Chapter 486

Author's Note: OK so there's a whole lot of stuff going on in the beginning of Episode 16. Then add in all my people. But I'm not doing Simon beating up random dude, or Morgan finding the horse. I want Lexi out there, so Carl's not going to lock her in a closet. Please review.

Maggie, Lexi and Enid's POV:

Lexi came off guard shift and was walking toward the houses. She glance at Enid as they walked together. "You going toward the house?" Lexi asked.

"Scott told me that Maggie was looking for me, so I was going to head over to see what she needed," Enid explained.

"I was heading home to get something to eat, I can let you in," Lexi said as she got to the house. She opened the door as she and Enid came in. "Maggie?" she called out. "I ran into Enid."

Maggie smiled at them.

"Scott said you were looking for me. What's up?" Enid asked.

Maggie handed her scissors. "Need some more help. Now that you're home Lexi, you could do it instead."

Lexi shook her head. "No, you and I have very different hair types. I think I'll just watch while I get something to eat," she said as she went over to the fridge.

Enid nodded as Maggie sat down. "I'll do my best," he assured her as she cut her hair. "You sure you don't want to try?" she teased Lexi.

"Positive," Lexi answered.

Enid took a breath as she finished and put down the scissors. "What do you think?" she asked Lexi.

"It looks good," Lexi answered as she got up and got a hand held mirror and handed it to Maggie. "What do you think?"

"I like it, but why?" Enid asked.

"I like it too," Maggie said. "I have to keep going and I don't want anything getting in my way," she said as she took a deep breath.

"Did I get it to short? I only used to cut my dad's," Enid explained.

"No it's not that," Maggie said as she doubled over in pain.

"Maggie!" both Enid and Lexi called out.

"Stay here, I'm going to go get help," Lexi instructed as she ran out of the house. "Rick!" she called out as she ran to the house next door. "Rick!" she called again.

Jewel opened up the door and came out on the porch. "Lexi, what's wrong?"

"Maggie, she doubled over in pain at the house. Enid is with her," Lexi explained.

"Rick, Mar, meet me at Maggie's. Something's wrong," she instructed as she started to go with the Lexi. Jewel quickly opened the door to Maggie's house, going over to her. "Maggie, honey, can you tell me what's wrong?"

"The baby," Maggie cried as she doubled over in pain.

"Lexi, go get a pillow off the couch, Enid, get me a blanket," Jewel instructed as Rick and Mar came in. "Help me lay her back," she told Rick.

Rick and Mar both went to help as Enid and Lexi went to do there assigned tasks. "How long has the pain been happening?" Mar asked.

"On and off for a few hours. This is the worst," Maggie said as Lexi and Enid came back with the things that they were sent after.

"She needs to get to the Hill Top. They have the ultra sound machine," Mar said.

"We'll take the RV," Rick said.

"I'll go pull it up in front. You're going to have to carry her, she shouldn't be on her feet. Lexi, stay with her, Enid pack her a bag. Quickly," Jewel instructed. "Maggie, I know you're scared right now, but we're going to get you to the Hilltop," she said as she gave her a kiss on the top of her head.

Mar went out with her. "You going?" she asked Jewel.

"I'm going," Jewel answered.

"I'll stay here, watch over things," Mar said. "I'll go pack you a bag," she said as she went to the house.

"Mom, what's going on?" Carl asked.

"Something is wrong with Maggie and the baby. We are going to Hilltop. If you want to come, I need you to get some guns, get a bag, do it quickly," Jewel instructed as she went to the RV. She quickly backed it up and pulled it in front of the house. "Gus, I need some bottled water loaded onto the RV. Maggie is going to need to stay hydrated," she said as she got out of the RV.

"What else can we do?" Noel asked.

"Just help with keeping Alexandria safe," Jewel said as she opened the door to Maggie's house. "Rick, the RV is outside."

Rick picked Maggie up. "It's OK," he said.

Lexi picked up the blanket. "I'm going to Hilltop with you," she said as she walked out with them.

"You have to ask Sasha," Jewel told her as Rick passed her carrying Maggie to the RV.

"I'll go ask now," Lexi said.

Carl came up as Lexi went to ask Sasha. "She can't come," he told Jewel.

"That isn't your call, it's Sasha's," Jewel said as Enid came down the stairs.

"I didn't know what she needed, or might need, I just grabbed some clothing," Enid said.

Jewel nodded as she took the bag. "I'm sure it's fine, I need to go help get her settled into 't take to long getting ready Carl," Jewel warned as she followed Rick out to the RV.

"I'm coming," Enid told Carl.

"I don't want you or Lexi out there," Carl said as he walked to the armoury.

"Glenn's still not back, I need to be there Maggie," Enid said.

"I said no," Carl told her. "I told mom that I didn't want Lexi out there, she's my girlfriend, and you are my friend."

"Carl," Enid tried again.

"Look you were wrong before, this place isn't to big to protect. And you need to stay back and help protect it," Carl instructed.

"This place is ready. Most of us ave been trained, you know that. If you were worried about an attack, you wouldn't be leaving," Enid told him.

"You know how far Hilltop is? You know what could happen? Those savior's are out there. You know what they did to Denise. What they tried too do to Maggie, Carol and Mar, to Daryl, to Rosita to Eugene. What they tried to do Summer. I don't want that to happen to you or Lexi. I'm not going to let it."

