All Nightmare Long
Chapter 459
Author's Note: I am really really hating this episode with the female savior's. It seems to be going on forever. Of course, I'm going to fill in gaps of the episodes missed. It seems they just put in random crap before they finally introduced the devil in disguise. I am of course going to fill in blanks that the episode missed. I just wrote a half of chapter and then realized both people are in different spots and not near each other. Yeah, so I had to change it. Review please.
Rick and Daryl's POV:
Rick walked over to Daryl who was looking for tracks. "Anything?"
"Car tracks, a lot of them, coming and going from the outpost. Mucking things up," Daryl answered. "They've got reinforcement's coming, we'll need to keep one alive, get the information from them."
"I know you want to ram in there, take your chances but we have to play it smart," Rick said.
"Would you if it was Jewel? Summer?" Daryl asked.
"I wouldn't want to, but I'd have you telling me the same thing I am telling you now. That's what we do, right? We keep each other from going off the rail," Rick told him.
"Yeah, yeah, that's what we do," Daryl admitted.
"We'll get them, but I'm not betting against the three of them. Those savior's have no idea who they took," Rick told him.
"Yeah, it would only be worse if Jewel or Summer was there," Daryl admitted.
A whistle came from up the road. "We got incoming, three trucks loads," Abraham yelled out.
Daryl and Rick looked at each other and nodded. "Rosita, Sasha, hit the last truck, Abraham, Glenn, front truck. The rest of us, take out people coming out of the trucks, Daryl and I got the middle one. We'll keep one alive, we need information. Get any weapons and the walkie's. Jes and the others should be coming up on us soon," Rick instructed. Rick aimed his weapon a long with the other's and let out a whistle as they took shots at the vehicles. He watched as the driver's of the three vehicle's lost control and crashed. The group started approaching the vehicle's taking shots at the men who was trying to escape. Surprisingly, they're weren't a lot of them in the three vehicles, but they did try to fire random shots at the group.
Rick held up his hand stopping the other's from firing and approached the one man that he had shot in the knee. Sasha kicked the gun out of his hand as he had fallen. "You're going to answer my question's," he told the man as he bent down.
"Screw you," the man hissed.
Rick tilted his head. "Look, we've already got one of you alive, we want to make a trade for ours. They've got three, now we have two. I need to know where they are holding our people."
The man laughed. "You're going to kill me anyway," he said.
"Like I said, keeping you alive I've got two to trade. Maybe you make it out of this after, maybe not. I shoot you now, or I shoot you later. Do you really want to take the risk that you're going to die at the end of this? We're not all like your man Negan," Rick told him. "Now, where are they keeping my people?"
The man looked around and looked at Rick. "You swear you're going to let us live?"
"You're going to have to trust me," Rick answered.
"About 30 minutes from here, west," the man answered.
Rick nodded at Sasha who handed him the radio. "Call your person, don't let her know anything went down. Let her know that you are 30 minutes out. One wrong move, one word I don't like, we're all taking shots at you," he told him.
The man took the radio. "Paula, come in," the man called.
"This is Paula, where are you guys?" she asked.
The man looked at Rick. "We're thirty minutes out, give or take. Ran into a bunch of the undead, had to take them out."
"Well hurry up. That prick isn't going to wait forever for us to contact him, need the backup," the woman responded.
The man looked at Rick. "Yeah, we're coming," he said as Rick took the radio away. "She's expecting us."
"She is, but you aren't going to be there," Rick said as he pulled the trigger. "Rosita, stay here, wait for the other's."
"On it," Rosita nodded as she took the extra walkie talkie.
"Spread out, let's go," Rick said.
"Rick," Glenn said as he nodded up the road at a car coming.
"Be on guard," Rick said.
"It's our people," Daryl said as the car got closer.
Jes stopped the car and the group got out. "Looks like we missed one hell of a party. Get anything?"
"We're about 30 miles out, everyone's dead. This one told the woman that he was on the way, she's not expecting us," Rick said. "You guys made out alright?"
"Negan wasn't there, if that's what you are asking. He wasn't there," Zihayr responded. "So far you're making out on this deal a whole lot better than Hilltop is."
"Shut up," Daryl hissed. "We're not done here, and they still got three of our people," he said.
"This is a whole lot more than a group of twenty or thirty people," Abraham pointed out.
"That's what we saw, groups of twenty or thirty," Jesus answered.
Summer stood up from looking at the bodies. "He's not here. I need help getting these bodies out of here, we can take the cars, make up time. We won't make it on foot, not enough time," she said as she started moving bodies with Sasha and others helping.
