Chapter 51: The Junk World
Mephistomon stood and took in the world around him. This was wrong. Very wrong. But he couldn't place what. It looked like the Digital World. Or at least, some post apocalyptic version of it. On the surface, it appeared like a world that had been destroyed in the war - with traces of other worldly air about it. Yet this was the Digital World.
And the Digital World hadn't been destroyed in the war and not for lack of trying. So what was it? Mephistomon gave it serious consideration but couldn't think of an explanation.
Then he saw a boy in a blue hoodie standing beside a red dinosaur. And they were just staring. This boy...this human looking entity. Seemed wrong. And he couldn't place it. The two of them ran towards the other humans and the wayward digimon he'd been fighting a moment ago in the human world. They seemed to know each other as well from the way they were talking.
But that was unimportant. What was important was what that human did. How was it able to open a gate to whatever this world was? Humans shouldn't have access to that technology. At least, not as he last recalled. Who knows what happened while he was sealed away in that accursed prison. But it was no matter. He could just escape back to his world and to freedom. It was just a matter of opening a gate and leaving. Preferably before they noticed what he was trying to do.
"Guys? What are you doing here?" Tamerkato asked quietly, stopping just short of their group.
"And please tell me you have food. I'm so hungry," Guilmon whimpered, running up to them and sniffing around at their pockets as he prodded his snout where it didn't quite belong.
"You're alright!" Juri gasped, her relief masked by the surprise in the tone of her voice. Everyone there noticed the two had locked eyes for a moment but neither was able to say anything more.
Rika broke the silence to address him, just as relieved but still annoyed, "What are we doing here? What are you doing here!? And where is here?"
"If someone will pull me up, I can explain," her dad pointed, dragging himself along the ground on his one leg. Both Tentomon and her mom went to help her dad, resting him against a rock so that he could sit himself up. After taking a moment to adjust himself, he began to explain, "We're inside Yggdrasil. The computer the Monster Makers used to create the Artificial Digital World. At least, what's left of it that wasn't destroyed by Tamer's plan."
"I thought this place looked weird," Kazu folded his arms behind his head, taking in the environment around them - a desolate space made up floating rocks and disjointed space, "So this is what's left, huh? What happened to the rest of it?"
Tamerkato answered that question, "The artificial and natural Digital Worlds spent so much time fused together that they practically became the same world. So when they were ripped apart, what we actually did was fragment the world and remove the parts that didn't belong in the natural Digital World. Which means this-"
He stopped to gesture around him, "-is what's left."
"And the D-Reaper?" Juri asked, "It was in your head. How do we know…you're not the D-Reaper right now?"
That was a hard point to argue. The D-Reaper was still technically inside Tamer's head. And they had no way of knowing who was in control right now.
"Would you believe we've called a truce over that?" he thumbed over his shoulder at Mephistomon. That was hardly reassuring. If Mephistomon had been contained by the D-Reaper for so long, then for all they knew the D-Reaper was still in control and trying to throw them like fodder at Mephistomon in the hopes that both sides would weaken each other.
"Oh, and one other thing! Neither of us has a plan on how to stop Mephistomon because my plan was to throw the D-Reaper at him and his buddies. I didn't actually think it would ever get to this point," Tamer added, not helping his case at all.
"It's amazing how a few words can destroy any confidence you have," Ryo sighed, "Okay, so if you don't have a plan, then what exactly do you want plan on doing? Because we've been hitting this guy with everything we have and nothing's working! About the only thing we haven't tried are ultimate levels and bio-merging!"
Tamer snapped his finger and gestured around them, "Well what're you waiting for? We're in what's left of the artificial Digital World."
A pause of silence followed as Rika, Ryo, and Henry came to same realization. Duh, they were in the Digital World. They could biomerge here. And if they could biomerge, then Mephistomon was about to have no clue what was going to hit him.
Henry shrugged, "Couldn't hurt to try."
"And if it does?" Rika asked.
"Moumantai," Henry and Terriermon said together in unison. The three humans prepared their digivices and the red cards, swiping the cards through while crying out in unison, "DIGIMODIFY! BIOMERGE ACTIVATE!"
Three lights flashed from their digivices, and three humans fused with their digimon partners to become.
"MEGAGARGOMON!"
"SAKUYAMON!"
"JUSTIMON!"
