Chapter 483

Author's Note: It won't be long til the line up is here. I can't really put it off much longer. Just got to check up on everyone, and got to give Jewel and Rick some talking time in the car on the way back to Alexandria. And, let's not forget Jes, there's a reason she isn't interfering. I can't really have her in the line up, she'd get herself killed. Please review.

Carl and Lexi's POV:

Lexi grinned at Judy as she stood up by the couch. "Good girl. Are you going to let go and try to walk by yourself" she asked as Judith fell on her but. Lexi gave a and shook her head. "You silly girl. It's alright, we don't want you and Hope to grow up to soon," she told her. She looked over to Carl , who was standing by the window. "Carl come back from the window, it's not safe. We'll know If they get inside."

"I'm not watching for them. Mom and dad are still out there. Not to mention Summer, Joy, Jes, Daryl and the others," Carl said as he walked over to the couch.

"Do you think they'll bring Carol back?" Lexi asked as she played with Judy's hair.

"They will if she wants to come back," Carl told her.

"And if she doesn't? They can't leave her alone, not with the saviour's out there," Lexi said.

"They'll do the best, you know that. She's family," Carl said as he sat down on the floor. "Mika with Hope?"

"Yeah, she got Jenny down for a nap, stayed upstairs in case either one of them needed anything. They'll be back, you know, right?" Lexi asked Carl as she squeezed his hand.

"Yeah, I know that," Carl said.

"You know that, but do you believe that?" Lexi questioned.

Carl sighed. "It's dangerous out there, we need everyone here," he said.

"It's always dangerous out there," Lexi said as she moved closer too him. "And we always worry when people are out there, I worry when you are out there," she told him. "I thought it would be different you know?"

Carl looked at her. "What do you mean?"

"I thought we'd stop losing people when we got here, that we would be safe," Lexi told him.

"It's safer then it is out there," Carl told her as Judith curled up on Lexi's shoulder to fall asleep.

"At least out there, we knew when to expect it," Lexi said. "They'll be back, they have to be," she said. "I'm going to go put Jude down for her nap," she said as she kissed his cheek.

Jes POV:

Garza held up his fingers indicating at least ten to fifteen men. He motioned to Jes that they needed to go the other direction.

Jes shook her head as she pointed her gun, ready to take out the men that was surrounding Summer and Joey.

Garza went in front of her. "There's to many of them. We could take out six or seven of them, but we'd never get close to the leather wearing dick that's holding your friends. We'd only get us injured, captured or killed. And one of them, or both of them might wind up dead."

"No, I'm not going to just not do anything, I can't leave the two of them out there," Jes said.

"Look, I know that you care for them, I understand, but you aren't thinking straight. We back track, we go to Arlington, we avoid capture, we get help. That's the plan," Garza told her.

"That plan sucks," Jes told him.

"It only sucks because it is the right thing to do. It sucks because you care about these people. You always said that caring is a weakness," Garza reminded her.

"You always said that I was wrong and now you are using my words against me?" Jes questioned.

"I still don't believe that caring for people is wrong, and I'm glad that you found people that made you see that. But right now, those same people need you to think clearly because if you don't, they risk losing you too," Garza said.

"You go, I'll stay to keep an eye on them,"Jes told him.

"Yeah, that's not going to happen," Garza said. "As soon as I left, you'd rush in there. So we need to go," he told her.

"I'm not letting them out of my sight," Jes told him.

Garza took a breath. "You're going to hate me," he told her.

"What do you mean?" Jes questioned.

"I'm only doing this for your own good," Garza told her before hitting her. He grabbed her quickly and threw her over his shoulder. "Sorry, I'm doing this for your own good.

Beth, Rosita, Michonne, Glenn and Daryl's POV:

Rosita, Beth, Glenn and Michonne got out of the car and walked over to the train tracks. Rosita stared at the blood spot on the tracks as Beth took out a walker with a knife.

"This is where she died,"Rosita said.

"So he had to start from here," Glenn said as Michonne went over to move brush.

Michonne revealed Daryl's motorcycle. "He did," she said.

"Which way did Dwight run?" Glenn asked. "Rosita?" he asked as she stared at the tracks.

"Rosita?"Beth questioned.

"We should let him do this," Rosita told them.

"We can't risk him," Beth said.

"He doesn't know what he's doing, we don't," Glenn him trying this makes you feel better about it right now, maybe they keep knowing more about us then we know about them. Or maybe Daryl's gonna get himself killed. Which way did Dwight run?" he asked again.

Rosita looked at Beth then tilted her head as she led the direction.

"He's not thinking right, Rosita, Glenn's right. We are stronger with him then without him, we need to get him back home," Beth said.

"She shouldn't be dead," Rosita said.

"But she is, and there's nothing we can do about it. But we can keep any more of us dying," Michonne said.

Rosita stopped as an arrow landed in the tree right next to her. "Watch the hell out asshole," she said as she pulled out the arrow from the tree.

"Yeah, I did. You shouldn't have come," Daryl said.

"You shouldn't have left,"Michonne said.

"When I split up from Sasha and Abraham, he was out there in the woods in that burn out forest with those girls, put a gun to my head tied me up. Tied Jes up. I even tried to help him, even when Jes told me not too. Stole my bike, my bow and arrow," Daryl said.

"So you think it's your fault?" Glenn asked.

"Yeah I know it is. I'm going too do what I should have done before," Daryl said.

"Daryl, wait," Beth said.

"What for her? She's gone man. You're doing this for you," Glenn said.

"Yeah, I don't give a shit," Daryl said.

"Daryl, we need to get back there and figure this out from home, our home. We need you. And everyone back there needs us right now. It's going to go wrong out here," Glenn said.

"We'll square it, I will. I promise you, just come back," Michonne said.

"I can't," Daryl answered.

"Daryl," Glenn said.

"Daryl, what about Mar? Mitch? Jewel? Summer? The babies?" Beth asked. "They are back there, unprotected," Beth told him. "Just come back."

"I can't," Daryl said as he walked away.

"I can't either," Rosita said as she followed him.

Glenn turned and left. Beth and Michonne looked at each other and followed him.

"Thing is those men could be back in Alexandria right now," Glenn said.

"If they are, they're dead," Michonne said.

"I hope not, we need them alive, we need to find out more," Glenn said.

"Yea we do," Michonne said.

"I was there with Maggie when we made that deal, with Gregory. At the time it seemed like it was the right thing to do, but we didn't think it through," Beth said.

"We just go stuck with each other, we were lucky. We figured it all out together, it felt like we did. After everything we did. The worlds not what we though it was. Hill top,the savior's, it's bigger, Glenn said.

Glenn, Michonne and Beth looked at each other as men came out of the trees. Dwight came out. "Hi."

Glenn lowered his gun as they came out to tie them up.
