"So, this is it?" Hamish asked as he took his sunglasses off. He set the cradle down being sick of having to be the guy to carry it out into the middle of this field.

"Yes." Alejandro responded. "This is the time tear."

"And Vera thinks it was caused by an eruption?"

He sniffed in the air and looked around to the old burned spot. "This is where they took her. I can still smell the bones."

"Right, let's get this over with so I can get back to the temple." He got it ready to seal the tear in time, cracking his neck as he pulled out a dagger. As Hamish went to speak the incantation the rift started to light up. "Alejandro?"

A bright flash forced the jaguar to crouch down while Hamish shielded his eyes. The white light engulfed them both, around them the world went silent. Once the light faded they found themselves standing on the campus of Belgrave. Both of them looked around seeing students busy trying to get to class or the library, some just trotting off to get a drink and hang out but something wasn't right. Hamish didn't know anyone here, he didn't recognize a single student and the outfits? What the hell were these kids wearing? "The rift pulled us in, we are in the wrong time."

"At least we are still at Belgrave. Just have to go back through the rift on this side and close this thing down before anyone else gets pulled through."

"Don't forget, we can't let anyone see us either and we can't interact with any of these people or we could damage the timeline back home."

"Thanks, I've watched Star Trek." Hamish responded being a bit salty. He didn't like Alejandro and the cat didn't like him. He wasn't so much bothered by the fact that he had a thing for Vera but he was bothered by the fact that Alejandro didn't think he was good enough for Vera. "We need to get out of here and change our appearance, we stick out like a so…." Hamish stopped for a moment looking into the distance and seeing a familiar face. She was clutching her books to her chest as she walked through the crowd with the elegance and grace he was so familiar with. Dark hair hung over one shoulder while she smiled at another woman talking to her about something.

He shouldn't have been surprised, he could smell her coming a mile away and right now he was just trying to avoid calling out her name because that was exactly what to avoid in this situation. Alejandro had clearly been trying to get his attention as he looked at the person Hamish was so transfixed on."Oh, that is just perfect. The last thing we need is for her to see us. She will know we messed up before we even know." Alejandro grabbed Hamish and turned him around so his back was facing Vera as she walked past them.

"She's a student." Hamish spoke up watching her walk away from them. He thought he was in the clear until Vera glanced back making Hamish turn around quickly.

"We need to do a glamour spell."

"We can't go into the temple."

"We don't need to." He smirked at Hamish and grabbed his arm. "The tunnels."

"What about the hoods?"

"Not necessary, I can make due." He grabbed Hamish and drug him off before he decided to blow their cover. They tried to lay low making their way to the underground tunnels. He conjured up a few candles before taking off his shirt and ripping it apart. Cutting his hand he used his blood going back to slice into himself again so he could draw the symbols.

"Well that is very interesting."

"In Brazil sometimes we have to make do with what we have at our disposal. We are a bit more resourceful that you pampered prissy Belgrave chapter practitioners."

"This spell only lasts a few hours though."

"No, I made a modification. It will last until I say so."

"I'm so comforted by that statement."

"Don't worry, both of us would revert back together." Putting the torn up shirt over Hamish's head he tied it closed and picked up the candle. After they had successfully changed their appearance Hamish went to go look at himself in one of the pools of water that had stagnated within the old old old forgotten temple.

"What the hell?" Wait had his voice changed too? Did he have a Brazillian accent? One would have thought that at least it would have made him slightly appealing but no, the fact that his voice was high and shrill like a kid who hadn't hit puberty was a problem. Even more so were the messy black curls on his head and his insane amount of freckles and braces on his teeth. He had a scrawny build and was a sad reflection of a freshman year student.

"Here, take these clothes." Alejandro threw him some more appropriate attire since Hamish had shrunk out of his own clothes. Meanwhile Alejandro was looking like a Brazillian tycoon. All the dashing and charm of a romance novel cover guy.

"Sure, you get to look like that and you make me look like this."

"Consider it reducing temptation. Vera would never notice you looking like that." He started to put on his own clothes changing his outfit so he looked more correct to the time. "We need to get back to the university."

"Shouldn't we go to the field? That's where the rift is."

"That is where it is on our side, over here it's in the university. After all that is where the rift dropped us."

"That's just perfect." Hamish snapped at him. "And here I thought this was going to be a quick and easy task. Home by dinner, with Vera and my daughter. Sit down, sip on a glass of wine and curl up for a movie."

"Good for you Hamish, I'll try to make this quick so you can go have your relaxing family night meanwhile the rest of us have actual work to do."

Hamish mimicked him which worked so much better being in this damn little tykes body.
