Abraham, Joey, Jes and Summer POV:

Joey walked with Jes and glanced at her. "You know Garza huh?" he asked.

"I knew him, a long time ago, for about a year, year and half," Jes said.

"He seemed to have remembered you pretty well," Joey stated.

Jes glanced at him then at Summer. "Yeah, well I leave quite an impression on people. Look, it as a long time ago,. I had sex with him, like I did with a lot of people, including your father Joey, including Merle."

"You called us family, you wouldn't have done that a year ago," Summer told her.

Jes shrugged. "It is what it is, it's no big deal."

Summer and Joey exchanged glances. "Big deal," both of them said.

Jes heard something as she turned and pointed her weapon, Joey and Summer doing the same.

"Just me," Abraham said. "Didn't know the three of you were out on a run."

"We went to explore something," Jes told him.

"Find anything?" Abraham asked.

"Nothing much," Jes answered as she glanced at Summer and Joey.

"You went out with Eugene," Summer pointed out.

"Yeah," Abraham answered.

"Where is he?" Summer asked.

"Probably making his way to Alexandria," Abraham answered.

"Probably?" Joey asked.

Summer looked at Abraham. "Why are you not with him? Why is he out there alone?" she asked.

"He said that he no longer needed my help and that he is a survivor, so I told him to find his own way home," Abraham answered.

"Did you forget that besides walkers, the Saviors are out there? Negan?" Summer asked. "Of all the idiotic things," Summer mumbled as she shook her head as she started to walk past Abraham.

"Where are you going?" Joey asked.

"To find Eugene," Summer said as she turned around and looked at Abraham. "Look, I know that his words may have hurt your ego by telling you that he doesn't need you anymore, but that doesn't mean you get to abandon him. He had a gun in his face but he stood up for Mika. He is volunteering to go on runs," she told him. "So maybe he can't take on walkers like you or I, and he did lie, but he is making up for it. You don't get to leave him out alone to face things out alone," she said. "So let's go and get him," Summer said.

Jes looked at him. "You heard her."

Abraham looked at them. "Hey he said he didn't need me anymore, so I just gave him what he wanted."

"You're an idiot, you know that?" Summer questioned.

"Excuse me?" Abraham shot back.

"Eugene is like a little kid looking for approval, and he's looking at it from you. He knows that lying was wrong, and he wants to make up for it," Summer said.

"He still needs you," Joey told him.

"Plus do you really want to go back to Alexandria and explain to Jewel how you left a member of the family on his own?" Jes questioned.

"Not only that, but that her oldest child went to get him, without you?" Summer asked. "I don't think that would make her very happy."

"Damn it!" Abraham exclaimed. "Fine, lets go."

Joey laughed as she patted his shoulder. "Fear of Jewel always works."

"Which way?" Summer questioned.

Jes held up her hand and motioned for them to take cover as she heard noises.

Daryl, Jewel, Beth and Rosita's POV:

Denise stopped at one of the cars and looked in the window. "There's a cooler in there, might be something we can use inside," Denise told them.

"W got what we came for," Rosita said.

"Naw aint worth the trouble, come on," Daryl said.

"I want us to make it back before dark," Jewel said. "We don't want to be out here in the dark with the saviors and the walkers," she told her as she walked with them.

Denise looked in the window of the car at the walker, and walked around the car and opened the door to grab the cooler, the the walker fell on top of her.

"Denise!" Beth called out after her.

Jewel, Rosita and Daryl ran back raising weapons.

"No don't," Denise called out at them as she struggled to kill the walker, but succeeded in doing it. She stood up and threw up. "Aw man, I threw up on my glasses," she said as she picked up the glasses and put it in her bent down and opened the cooler, taking out sodas and picking up an orange soda. "Hot damn," she said as she stood up.

Jewel looked at it then at Denise. "I really don't know what to say," she mumbled.

"What the hell was that? You could have died right there, you know that?" Daryl chastised him.

"Yeah, I do," Denise said.

"You hearing me?" Daryl asked.

"Who gives a shit? You could have died killing those saviors, Rosita, Daryl and Beth. Jewel could have died anytime on the road when she was pregnant, but none of you didn't. You want to live, you take chances, that's how it works. That's what I did," Denise said.

"I hate when people listen and throw it back at us," Jewel told them.

"For a couple of damn sodas?" Daryl asked.

"Nope, just this one," she said as she held up the orange soda.

"Are you seriously that stupid?" Rosita questioned.

"Rosita," Beth warned.

"Are you? I mean it, are you?" Denise asked.

"Come on, we don't have to do this, not here, not now," Jewel said.

"I want to hear what she has to say," Rosita said.

"Do you have any clue what that was to me? What this whole thing is to me? Beth is the only one who can probably understand. See I have training in this shit, I'm not making it up as I go along like with stitches or the surgeries. I asked you to come with me because you're brave like my brother and sometimes you actually make me feel safe. And I wanted you here because you're alone, probably for the first time in your life and because you're stronger than you think you are which gives me hope that maybe I can be too. Beth came because she understands what it's like not to know anything, and have to learn how to survive and she knows how it feels to be under estimated. Jewel always wants to take care of everyone, even if it means that she spreads herself to thin. I could've gone with Tara, I could've told her I loved her but I didn't because I was afraid. That's what stupid. No coming out here, not facing my shit and it makes me sick that you guys aren't even trying because you're strong and you're smart and you're really good people and if you don't wake," she said as an arrow went through her eye. Daryl and Jewel both moved toward her to try to catch her. "up and face...Your..." she said as she fell down.

Daryl, Rosita, Jewel and Beth put up there weapons as saviors came around them.

"Drop them now!" Dwight ordered making Eugene drop to his knees. "Well hell, you got something to say to me?" he asked Daryl. You gonna clear the air? Step up on that high horse? You don't talk much," he said as he tilted his head motioning to others to take there weapons. "Still getting the hang of her. Kicks like a bitch, but," he said.

"I should have done it," Daryl said.

Jewel glanced over at him. "Daryl," she warned.

"What's that? Seriously I didn't catch what you said," Dwight said.

"I should have killed you," Daryl said.

"Yeah, you probably should have,"Dwight said.

"Eugene, are you OK?" Jewel asked.

Eugene looked at her the glanced up at Dwight then at her. "Yeah, could be better but I'm Ok..."

"Look, let me take his place, you don't need him," Jewel told Dwight.

Dwight looked at her. "Well that's awful nice of you to offer, but Eugene here is fine," he said as he looked at Daryl. "So here we are, kind of begs the question right?Who brought this on who? I mean I get that you'll just have to take my word for this but she wasn't even the one I was aiming for. Like I said, kicks like a bitch. It's nothing personal. Look this isn't how we like to start new business arrangements," Dwight said. "But you pricks kind of set the tone, didn't you?"
