Chapter 487

Author's Note: I can't say I'm excited about finally getting to the lineup, I'm not, just the opposite really. The whole feel of the show shifted with Glenn and Abraham's deaths. Now part of me is excited for interactions with Jewel and Negan. I don't think that Negan is really used to woman who won't back down. Yeah make Rick scared. Yeah she is getting pissed. He threatened her kids, bad decision. Please review it means a lot.

RV Group.

Aaron got up from where e was sitting with Maggie and let Jewel and Rick come in. Jewel immediately opened a bottle of water and helped Maggie drink it as she looked nervously to Rick.

"Hey," Rick greeted Maggie.

"Hey," she greeted back as Jewel helped her lay down.

"We're going to get there. The doctor at the Hilltop, he's gonna make things better," Rick told her. Rick touched her. face. "Hey."

Jewel rubbed her back. "He's right, you and the baby are going to be fine."

"How do you know?" Maggie asked.

"Everything we've done, we've done together. We got here together and we're still here. Things have happened but it's always worked out for us because it's always been all of us. That's how I know, because as long as it's all of us, we can do anything," Rick told her.

Jewel nodded. "We shouldn't have found each other after the prison, we shouldn't have all made it out of Terminus, but we did. We did what should have been impossible and I don't think that many other groups out there could have done that. But we did, and Rick's right, together we can do anything. You rest, and let us worry about getting there. OK?"

"OK," Maggie said.

"What the bitch?" Abraham asked as he stopped the RV.

Rick and Jewel looked at each other before both of them got up. "Lexi, stay with Maggie," Jewel instructed.

Lexi nodded as she went into the room.

"What?" Rick questioned as he joined Sasha and Abraham.

"Enemy close," Abraham reported. "We doing this?"

"No," Rick answered as he grabbed his gun and started to go out. Jewel, Eugene Aaron and Carl followed him out.

"Stay by the RV," Jewel instructed. "If this goes wrong, want you to get in the RV, and fight, taking anyone out so Abraham can get the RV out of here. That's your job. Maggie needs to get to Hilltop, no matter what."

Carl nodded as he stood near the RV door and Jewel went up to stand next to Rick who was holding his hands up.

The one savior looked to the guy on the ground. "He's someone who was with a whole lot of someone's who didn't listen," the man explained.

"We can make a deal, right here, right now," Rick said.

"That's right we can, give us all your stuff. We'll probably have to kill one of you, that's just the way it is," Simon said. But then we can start moving forward on business. All you have to do is listen," the man said.

"Or we wind up like the man on the ground, right?" Jewel asked.

"Yeah, that's about the gist of it," the man answered.

Rick and Jewel exchanged glances. "Yeah that deal's not gonna work for us. The fact is, I was about to ask for all your stuff, only I'm thinking I don't have to kill any of you. Any more of you," Rick said.

"You lost more yesterday, didn't you? Cut your loses," Jewel warned him.

One of the other men rattled a spray can and sprayed something on the man laying on the ground. Rick and Jewel looked backwards at the others.

"Sorry our deal is the only deal. We don't negotiate," the man said.

Rick snapped his fingers. "Then me and my people are leaving," he said.

"Ok, friend, plenty of ways to get to where you are going," the man said.

"You're not our friend, not even close," Jewel said.

"Just a figure of speech, sweetheart," the man said.

"I'm not your sweetheart either," Jewel hissed.

Rick put his hand on her back and had her step on the steps of the RV before he stopped and looked at the savior's. "You want to make today your last day on Earth?"

Simon looked at him. "No but that is a good thing to bring up. Think about it, what if it's the last day on Earth for you? For someone you love that blond, your girlfriend? Wife maybe? What if it's that true? Maybe you should be extra nice to the people in the RV, cause you never know," he said as he snapped his fingers, " just like that. Be kind to each other, like you said, like it was your last day on Earth."

"You do the same," Rick told him as he went into the RV.

Jewel and Rick looked at each other than looked outside the window. Simon waved and kicked the guy on the ground.

"Let's go," Jewel said as she went to check on Maggie.

Carl looked out the window of the RV as it started to move seeing one walker. He looked at Aaron who was sitting with Maggie. "Why didn't you stay back to help guard the place?"

"I owe her. Why did you come?" Aaron asked.

"I owe them," Carl said.

Lexi looked at him. "This isn't about some kind of revenge, Carl," she said.

"I know that," Carl said as Lexi got up to go out of the room.

Lexi sat down beside Sasha who was looking at maps with Eugene.

"Logrun Road's a straight shot," Eugene said.

"We want visibility," Sasha said.

Eugene pointed at a spot on the map. "There, you got it on Sheldon. Golf course, country club, sloping terrain. No bum rush from the boogyman. We'd see them from a good piece. It is a longer trip by a third, but we'd get the scenic safety of clear cut dingles and glens," he explained.

"You're being serious right?" Sasha asked.

"As a corinory thrombosis," Eugene answered.

Lexi looked at Sasha then at him. "Well, then that's pretty serious," she said. "Do you think we'll run into them again?"

Sasha kissed the top of her head. "We'll handle it if we do," she assured her.

"You got a route?" Rick asked as he came out of the bedroom.

"Yeah," Sasha answered.

"Let's go," Abraham said.

"I'll go sit up with you," Sasha said.

Jewel sat down and looked at the map. "It's going to take longer to get to the Hilltop," she said as she looked up at Rick.

"We need visibility," Rick said as he sat down.

Jewel looked back at the bedroom. "She's getting worse," she said. "I'm getting that bad feeling again, about Summer being in trouble. Those dick heads blocked another road out of Alexandria. If Jes, Summer and Joey were headed back, they'd run right into them."

Rick reached over and squeezed her hand. "We are going to get through this, just like every other time, just like we told Maggie. You aren't doubting us now, are you?"

Jewel shook her head. "No, we can do this together," she said.