The three megas leapt towards Mephistomon who was standing with his arms stretched in front of him. From there, the fight quickly turned into a thunderous cacophony that began ripping apart what remained of the Digital World. Justimon got to Mephistomon first, their fists meeting each other to create a shockwave that reduced the floating chunks of rock around them to dust.
"Okay, that was a bad idea," Tamer blurted out.
"It is? Why?" Kazu asked sheepishly, raising an eyebrow at Tamerkato who began pushing him towards Guardromon.
Tamer answered, "If you have a partner who can fly, get on them quick. They're going to rip apart what's left of the Digital World in about a minute!"
"So? What's the big deal? It's not like there's anything left," Kazu countered.
Tamerkato groaned, "Because I don't like the idea of falling for eternity! Now get on Guardromon while I…oh…right…where are my cards!?"
"Oooh! OH! Crap!" Kazu cursed as it finally clicked in his head what the problem was. Rika's dad's partner had already scooped up Juri, his wife, her partner, and himself in his many hands. Calumon held on for dear life to Juri while complaining, "I don't like this! I really don't like this place!"
"None of us do," Juri assured the crying digimon. Kenta latched onto Guardromon other side while Kazu shuffled through his deck for what he needed, "Got it! Digimodify! MetalGarurumon's Wings Activate!"
"DigiModify! Angemon's Wings Activate!" Tamerkato cried out as he climbed onto Guilmon. All three digimon lifted off the ground just as the four megas met again. This time, their blow obliterated the solid ground their way standing on - turning it to dust and revealing a formless void below.
Rika's dad gawked at the sight of it, "Wait a second! How were we standing on that rock if there's nothing down there? There wouldn't be any gravity! Shouldn't all these rocks be falling through the void?"
Tamerkato's gestured around them, "This is a void space between worlds and realities. Rules of reality don't really apply here, Rika's dad! In fact…I think this is the same void where you guys defeated Myotismon."
"Myotismon is dead?" Mephistomon roared in the distance, in the middle of his fight with the others.
"Okay, come on! How did he hear that? He's fighting three megas and he should be distracted!" Kazu complained at the absurdity of it all.
"I'd be more afraid of what he's going to do now that he knows," Tamerkato remarked.
"Enough games!" Mephistomon roared, grabbing a hold of Justimon as he came for another attack and punching him so hard that the mega went limp. He used Justimon's body like a bat and swung him at Sakuyamon, sending her flying away towards MegaGargomon. MegaGargomon caught her in his arms but the impact still sent him ricocheting away. Then Mephistomon shot daggers at Izzy and Mimi, "YOU DIE NEXT! MYOTISMON WAS OUR GREATEST HOPE!"
Before anyone could even question what that meant, the digimon charged straight towards Kabuterimon while roaring at the top of his lungs.
Kabuterimon turned on the spot to fly away, "Oh, that's not good. Izzy! Mimi! Now would be a good time to digivolve!"
"Y-yeah," Izzy stammered out, "Tamer! Whatever you've got planned, act on it already!"
He and his wife produced their digivices, preparing to digivolve their partners. Just as their digivices rang to life with light, Mephistomon threw Justimon with all his might. The mega spiraled through the air and struck Kabuterimon so hard in the head that the shell cracked slightly. Everyone screamed as the flying bug tried to correct himself in the air but it was too late by then. Mephistomon was on him, hand holding firmly on to his skull as he crashed the bug through every bit of floating rock he could.
With a great roar, he shouted, "I've watched enough people suffer because of the Digimon Tamer. Stay out of my way!"
"Whoa, he's really got it out for them, huh?" Kazu called out in surprise.
Tamerkato clicked his tongue, "We have to help! Let's go Guilmon!"
"Okay!" Guilmon turned in the air and took off. As he did, Tamerkato swiped a card through his digivice and cried, "Digimodify! Speed Boost Activate!"
Guardromon followed just behind, the engines on his back screaming as he accelerated through the void towards the Ultimate.
"Pyrosphere!"
"Grenade Destroyer!"
The two attacks rocketed towards the ultimate, hitting in the back but having no lasting effect. Mephistomon just turned to look back at them and scowled, "I'll deal with you in due time. First, these murderers have to die for Myotismon. And they will know true…"
Mephistomon paused when he caught sight of the little white digimon in the arms of a human girl in one of Kabuterimon's arms. Strange and powerful energy radiated from the small creature. Then he noted the symbol on its forehead. It took him a second to remember the Ancient marking, but he was elated once he did, "By Daemon, is that the Catalyst?"