"You want to run into them right? You hope they show up? Jesus this is about getting Maggie to a doctor, not about...," Enid said. "Do you think that Jewel wants to run into them? No, she wants to get Maggie help. Screw you, I'm going," Enid said as she went to go out the door.

"Enid, stop just wait," Carl said as he blocked her.

"Do you think you are going to stop Lexi from being out there?" Enid asked.

"If I could, yes," Carl told her.

"Get out of my way Carl," Enid told him.

"Just grab some pistols from the closet, but hurry, we got to go now," Carl said. He waited until Enid went into the closet, and shut and locked the door putting a chair in front of the door.

"Carl, come on," Enid said as she pounded on the door.

Carl sighed as left the room.

Lexi, Sasha, Abraham and Eugene's POV:

Lexi ran down the road, running into Abraham. "Sorry."

Abraham grabbed her arms so she wouldn't fall over. "Hey, hold up, where's the fire?"

Sasha and Eugene walked up to her. "Lexi, what's going on?" Sasha asked.

"Something's wrong with Maggie and the baby, they are going to take her to the Hilltop. Jewel told me that I had to ask if I could go," Lexi explained.

"Lexi, wouldn't it be better if you stayed here? Helped with patrolling?" Sasha asked.

"They are all trained, they know what they are doing. Carl is going, and someone needs to watch his back. And, I can sit with Maggie if something comes up. I want to be there, for her and the baby," Lexi explained.

Sasha looked at Eugene and Abraham and sighed. "Are you sure?"

"When we were at the prison, and the Governor attacked, we were all separated from Jewel before she had Hope. None of us were able to protect her, but for Maggie we can. We know there's danger out there, and she needs all the help that we can spare. Please Sash?" Lexi begged.

"We'll all go, that's the deal," Abraham told her. "You watch Maggie, we watch you," he told her.

Alexandria POV:

Jewel opened up a bottle of water before helping Maggie take a drink. "Do you need any more pillows?"

"I'm OK," Maggie said. "Thank you," she told Jewel.

"You don't have to thank us, you're family. I'm going to go see what's going on. I'll be right outside, call me if you need me, don't get up for anything," Jewel warned her as she went to the steps and took Rick's back. "I've got her laying down, but we need to get going."

Rick kissed her. "We are."

Sasha, Lexi, Abraham and Eugene walked up.

"Any change?" Sasha asked.

"She's getting worse," Rick said.

"Good call on the transport," Abraham said.

"Well I figured she'd be more comfortable," Rick said.

"Is she laying down?" Lexi asked.

"Yeah, you want to go sit with her I don't really want her to be alone to long," Jewel said.

"No problem," Lexi said as she went into the RV.

"It also means you got room for more. They're out there, so I'm going to be there with you, we are," Abraham said as he looked at Sasha.

"Package deal. Plus we've got Lexi's back," Sasha said as she went into the RV with Abraham.

"What she said," Eugene said.

Jewel stepped down and looked at Eugene. "Maybe you should think about staying behind," she told him.

"Jewel's right, look it's a long trip and you're just getting over..." Rick started.

"It's a superficial graze. Proteins are binding. Plus we need to discuss ammunition production and manufacture, so let's roll," Eugne said.

"I already tried, Give him an inch, he's taking a mile," Abraham said as he came out of the RV.

"Eugene looked at him. "I'm only asking for 12, give or take depending on the route. I know I can be of some help. Now's the time, here's the place. Don't shine me, I'll be you anchor man. Yes I damn will," he said.

Jewel nodded. "Come on in Eugene, you've proved your worth," she said as Carl came up. "Lexi is already in the RV. Sasha said she could go, so not a word, or I'll have you staying back. Got it?"

"I got it," Carl said as he came inside the RV.

Jewel sighed as she saw others approaching. "Hey not everyone can come, we need people to stay back and protect this place," she said as Rick worked on the RV.

"I'm not going," Phoebe said. "I'll help with protecting Alexandria."

"I'm going. We're ready to protect this place, and the savior's know it. That's why they grabbed Eugene," Aaron said.

Rick stood up. "Look it's not up for discussion," he told him.

"You're just going to have to punch me in the face and tie me up again, cause that's what it's going to take to stop me," Aaron responded.

"He's serious," Phoebe added.

Rick and Jewel looked at each other before nodded toward the RV. Rick shook his head as he went in.

Jewel looked at Gabriel as he walked over. "We have 24 hour shifts, set up on the watch towers. Eac on of them fully supplied and ready. In the case that we're incured upon, we have di=rivers assigned, evacuation and distraction and the rendezvous we discussed. In the event of any emergency, the first priorities are Judith and Hope. Mar has packed a bag for Jenny, she has had Mika and Mitch pack bags. I will not fail you, either one of you. Are you comfortable with leaving me in charge of Alexandria's defenses?"

Jewel laughs. "I'm pretty confident you can handle it. Rick?"

Rick laughed. "Yes," he answered as him and Jewel went to the RV.

"Spenser stepped up. "Hey Rick, if the saviors do show up, I don't know, I'm thinking, if it's not to late, should we try to make some kind of deal?"

"People like them, they don't make deals," Jewel said.

"Tell them to wait for me, I got a deal for them," Rick said as him and Jewel went into the RV. "Let's go," Rick said as the door closed.
