem pink petals.
"They are a symbol of deception or fascination." Inuyasha swallowed, forcing his thoughts deep down. Now wasn't the time, no matter how bad he wanted it, it could wait. She was just another maiden and there were at least two other court members he hadn't gotten his hands on. Kagome spun to face him and smiled.
"Thank you, your majesty." She said with a curtsy. "This was much more pleasant than I had imagined."
Her smile pulled on his heart strings and the delicious view of cleavage he got when she bowed, pulled on other parts of his being. It was time to end this meeting, he feared what he would do if she were to flash him again.
"I will take my leave, please stay and enjoy the garden to your heart's content." Inuyasha gave a small nod as he spoke before turning to leave the woman alone. He retreated through the door to his own chambers, shut it and leaned his back to the door. With a deep inhale, the king held his breath for a moment before sighing.
"Rough time at breakfast?"
Inuyasha's golden eyes snapped up in surprise to see his Queen sitting by the fireplace. Although they had their own private chambers, she frequently slept in his after their union, but as of late her visits were less and less.
"Well?" Kikyo asked again, standing to face him. She does resemble her. Inuyasha thought but didn't say a word, instead he marched over to her and smothered her with a kiss. The king's strong arm snaked around her waist, pulling her impossibly closer. The pale faced woman pushed her hands to his chest and leaned back to look him in the eye. Inuyasha was sure she was going to question him but he had no intention of answering her. Strong hands lifted the woman's tiny frame off the floor and carried her to the plush bedding. With his claw, the half demon sliced the laced up ties on the front of her dress. She gasped and snapped at him in defiance about ruining her gown but Inuyasha couldn't hear her words over the blood pounding in his ears. He continued to remove her clothing, all the way down to her undergarments until she was completely naked. Most of her coverings were shredded in the process, not giving any care to the tattered mess he left on the floor. By the time he was undressing himself, the queen's face was flushed and she no longer questioned his intentions. She sat up quickly and helped him undo the last of the buttons holding in his erection.
Filled with the need to quell his hunger with urgency, Inuyasha pushed Kikyo back onto the bed and flipped her over so her ass was high in the air. All of his fervor, excitement and desire was driving him into her at incredible speeds. The hanyou closed his eyes tightly, still thrusting into the soft pale queen. Memories flashed through his mind, raven hair, the sweet smell of jasmine, chestnut brown eyes, that lovely pink smile. He reminded himself of the feeling of her body squished against the trellis, an imaginative image of her in the white flower bath water driving him to dig his clawed hands into the queen's soft hips. Her cries, still that of pleasure, coming from the face in his mind, threw Inuyasha into his orgasm. He rolled over next to the limp woman beside him and opened his eyes. Kikyo had a coy smile on her red face. She glanced down at her hip, a tiny bubble of blood welding up from her puncture mark.
"It has been forever since you've had me with such fierceness." She chuckled, placing her hand on the king's heaving chest. He reached up and gave her hand a quick squeeze before getting up from the bed.
"My apologies, I got carried away." He offered, walking to the washroom doorway. Kikyo didn't have a moment to respond before he disappeared into the next room.
A/N: This chapter was a bit short I know but I wanted to give a glimpse into what Inuyasha's thoughts were. If you enjoyed this view let me know and I will continue to add chapters that are based through his eyes.
Also little bit of citrus in this chapter, just testing the waters a bit here. _