The little digimon cowered in the girl's arms at the sound of that name. It was all the confirmation that Mephistomon needed, "Haha! I have it! I actually have it! The catalyst. Revenge can wait. Power! Unlimited power. If I present you to my lord…yes!"
No, there was no room for mistakes at this juncture. He pried the girl out of Kabuterimon's hand as she screamed and yelped. Then he threw Kabuterimon aside, unfeeling towards their screams. But the girl's cries quickly became annoying. Over it, he could vaguely make out the cries of terror coming from the others. The Digimon Tamer stood out above the rest since it was odd to hear him expressing any kind of concern. But the girl's flailing was becoming annoying and he growled, "Stop writhing you insufferable child or I will drop you into the abyss."
That seemed to stop her screams but did nothing to stop the Catalyst from crying and wailing into her chest. It was scared. There were so many questions from that alone: how did the catalyst gain sentience? Who gifted it to the little creature? He allowed himself a moment to be distracted - if only because now he was certain that none of the others presented any real threat to him. Not after their pathetic attempts to actually harm him. Even now, he could barely feel the attacks of the red dinosaur or the half broken robot striking his back. What he could feel was anticipation and excitement. Now it was just a matter of opening a gate out of here to-
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Another flash of light appeared just above them, through which he could see more humans and digimon flying out of. As they plummeted through the depths, he heard digivices whistling and the cries of digivolution.
"Veemon! Digivolve to! ExVeemon!"
"Wormmon! Digivolve to! Paildramon!"
"ExVeemon! Stingmon! DNA Digivolve to! Paildramon!"
"Paildramon! Digivolve to! Imperialdramon!"
The screaming stopped as the humans and smaller digimon landed upon the flying dragon's back. Because of course they did. They couldn't just keep falling into the abyss and save him the trouble of having to deal with them. He could already hear them squabbling among themselves. And from the voices, he guessed they were the humans he had the pleasure of dealing with in the Digital World.
"Watch it, Davis!"
"You watch it, Ken! Oh, wait. Sorry Kari. Please don't tell my wife."
"I'm not telling anyone, Davis. This didn't happen."
"You guys are heavy! Get off!"
"That was fun! Do it again!"
"Please don't."
As they continued bickering, a thought came to Mephistomon's mind. This definitely wasn't supposed to happen. Mephistomon could only stare in disbelief at the new arrivals. This wasn't at all what he'd expected when it came to preparing for his master's return. Or for the time when he would die. Which meant…this wasn't the place where he was going to die. Because there were only supposed to be three when the time came for his death. Now there were at least…eight?
But what else should he have to come to expect when it came to the Digimon Tamer? That fool of an Ancient had probably planned all of this and neglected to tell anyone. Once again, positioning everyone where he needed them to be to make sure destiny played out the way it intended.
But that wouldn't be Mephistomon's fate. He hadn't stopped thinking about it since the day he foresaw his demise. There were too many humans here. Too many digimon. He would survive this encounter. But that was no reason to become arrogant - he couldn't afford any mistakes.
"Hey! Isn't that the goat guy who escaped the Digital World?" one of them asked.
"Look at that. What're the odds?"
"If you ask me, the odds are that Tamer knew all of this in advance and set it up so the gate would open here."
"Would you believe that this is all a really weird coincidence and even I'm not sure what's about to happen?" the Tamer cried from atop his flying red dinosaur, "But since you guys are here, would you mind lending us a hand? Because Mephistomon has the others in his hands and we need to get him free as soon as possible."
"Well, looks like it's our time time to shine."
Mephistomon just closed his eyes in preparation of what may very well be the most annoying and frustrating time of his life. Still, since he had the catalyst in his hands…he looked down at the pathetic creature and declared, "Catalyst. Give me your power."
The creature just whimpered so he growled, "Give it to me. Or I'll crush you both in my hands!"
"I…I don't know how!" the little creature whimpered, "I've never known how! It…it just happens."
Mephistomon was not expecting that answer from the little digimon. Or for the answer to make as much sense as it did. Then again, what was he supposed to expect? The Catalyst had unlimited power at his fingertips but that didn't mean it would know how to access or use it. But Mephistomon knew who would. And he turned towards the Digimon Tamer, making sure that the girl in his arms was clear in view, "Digimon Tamer…show me how to use the Catalyst."
