A.N.: Thanks to Beebeeborez for the PM about Ch. 3! Good news is I still don't have a life and got it fixed pretty quickly. Bad news is now you guys have to read the crap that comes out of my brain. A ha ha.

Disclaimer: I'm pretty sure at this point Ryan Murphy owes me money. Ya know, for pain and suffering? I feel like I've made that joke before..

Blaine and Santana were grateful for the quick subway ride. It had reached the time of year in New York where underground transportation was muggy (pun intended) and being in close contact with strangers who may or may not shower as often as they should was not fun. Nevertheless, the pair climbed the stairs towards busy city streets, effortlessly looking every bit like the models Kurt dressed for Fashion Week.

Santana was still getting used to dressing in high fashion on a regular basis, but her slicked back companion seemed to be comfortable with his pair of designer shades that no doubt matched the designer outfit he was wearing.

Pros of marrying Kurt Hummel, I guess, the ex Broadway starlet mused to herself.

"Okay, that subway ride was rank. Next time I'll walk the 15 blocks." Blaine rolled his eyes and laughed.

"Like I said, way more dramatic than me. It was pretty bad though." Santana gave the man a playful shove and looked at her watch to note the time.

"Is Kurt already here? It's almost 12:30." Pushing the door open to the local coffee place, Caffiend, the younger man scanned the small shop for his husband finding him nursing a cup of coffee at a table with his back towards them.

"He's over there in the back; I'd recognize that hair anywhere." With that Blaine started towards the table with Santana right behind him.

"Hiya, handsome." Blaine greeted his husband making him turn around and then stand to greet them both with a kiss. Blaine received a soft one on his lips and Santana a passing one on her cheek. Just as they settled down at the table a young woman wearing a black smock came over with a tray of cups for them.

"I took the liberty of ordering everyone's coffee since I got here a little early."

"Thanks Kurt, I could really use the caffeine."

"Santana you just woke up from a nap" Blaine was quick to remind her. Kurt's head snapped up to look at the ex cheerleader sitting across from him.

"A nap? I thought you guys were gonna be having an all day rehearsal since a few understudies were gonna be taking the stage next week?" Santana at least had the decency to look sheepish.

"That's kind of what I wanted to talk to you guys about."

"Spill, Satan."

"I quit the show this morning." Both men sat looking at her in silence, both unsure of what to say next. Blaine was first to break the silence.

"You can do that?" Santana sighed and laid her head in her hands.

"No, not really. I don't know. I'm gonna have to have a long conversation with my family's lawyer and my mom is gonna kill me, but I just couldn't do it anymore." Kurt reached across the table and grabbed her hand sympathetically.

"It's okay Santana. I get it."

"No offense Kurt, but you seem to be exactly where you want to be right now and loving it." Blaine decided to cut in upon seeing the slightly offended look on his husband's face.

"I think what Kurt is trying to say is that we're not upset at you for quitting your job." Kurt nodded his head in agreement.

"Santana when you first burst into the apartment declaring us roommates you didn't have a job, just everything you brought with you from Lima. Obviously money isn't going to be an issue between Blaine and I, and we're happy to help you while you figure out your calling in this big ass city." Looking back and forth between the smiling faces in front of her, Santana couldn't believe her luck. She didn't have a lot of friends these days but the ones she managed to keep were amazing. She was feeling lighter than she had in days.

"Thank you guys. I do have a little bit of money tucked away from the show so I won't be completely useless when it comes to bills."

"Santana, we already said don't worry about it. Don't make me be forceful." The trio laughed at Kurt's words.

"Okay, okay. You win. Seriously though, thank you guys." The couple smiled back at her warmly before going for a sip of their respective coffees. Santana's eyebrows couldn't help but to wrinkle in confusion when she spotted an extra cup of coffee out of the corner of her eye.

"Kurt did you order an extra coffee?" Apparently Blaine hadn't noticed this either.

"Oh, is someone joining us?" Kurt barely had time to blink before the sound of someone approaching their table made the hairs on the back of Santana's neck stand up.

Lavender.. and vanilla? Oh God, please no.

"Sorry I'm late, apparently there was a really bad cab accident so a lot of above ground traffic got redirected. Long time no see, guys!" Rachel stood to the right of Santana chuckling nervously as the boys stood up to give her a hug and welcome her to the table.

Santana almost melted at the sound of that voice, how was she going to feel in five seconds after seeing the face that's been living rent free in her mind for months?

"Rachel.."

"Hi, Santana." Rachel stood there with both hands holding her purse in front of her like a shield of sorts. Santana didn't have the brain capacity to figure out her next move. The tiny starlet looked just as beautiful as she had the day she broke the ex-cheerleader's heart. She was wearing a lot more makeup these days, but she was still just as beautiful. A part of Santana was upset that the diva could still affect her this way after all this time, another part was jealous.

Why does Rachel Berry have to be the one I lose my mind over?

Finally being able to connect her brain to her feet, Santana stood up and offered the shorter brunette a hug that was a lot less awkward than either of them expected it to be. It felt like doing an old dance and if you asked Santana, she would have told you that their bodies fit together seamlessly; almost as if they were used to holding each other.

Please don't ever leave again.

Little did she know that Rachel was having similar thoughts on her end.

How could I ever think of leaving this behind?

A.N.: I am a SUPER SAP. I wanted something cute and a little emotional for our girls. Up next, Rachel's side. Until next time..
