Why

I know it is hard. At the end of the day, not many people know the real you. All they see is a beast of a man whose only loves are his sword, and the pink-haired little girl who he carries around on his shoulder. Sometimes, I've seen even your own men wonder the same.

You know, it makes me laugh, sometimes. You spend all these years with your captain, centuries even, and yet, he remains a stranger. Yes, he's hard to read, but, just pay attention to him! I'm not telling you to suddenly open up about your feelings to everybody, no. That would literally make you a worse person, unless you can control the extent to which you decide to open up.

As one of the very few people whom you allow yourself to fully open up to, let me ask you a question.

Why do you love her?

"Because she is kind. Because she cares, so much, in fact, that she'll drive herself to do the right thing irrespective of what it takes out of her. Because she is strong, despite her appearance. And above all, she doesn't hesitate to express herself to my face. Because I do love her, and always will."

You see? This already puts you ahead of most people, many of whom, despite being as old as you, or even older, cannot accept the idea that at the end of the day, even if we may appear like monsters on the battlefield, we are still human. You know why you do something, they don't. At the end of the day, you know that you can count on me and at least four others who will always stand beside you.

Do you know why she loves you? It is due to the fact that yes, you're brash, but you're honest about what you feel, because you think the world of a pink-haired little girl who considers you her father. Because you accept yourself for who you are rather than try to be something you're not. Her reasons are endless, but she is ready to make her journey with you by her side. All she needs is for you to understand that fully. Let the others talk. They talked when Isane and I went public and they will talk if you choose to go public. That's all they are supposed to do. Don't let them get to you. She doesn't. And if they start to do so, well- a hard day of intense training never hurt anyone, and neither do multiple bruises.

Take your time, talk to her, and then make your choice. I can only let you know how I feel. At the end of the day, it's your call.