He noticed the Digimon Tamer's brow twitching and realized he had struck a nerve with the boy. He cackled, "What's the matter, child? Have I upset you? Did you not foresee this? Or maybe you did? You can save her life…their lives, if you tell me how to draw power from the Catalyst."
He noticed Guardromon moving in to attack from the corner of his eye and roared, "BACK AWAY! OR I'LL CRUSH HER!"
He turned towards the advancing Kabuterimon and the gathering biomerged megas, "That goes for all of you as well. Back away! Or they die! DIGIMON TAMER! HOW DO I USE THE CATALYST!?"
Deep inside the Digimon Tamer's mind, the D-Reaper continued to analyze its surroundings for any kind of advantage. And with the raw processing power at its disposal from the Digimon Tamer's brain, it could perform millions of calculations every millisecond. Power output, angles of attack, playing out multiple different strategies all at once. Then came the Digimon Tamer's thoughts, "Please tell me you have a plan."
"I thought you were the one with a plan," the D-Reaper answered, still running the calculations. Any kind of physical attack had little to no probability of success. Any kind of indirect or subterfuge attack was just as likely to fail. Diplomatic approaches had zero probability of success because it wanted the power of the Catalyst. Appeasing it directly would just get everyone killed.
"Parameters must be adjusted to allow for casualties. Chances of victory improve significantly," the D-Reaper suggested.
"NO! No one dies. Not again," the Digimon Tamer protested, "Keep trying."
The D-Reaper wanted to consider taking control of the Tamer's body now. Without him to protest, it could carry on with a plan guaranteed for success.
"I can hear your thoughts," the Digimon Tamer thought back, "It's my head you're in. No one dies. No one gets hurt. Keep trying."
"There are no actions with a chance of victory if we do not allow for casualties," the D-Reaper insisted, still considering every possible option.
"Because you're trying to approach this rationally. If that worked for you, it would've worked a long time ago. It doesn't. So try something else. Be irrational!" the Digimon Tamer pointed out to it.
The Digimon Tamer could only reel at his argument. Try being irrational? Like what? Giving it the power of the Catalyst?
"That's not a bad idea. Begin running calculations," the Digimon Tamer said.
"THAT WAS NOT MEANT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY!" The D-Reaper protested angrily but it could already see the thoughts running through his head.
"Fine! You win! I'll give you the power of the Catalyst," the Digimon Tamer said, patting his partner's head, "Let's get closer Guilmon!"
"Wait, seriously?" Mephistomon blinked disbelievingly, "I don't trust this. You would never just give up the power of the Catalyst so easily! What are you playing at?"
That was a good question as far as Juri was concerned. What was he playing at? There was no way a digimon like Mephistomon could just get the power of digivolution inside Calumon! Unless that was his plan? But then why? What was he after? What did he get…unless he was trying to save her!
No! Of course. That had to be it. She'd let herself be a passive victim and become a play thing of fate after everything that had happened. And she hated that. Why did this stuff always happen to her? Was this just her destiny? No. Not this time. She was going to do everything she could to protect Calumon. Little Calumon who could only cower in her arms and bury his face into her chest fearfully, "Juri…he's not going to just-"
"Don't worry. I won't let him," Juri assured the little digimon, adjusting her hold of him to protect the little digimon from any harm that might befall him. And as Tamerkato got closer, she already knew what she needed to do. Even if it meant her harm. But that was better than just being another damn bargaining chip. She was not a toy to be threatened or tossed around dammit.
"GOGGLE HEAD! ARE YOU SERIOUSLY KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?" she heard Sakuyamon cry out in protest.
"Dammit, I knew this was just going to be a problem for us," Justimon added.
Mephistomon let Tamerkato get close enough to actually reach his hand out to touch Calumon. Then quickly, he grabbed Guilmon's tail with his other hand. The demon warned, "Don't try anything funny Tamer or I will blow you and your digimon apart."
"Believe me, I know you will," Tamerkato remarked, looking over at Juri apologetically. She wasn't sure what he had to apologize for but she knew she didn't care either way. She wasn't going to let Mephistomon get his hands on the digivolution power of the Catalyst. And she definitely didn't care what happened to her because of it. If she was going to die here, then it was better than to keep being someone who needed rescuing or protecting.
