All Nightmare Long

Chapter 504

Author's Note: Ugh, Walking Dead writers need to stick to the comics! People are ticking me off. LOL. Well Rick is staying around, I've got a few ideas. And the groups aren't going to be as disassociated with each other. Michonne is pissing me off. Rick would not like that his family isn't even talking to each other, so that's not happening. They may be farther away and not liking Negan is alive, but yeah, if Michonne does something really bad she can go stay out where Daryl is. And this chapter took me forever to write because I am injured. LOL Please review.

Sylvie POV:

Sampson looked at Sylvie as she ate dinner. "What?"

"Negan told me you asked to go to Alexandria with him for pickup," Sampson said as he looked across the table at her.

Sylvie put down her fork and looked at him. "I did. Did he tell you why I wanted to go?"

"Something about trying to keep the momma bear calm," Sampson answered as he leaned across the table. "That's only half the reason isn't it?" as he took her hand.

"Who are you asking for?" Sylvie asked.

"What do you mean?" Sampson asked.

"Are you asking for yourself? Or for Negan?" Sylvie questioned. She watched his face and leaned back in her chair. "Oh come on Sam, you knew that I would ask that didn't you? You got an upgrade in quarters once he figured out we were together, so it's logical for me to wonder if you are Negan, really Negan," she said.

"We're all Negan," Sampson reminded her. "Some of us are more Negan then others. And there's some of us who don't want to be Negan at all, even if it meant dying for another person to not be Negan."

Sylvie looked at him. "What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that if you have a plan, whatever it is, don't worry about me," Sam told her. "Look, whatever loyalty I had to Negan...he severed it the minute he tortured a son in front of his mother," he said. "I had a son, before this."

"How old?" Sylvie asked as she looked at him.

"He was 15. He was with his mother, I hadn't seen him in years, like ten to be exact. I wasn't exactly the best father, I don't even know if he or his mother is still alive. She got married when he was five, moved to California. Like I said, I wasn't the best father," he confessed.

"It doesn't mean you didn't care," Sylvie told him. "Why are you telling me this now?"

"Because I want you to know that whatever you need to do, I want you too. And baring my soul is the easiest way to do that," he told her as he sat down. "I looked at that kid, a kid who was wearing an eye patch, on the ground and had both of his parents begging for him. And he brought her daughter into it. I knew he was bad...but he is a monster."

"He always has been, since he took over the Sanctuary, at least in my eyes he was," Sylvie said. "Dwight's in charge of Daryl?" she asked.

"Yeah, stripped him naked, torturing him with sleep deprivation, and feeding him dog food sandwiches," he told her.

"So the same torture that he went through? Couldn't come up with his own," Sylvie said sarcastically. "He isn't going to break, he'll die first. I'm going to go see him," she said as she stood up.

"You're going to go see Daryl? Now? You know Dwight isn't going to let you," Sampson said.

"He owes me," Sylvie said.

"Take this," Sampson said as he threw her a granola bar.

Sykvie nodded as she went to the door then turned around. "Thanks," she said as she walked out the door taking a breath. She started to walk down the stairs to the holding area.

"Sylvie stop," Dwight said as he came up from behind her.

Sylvie stood and turned around. "Let me down there, Dwight," Sylvie told him.

"You know I can't do that," Dwight told her.

"Is this you speaking? Or Negan?" Sylvie asked.

"There isn't a difference," Dwight said.

"Look, I know you are doing what you have to do, what will keep you out of trouble with Negan. I need to talk with Daryl, alone. You owe me," Sylvie told him.

"How do I owe you?" Dwight asked.

"I gave you and Sherry a chance to get away, and I came back here. I was willing to take whatever Negan was willing to give if that meant you and Sherry could live free of him. But you didn't even give me 14 hours. You got scared, and you came back here to protect Sherry, and the hell with me right? Now you are trying to get Daryl to submit and become Negan so you can make yourself feel better," Sylvie said.

"We're all Negan, there is no escape. You keep pushing and he'll get tired of it," Dwight warned.

"I'm not your concern," Sylvie said. "Give me the key Dwight, go keep Negan entertained, and I'll be back in a half an hour. You didn't have to see a thing."

"He'll kill me if he finds out," Dwight told her.

"Then you'd be Dwight and not Negan," Sylvie said.

"And what will keep me from telling Negan that you are down there? It won't be you that he punishes," Dwight reminded her.

"You won't tell him because I'll tell him about your secret meetings with Sherry, the ones on the stairs? Sherry wouldn't be the one he punishes either," she retorted and she held her hand out. "Key."

Dwight looked at her and gave her the key. "Don't ask this again, we're even."

"We're even when I say we are," Sylvie said as she took the key. She walked down and took out the key. "Daryl, it's Sylvie, I'm going to open the door," she said as she opened the door, seeing him in the corner. "I know. you aren't going to believe me, but I'm not here as Negan. I don't agree with what he is doing," she said as she held out the granola bar. "It's all I could bring this time."

Daryl didn't move to take it causing her to sigh.

"I'm going to have to take the wrapper back, so you'll ave to eat it while I'm here. I'm sorry about your friends. My boyfriend was the one that held your sister, he told me that he believes your people has a chance to bring him down. I never leave the Sanctuary but I'm going to Alexandria, I'm going to talk to your sister. I don't have a plan, but I need to know something only you and her know. I know you have every reason not to trust me, after everyting that's happened. But can you take that chance?" Slvie asked.
