All Nightmare Long
Chapter 516
Author's Note: Sorry that I have been MIA, I was sick, but thought it was my anxiety, then I started running a 103 temp and wound up in the hospital with a Kidney infection. Spent four days there, then got out on Monday and just rested. And when I felt like writing, neither of my devices were charged. Season 9 is awesome, of course it'll change with Rick being around in the story. But I have , I had a chapter done and went to post and somehow lost a half of chapter. So it took another week to be able to sit back down and get back to it, which turned out better. Please review. I want to know if anyone is still reading.
Saviors:
Negan walked into the conference room as he whistled. "The whole gang is here," he said as he sat down. "Exactly what I like, promptness. Everyone on time," he cooed.
"We planning on something big today, Boss?" Simon questioned.
"We're going to visit our newest group,"Negan said.
Sylvie glanced at Dwight then at Sampson. "You gave them a week, right?" she asked.
"I did, but hell, got to keep them on there toes. I mean just in case the prick has a little fight left in him," Negan answered. "D, you think Daryl is compliant enough to take with us?"
Sampson squeezed Sylvie's leg, keeping her from saying anything else.
"Yeah, he isn't going to want to be responsible for anyone else death, he feels guilty enough for what happened in the line up," Dwight answered.
"Do we need him?" Arat questioned.
Sylvie took her chance to speak. "I hate to say that I agree with Arat, but she has a point, do you really need to throw salt in the wound by parading him around his friends and family?"
"That's not exactly what I meant," Arat challenged her. "And why are you even here? All of a sudden you want to be in the inner circle?"
"She's always been in the inner circle, Arat, even before you. You have a problem with it, you can take it up with me alone, or I can put you to work for points. Is that what you want Arat?" Negan questioned.
"No sir,"Arat answered.
"I didn't think you did. I'm not going to expect Sylvie to kill, that's not her, but if I can trust Dwight, I certainly can trust my sister in law, now can't I?" Negan asked with a laugh. "Now that we have that out of the way, let's get going. We want all the day light we can get to spend with out new friends, don't we? Let's make a big second impression, shall we? Bring all the LT's, lot's of the worker's. We're going to go in large, make Rick the prick remember not to mess with me. I'll show up a couple times, deal with any thoughts Rick and his minions have brewing," he said.
"Do you think he will after what you did to his kid?" Sampson questioned.
"He's been the big cheese for so long, that he needs to keep being reminded. Even if he isn't thinking it, it's going to be fun to make sure he doesn't," Negan told the group as he stood up. "Be ready to head out in an hour," he said as he left the room, letting the group disperse.
Arlington group POV:
Shaw walked into the room where Garza was was packing a backpack. "Where do you think you're going?" he asked.
"You know where I'm going, to see what I can do to help Jes and her people," Garza answered.
"It's not your problem, you're needed here," Shaw informed him.
"Look, Shaw, I'm not asking for your permission. There's a threat out there, a threat that could show up on our door step at any minute. We could lose anyone in this building and we would be helpless to fight back because we don't know what we are up against," Garza told him.
"And what good is it going to be if you go out there and die?" Chloe asked.
"Kids right," Shaw told him. "She doesn't want your help, you do remember she threatened to kill you if she ever saw you again right?"
"We came to a somewhat hesitant truce," Garza answered.
"Does she know you're coming?" Harris asked.
Shaw looked at his face and laughed as he lit up a cigar. "She doesn't. Well shit Garza, you thinking with the wrong head, that's going to get you killed."
"That's not what this is about," Garza insisted.
"Then what is it about? Come on Raph, we're all your friends," Harris answered.
"Jes said we're still playing soldiers, and we are. But she's also right about the fact that everyone is a soldier now. Look, I saw that girl Summer's mother the day after, and she was trying to hold it together, because she felt like she had to. For two days, I've just been thinking about what if it was one of ours, we'd need allies. We also need intel, because she's right, it won't be long until they find us," Garza explained.
"We do owe them a dog," K-9 reminded them.
"See we owe them a dog," Garza agreed.
"And what stops them from shooting you on sight? I mean if there was an enemy at my gate and a stranger show up, I'd shoot then ask who the hell you are," Shaw said.
"Not if one of us goes with him," Thor said.
"What would that do? Have two strangers who look like they could be these Savior's?" Shaw questioned.
"Not if I go with them," Chloe answered. "I don't look scary, and we can easily use the excuse that I could be around kids for a day or two. You know like the good old days?" Chloe answered.
"Absolutely not," Claire told her younger sister.
"It's not a bad idea, and she could be around kids her own age for a bit," Ciera told her older sibling. "Look, this guy is a threat and one we didn't know about it. Now we do, and if we can observe and maybe prepare for the threat," she told the group.
"We've lost people, we aren't as strong as we used to be," Harris told them. "We could use allies," he told Shaw.
"And, if you get killed?" Shaw asked.
"That's a risk we take every day. Jes knows me, Joey knows me, Jewel knows me and Summer does too. And, if Chloe comes with me, they are less likely to shoot. Look they said he wouldn't be there for a week, we go today, stay a day or two, deliver a dog, show them some stuff, earn there trust. Then come back after he shows up, get intel. It's a good plan, Shaw and you know it," Garza told him.
"Two days," Shaw responded.
"Got it," Garza answered.
TBC hopefully next chapter won't take 4 weeks.