Tamerkato didn't seem to be able to tell what she was thinking, because she threw Calumon into his arms and pushed him away. The little digimon yelped as the Digimon Tamer fumbled Calumon in his hands, throwing him off balance. But her push was just enough to knock him off Guilmon. Calumon screamed as they began plummeting, "Ah! JURI!"
"I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS!" Tamerkato added.
Mephistomon let go of both Juri and Guilmon, "NO! THE CATALYST!"
Together: Tamerkato, Calumon, and Juri began plummeting downwards. Mephistomon, Guilmon, and all the other flying digimon dove down towards them. Juri turned her head towards Tamerkato who cried, "Juri! Why did you do that!"
"You wanted me to just let you give Calumon to that digimon!?" she protested.
"I didn't want you to put yourself in danger!" he answered, "If it got you free, I was ready to do anything."
"Exactly! I'm tired of being the one everyone needs to save! I wasn't just going to let you endanger everyone to save me!" Juri pointed out angrily, "Especially not yourself. After all the danger you put yourself in for my sake."
"Juri! I…" Tamerkato paused as they fell, "I didn't want you to feel that way. I wanted you…I just wanted you to have a good life."
"Well that's not going to be a problem for either of us if we both fall to our deaths anyway," she said, pointing upwards at Mephistomon as he chased after them, "Because either he gets to Calumon and we're all dead. Or he doesn't and we keep falling."
"Alternative: our friends get to us first and we're saved!" Tamerkato added cheerfully. She didn't care for the fact that he always seemed so positive and upbeat when it came to this kind of stuff. At the same time, he was right. Things could work out for them. Or…
"We could save ourselves," Juri added with a big cheeky smile. And she saw the smile he offered back. Reassuring but also cheeky and mischievous.
"That's not a bad idea," he offered a hand to her, reaching out as they fell through the void. Juri outstretched her hand to grab hold. Was he reaching out to save her…or was she reaching out for him? But once their hands touched, she felt something grab on to her. Calumon had grabbed a hold of the collar of her shirt and his ears had expanded to try and fly back up. Even he was trying to do something. She grabbed a hold of him with her other hand, "Any ideas?"
"One…not sure what'll happen," Tamerkato looked back up as they fell. At Guilmon. Mephistomon was just ahead of him and closing. The mega would get to them before they could do anything about it. But then Imperialdramon appeared in front of him and fired a beam of light form his back, "POSITRON LASER!"
Mephistomon broke off from the chase, allowing Guilmon to keep up the pursuit and get closer. She looked back at Tamerkato and saw the look on his face. She wanted to
He wasn't going to…was he? He traced his other hand over the symbol of Calumon's forehead. Calumon closed his eyes and there was a light.
Sakuyamon and Justimon paused in the air as a bright light erupted from Calumon's forehead and enveloped Guilmon. But it quickly became blinding and Guilmon's voice echoed out in the void.
"GUILMON! BIOMERGE TO!"
The light cleared, and all that remained was a knight in white armor trimmed in gold and wearing a crimson cape. In one hand was his a shield emblazoned with Guilmon's hazard symbol. In the other was a golden lance. And riding on its shoulders were Juri and Calumon.
"DUKEMON!"
"Great. Now he can biomerge to!" Justimon complained.
"What's wrong with that? To be honest, we could use the extra fire power," MegaGargomon countered.
"That's so cool! He's become a knight in shining armor!" Xiaochun cheered.
"Didn't think him for the type," Ken added.
"You guys do know who that is, though. Right? That's Dukemon! Another of the Royal Knights!" Kabuterimon pointed out.
"A royal knight. Just like in
"NO! THAT POWER WAS TO BE MINE!" Mephistomon roared, bringing his hands together and spewing a black miasma from his mouth, "DARK CLOUD!"
The miasma spread out from his mouth, breaching the surrounding rock formations and eroding them away to dust. Everyone close enough to see the cloud retreated away to safety. It was mind boggling. What good did it do to keep them away when they all had ranged attacks? At least, that's how it looked until the miasma started moving. It closed the gap between itself and Dukemon, who raised the shield to defend itself. Mephistomon's fist broke through the miasma to strike his shield and it cracked under the force of the attack.
And the corrosive miasma began to erode away any part that hadn't cracked yet. Juri cried out in terror of what she was seeing, "Tamer!"
