Chapter 488

Author's Note: I had planned to show Alexandria and getting Enid out of the closet. I even started the chapter, but I left it for a couple days and other people are bugging me. So let's continue shall we? Please review.

Joey and Summer POV:

Joey and Summer both sat up when the vehicle stopped, looking at each other as the door to the van opening. Any thoughts of fighting were eliminated immediately when four men held guns on them.

"Come on out," one of the men said. "You first, blondie," he said.

Summer glanced at Joey as she went to get out of the van, she was grabbed by one of the other men."Your turn, think about fighting, blondie is going to get killed," the man warned.

Joey got out and was grabbed by another one of the men. "I'm Dwight, or D," the man introduced.

"We don't care," Summer said.

"Open it up," Dwight ordered me standing at another van. "Before you all think about trying shit, we've got a blond girl and a tall boy with a military type jacket, in a darker color. I think these two may be part of your group, so you try anything, these two are going to get it. Back up," he warned. He nodded at two men to open up the doors.

"Uncle Daryl!" Summer exclaimed as she saw him bleeding.

"In you go," Dwight said as he pushed her in the van.

Summer grimaced as she landed on her injured hand. She saw Glenn move to help her. "I'm OK," she said. She looked as Joey was loaded up and the doors being closed. "You've been shot," she said as she went to look at the wound.

"You been hurt, that dick head do it?" Daryl asked.

"No, Negan. For lying to him when I was at Hilltop," Summer said.

"Better than what happened to David, he admitted on using the bat on him," Joey said.

"Where's Jes?" Michonne asked.

Summer and Joey exchanged glances."We haven't seen her," Joey said. "Didn't she make it back to Alexandria after getting Denise's body?"

"Nah, she stayed out to go after the two of you," Daryl said.

"We never saw her," Summer said.

Glenn looked at them, sitting next to Beth. "How many guys were with the group that captured you?"

"Not to man, but Negan was with them," Summer said.

"Four or five men that were with him, they took turns kicking me," Joey said.

"Two more were waiting in the truck Dwight wasn't with them, not at first," Summer said.

"No, he was the ones that got us," Rosita said.

"Six men, but they were talking with people on the radio," Beth said.

"Fourteen with out Negan," Glenn said. "They're close to Alexandria."

"Negan was bragging that they were staking out roads..." Summer said. "He knew we were responsible for his men," she said.

"I should have killed him when I had the chance," Daryl said.

"We should have never went after Negan, we should have let him come to us," Summer said.

"We can't go back, we just have to go forward," Michonne said. "Did they take anything from you two? Besides weapons? They cut a piece of my dreadlocks."

"My watch," Joey said.

"Proof that they have us," Beth said.

RV group POV:

Abraham looked over at Sasha who was sharing the seat with Lexi. "Think we can do it?"

"What?" Sasha asked.

"What they did, Glenn and Maggie, what Rick and Jewel did. Just asking if you could do that, doing something as big as that, that's living," Abraham said.

"Could you?" Sasha asked.

"That would be one cute kid. I'm all for being Aunty Lexi!" Lexi said.

Abraham laughed. "Well, glad to see we got one of the Williams sisters stamp of approval. Yeah, I could, now, just letting you know," Abraham told Sasha.

"Abraham," Lexi said as she nodded to men in front of the RV.

"I see it. Bitch nuts,"Abraham said as he stopped.

"Go back and sit with Maggie," Sasha instructed Lexi. Lexi nodded as she got up. Sasha looked at Rick. "We making out stand?"

"Yeah we end it,"Carl said.

"She wasn't asking you," Jewel told him.

Rick looked back at Carl. "No not now, they've been waiting, they're ready. With one of us behind the wheel, and Lexi staying with Maggie, that's six on sixteen. We're going to play it our way, how we want it. Right?"

Jewel nudged Carl's shoulder. "Right?" she asked him.

"Right," Carl said.

"Alright go slow," Rick instructed Abraham.

Aaron, Jewel, Eugene and Carl went to the side windows as one of the men started shooting into the air. Jewel cast a glance at Rick as he squeezed her hand.

"Carl," Jewel said as she nodded toward the back of the RV. "Want to tell me what's going on in that bran of yours" she asked as she lowered her voice.

"I just want to end it, so they can't kill anyone else," Carl said.

"Don't you think we want that too? But there is a time and place for everything. And this is not the time to make a stand. You are a smart kid, a smart young man, so you need to use that brain that's under that sheriff's hat. Maggie is sick, the top priority is to get her to Hilltop. Nothing else matters. Why isn't Enid here?" Jewel questioned. "You didn't want her and Lexi to come, she isn't here," she said.

"I locked her in a closet," Carl admitted.

"Really?" Jewel asked as she shook her head. "I'm not going to worry about that right now, but don't think this is the last we are going to talk about it," she said.

"Yes mom," Carl said before she walked back up front.

"Everything OK?" Rick asked.

"For now," Jewel answered as she squeezed his shoulder.

"ow are we on gas?"Rick asked.

"Half of tank. I pulled some more cans before we left," Abraham answered.

"Those weren't the same men who blocked the road the first time," Sasha said.

"Same outfit, different soldiers," Abraham said. "They got numbers."

"Like cockroaches," Jewel muttered.

"We keep driving, we get her there," Rick said.

"We will," Sasha said.

""If we have to shove each and every one of them up there own asses," Abraham said as he stopped the RV seeing walker's being chained together.

"Hell's bells," Jewel said. "They are boxing us in," she said. "Like Terminus did to all of you."

"We can't go through it, can't risk the RV. Stay behind the wheel, just in case. We'll clear it," Rick said, getting out of the RV.

Jewel walked closely to him, taking out a hatchet.

"Putting together a Red Rove like that takes people. A lot of them," Eugene said.

"Come on, let's do this," Rick said.

"Dad,"Carl said.

"Rick," Jewel nodded to a embroidered knife holder. "That's Summer's," she said.

"That's Michonne's, and that's Joey's," Aaron said as he nodded to a walker wearing a dread lock and one wearing a jacket.

"That's Daryl's," Sasha said pointing out arrows.

Jewel and Rick both walked up to the walkers grabbing the the knife holder, and the hair before they went to kill the walkers. As Rick went to get the chains cut, people started shooting at there feet. "Get back to the RV! Go!" Rick ordered.

"Carl go!" Jewel yelled as Abraham jumps out of the RV and starts shooting at the hills.

One bullet hitting Rick's ax making it fall, him going to grab it, then breaking the chains on the walkers creating a path."Start it up!" Rick ordered as he ran to the RV.