"Rick, she needs to go back home," Jes said quietly.
"Why? What happened?' Rick asked.
"One of them was still alive, grabbed her, almost choked her, Aaron handled it, but when she realized Negan wasn't there," Joey started.
"She hasn't said much, and withdrawing, and could easily go off like Merle," Jes said.
"Summer aint like that," Daryl said.
"Summer's a Dixon, who hates when her family is being hurt. If we get there, and Negan isn't there, Jesus may wind up with something broken, or dead," Jes said.
"She can't go back, not until this is over," Rick said. "It's not safe for her to be sent back alone. I'll keep her with me."
"She's not wanting to stay with anyone, she wanted to take off before we were ready," Joey said.
"Go in guns a blazing. Sound familiar?" Jes questioned.
Daryl sighed and looked back at his niece. "I'll talk with her," he said. "Summer, need to talk to you," he said.
Summer looked up. "Can't right now, got to get this done," she said.
"Summer Grace Dixon, now," Daryl said as he nodded toward the road.
"What?" Summer asked as she joined him.
"A little less attitude would be nice. Jes wants to send you back, says you're getting restless, her and Joey are worried that you'll go in guns blazing like Uncle Merle could. Like I can, like your mom can," he said.
"I'm frustrated, Negan wasn't there, he isn't here. I'm not going anywhere. Maggie, Carol and Mar are still in there. This isn't over, it's not over until Negan has a bullet in his brain. I just, I don't trust Gregory. I just won't feel OK until I know this is over," Summer said.
Daryl nodded. "You stay near Rick or me, that's not up for discussion. You don't do anything unless one of us is with you."
"I'm not a kid anymore," Summer reminded him.
"I know, and this isn't about that. It's about you being worried about people, and willing to sacrificing yourself. It's a Dixon thing," Daryl said as he kissed the top of her head.
"Let's go," Abraham said.
Mar, Maggie and Carol's POV:
Mar and Maggie both notice Carol starting to breath heavily and looked at each other than her not sure what was going on.
"When was the last time anyone checked this place?" Paula asked.
"It was fine a month ago," Michelle answered.
"Sweety, that was a month ago, shit happens quick. The guns gone by by, the food gone by by. We got growlers up and down the hall," Molly says.
"Means people can get through too," the injured man said. "Maybe we should get gone too," he said.
"Where the hell too?" Michelle asked.
Maggie and Mar both call out for Carol but are muffled.
"No where! The dead is in the hall, free ass holes get here before our the cold bloods will buy us some time," she said. She looked over at Mar and Maggie. "Shut up!"
Mar looked between herself and Carol getting ready to move toward her if possible.
"Jesus it's bleeding, it's not supposed to keep bleeding," the injured man said.
"Molly, give me the rope," Paula said.
"I'm not losing it, I'm not," the man said.
"So you grind it out, Jesus Donnie," Michelle said.
"Screw you 'Chelle. We have to get him back, he can fix it. We have to Paula," Donnie said.
"No, I saw them, you didn't. They took the place down, they got guns, they'll kill us too," Paula said.
Maggie stomped her foot down. "Hey!"
Mar started to scoot over toward Carol.
"Not going down like that, not after making it this far," Paul says.
"Hey!" Maggie yells through her gag.
Michelle turned. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" she asked Mar as she pointed the gun to her head. "Back over there," she ordered.
"No," Mar said through her gag.
Paula marched over to Maggie taking off her gag. "What? Take off that one's gag Michelle."
"She's hyperventalating! Someone needs to take her gag off!" Maggie said.
Paula looks at the others and shrugs. "What about that one? Why are you risking your life?"
"She's a nurse," Maggie said as Mar shot her a dirty look.
"What the hell? You didn't think to tell us that," Donnie said.
"You told me not to talk then you gagged me. I'm not helping you until I help my person," Mar said as she looked up at Michelle. "You can shoot me, he's still going to be screwed."
"Jesus she's a nervous little bird aint she?" Molly asked looking at Carol.
"Look at you, Bitch. How did you make it this far?" Michelle asked.
"Honey you need to take some yoga breaths and calm your ass down," Molly told her as Carol dug at her pocket and Molly took out the crucafix out of her pocket and gave it to her, Carol trying to calm down. "You're one of those," Molly said.
"Ok, she's taken care of, you can help me," Donnie said.
"I haven't checked her out yet. I'm not helping you with shit until I look both of them over," Mar told them.
"We can kill one of them and still have two to trade," Donnie said.
"You won't get your guy back if one hair on our head is touched," Maggie said.