"Hang on," Dukemon replied, adjusting his shield. He raised up his shield again to prepare himself just as Mephistomon came in for another strike. At the last second, he tipped his shield up so that the edge of it struck Mephistomon in the throat. The ultimate level digimon recoiled back, one hand wrapped around his throat while the other was still boiled into a fist, "You…you…ack…"
"You can't spit out gas if you're choking," Dukemon answered. He raised up his shield and used what was left of it bash Mephistomon across the face. Mephistomon spun in the air back towards Sakuyamon. She prepared her staff and used it to strike him away, "And off you go!"
He bounced away towards MegaGargomon, who grabbed a hold of him in his hand. Just as Mephistomon regained enough of his senses to start resisting MegaGargomon's hold, he heard another cry as Justimon charged in to grab a hold of Mephistomon's other arm, "Hi there! Remember me?"
"The false Tamer," Mephistomon hacked, "D…dark cl-"
He stopped to hack and gag, his throat barely able to summon up the deadly miasma. Which was just as well since the two megas flew forward together, dragging Mephistomon along and intentionally crashing him straight into any floating chunks of rock they could find. Afterwards, they stopped and threw him forward.
But this was nothing. Mephistomon was no stranger to pain or to hardship. Not after spending an eternity in that hell. He just needed to change his plan and tactics. After all…what was…wait, was that Imperialdramon.
"POSITRON LASER!"
Yes it was. And Mephistomon got an excellent view of his attack face on as he was ripped apart by the blinding light of the attack. A point blank attack that any lesser digimon would've had no chance of surviving. But Mephistomon had grown tired from this. Taking that many hits had slowed him down. But he wasn't about to surrender.
Even with all the powers of a direct hit from Imperialdramon wasn't going to stop him. No. If he could just get to the Catalyst. If he could present it to his lord. He could end this. He turned towards Dukemon some distance away and roared, "You…haven't…won…"
He charged forward, betting everything on getting the catalyst. Dukemon readied what remained of his shield, adjusting it to protect himself, Juri, and the Catalyst. He just had to make this count.
The two foes collided. Mephistomon was sure he was quicker as he reached his hand out towards the catalyst on Dukemon's shoulder. But his hand wouldn't go any further, no matter how hard he tried. He looked down to see what impeded him and saw Dukemon's lance piercing him in the stomach. The ultimate cursed, knowing that this was the end and confused. This wasn't how it was supposed to happen. This wasn't how he was supposed to die. But this was a good thing.
His fate…had changed…he defeated destiny. He wasn't defeated by three digimon. He was defeated by more than that…in a world that looked nothing like what he foresaw. And he laughed. A horrible cacophonous laughter that unsettled them all.
"What's so funny?" Dukemon asked.
"I defied destiny. I have died. But not the way I was meant to," Mephistomon gasped, "Which means…destiny can be changed. Destiny can be…rewritten."
He could see Dukemon's eyes widen as realization set in. Now the Digimon Tamer was scared. Because if anything should've been certain to him…it was that destiny was unchangeable. But here it was. And now he took a chance to gloat his last words through wheezes, "You and I…both know this…isn't the end, Digimon Tamer. I was…simply a herald…a messenger. All I did…was…in his name. My lord…will return…and he will burn…the world you love so dearly. On that day…you and I…will see each other again…in hell!"
He felt his life slip away as he faded away to nothing.
Juri watched as Mephistomon turned to data in front of her. Data that Dukemon absorbed. But the evil digimon's words echoed in her mind. Destiny could be changed. And Tamer's reaction was fearful. She dreaded to think what could give the Digimon Tamer pause in such a way, "Tamer…what did that mean?"
He said nothing, simply staring at where Mephistomon had been just a moment before. And that said more than anything he could've with his own words. All he did say in the end was, "So…who has a digivice that can get us out of here?"
Author's Notes: Mephistomon has been defeated. But his final words contain an ominous warning for the Digimon Tamer and everyone else. What awaits them all next? What does this mean for destiny? Find out all this in the next chapter of The Tamer v2.0 - In His Name due out in three weeks on Friday, November 13th at 8 PM CST. Let me know what you guys think in the reviews section. And don't forget to follow and favorite to show support. That's all I have for now so let's look at the only words I will show for the next chapter:
"I shouldn't be saying this…any of this…but the truth is I'm going to die today. Not the way humans or digimon die. My body reformats. But the person who walks away isn't the person I am. They'll be a new face, a new personality. I've known this was coming for a long time…I dreaded…I hated it…but I'm not going to run from it."
