BSAA agents Chris Redfield, Sheva Alomar, and Jill Valentine had just arrived at a spot in South Africa where a bioweapon arms deal was rumored to go down. As soon as they met up with their contact, they geared up for the mission.
"Jill, Sheva, are you guys ready?", Chris asked his two teammates.

"Absolutely, Commander Redfield.", Sheva said as she loaded her weapons.

"Yeah, I'm ready.", Jill said, seeming a little distant. Chris had a look of sympathetic concern on his face.

"You're still thinking about Dylan, aren't you?", Chris inquired, remembering the day that Jill's husband Dylan DeVellis tackled their hated foe Albert Wesker off of a cliff through a window, saving both of their lives.

"Yes, I am. I still can't believe he's gone.", Jill said as she turned away, wincing at the memory of his loss.

"We can't say that he's gone for good. They couldn't find his body, so there's a chance he's still alive.", Chris said, staying optimistic. "Besides, Dylan would want us to continue our mission to free the world of bioweapons."

"Right. Let's do this.", Jill said, feeling a little bit better. Later on, they learned that notorious arms dealer Ricardo Irving was behind the spread of a new bioweapon called "Uroboros". They chased him into a construction site and had him at gunpoint.

"Don't move, Irving. It's over.", Sheva said with a steely look of determination in her eyes. Just when they thought that they had him, one of the windows shattered as a smoke grenade was tossed into the room. A masked figure wearing a dark green cloak jumped in through the broken window, and wrapped Irving's arm around his shoulder.

"Come on, Irving, let's get out of here.", The hooded man said as the two escaped. Jill felt a chill run up and down her spine when the hooded man spoke. Through the smoke, she was able to see the two drive away in a roofless Jeep.

"Stop!", she shouted as she fired her weapon twice. When the smoke cleared, the two were gone. She turned to her teammates, who were still coughing from smoke inhalation. "Guys, are you okay?!", Jill said, running to Chris's side.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Did Irving get away?", Chris said as he tried to regain his breath. He helped Sheva to her feet.

"Yes, but he had help. The accomplice was wearing a mask and a cloak. But, his voice was hauntingly familiar.", she replied. Then, Sheva noticed a file resting on a desk out of the corner of her eye. She opened it up, and was shocked with what she found.

"Guys? You'd better come take a look at this.", she said. Chris and Jill went over to her, and looked at the file. Jill's eyes widened when she saw the picture attached to the top with a paperclip. It was a picture of her supposedly dead husband, Dylan DeVellis.

"I-is this real? Is Dylan alive?", Jill said as she covered her mouth, small tears of joy filling her eyes as she was suddenly full of hope. Chris was stunned, but happy.

"We don't know for sure. So we need to keep investigating.", he said as he re-loaded his gun. Jill and Sheva nodded in approval. The group encountered the hooded man again on docks connected to a riverside oil refinery. He and Irving were attempting to escape on a speedboat.

"This is as far as you go, fools.", the hooded man said right before pulling out his gun, and shooting a stack of fuel barrels. The explosion gave them the distraction they needed to escape once again.

"God FUCKING damn it! They got away again.", Jill fumed as she calmed herself down. She was able to do so by counting backwards from one thousand in intervals of seven. Immediately afterwards, Chris, Jill, and Sheva all got the same message from the Global Pharmaceutical Consortium representative of South Africa, Excella Gionne.

"Listen, I think you should all withdraw from the mission. There's nothing else for you to investigate.", she said before she cut the transmission.

"Is it just me, or does Director Gionne sound like she was hiding something?", Sheva said.

"She definitely sounded pretty shady. We should continue to look into this, and find out what dirty secrets she's keeping.", Chris said.

"I agree. We can't let Irving get away from us again.", Jill agreed. Just then, delta team captain Josh Stone ran into the fray.

"Get down!", he said as he shot a Majini that was about to attack them from behind.

"Thanks, Josh.", Chris said as the four of them hopped into another speedboat The four chased after the massive river liner that Irving was on.

"We've got to catch up to that boat before they get away!", Jill said as they got closer. The roaring of the speedboat's engine nearly drowned out Jill's voice. Once they got close enough, Chris, Jill, and Sheva jumped onto one of the lower decks of the boat.

"Good luck, guys! I'll call in to the higher ups, and try to send reinforcements.", Josh said as he was about to call for backup.

"Hey, if we survive this, I'm buying us all drinks.", Chris said as Josh sped away.

"I'm holding you to that, Redfield!", Josh called over his shoulder. The three managed to corner Irving on the ship's top deck.

"Stand down, Irving! You've been caught. Come along quietly.", Sheva said as her finger began to squeeze the trigger. Irving smirked, and pulled a syringe gun out of his lab coat pocket.

"That's what you think.", he said as he injected the contents of the syringe gun into his neck. All of a sudden, he fell to his knees as his body began to transform. "Hahahahaha! Now I've achieved an awesome power with which to kick your asses!" He had transformed into a mutated humanoid shark. He roared, and charged at his pursuers.

"Open fire!", Chris said as he and his team shot at Irving. Despite being riddled with bullets, Irving didn't stop fighting. At one point, he dove into the water and grew to the size of the boat that our heroes were on. After a long and heated battle, Irving lay on the deck of the boat, mortally wounded.

"*cough cough* Heh. I guess she thought I wasn't good enough for the real stuff.", Irving said. Jill leaned down warily, not wanting to be caught off-guard.

"Wait, who is "she"?", she asked. Irving laughed a little bit.

"Someone I think you'd know well.", Irving said, coughing up a little bit of blood. "You know, dying isn't so bad. At least my suffering is finally over.", he said as the last of his life force fled his body. Sheva scowled.

"Damn, we lost him, and he was our best lead. Now, we're back to square one.", she said. Chris walked over, and closed Irving's eyelids.

"Not exactly, Sheva. Before he died, Irving said the ringleader was someone we knew well. But, who could it be?", he said as he went over the details of the case that they knew. Later they had entered an underground laboratory complex belonging to the medical research organization called Tri-cell. Our heroes entered a massive room that functioned as one of the main experimental testing sites. As soon as they stepped into the room, the door locked behind them and a light turned on in the observation room above the lab. Excella stared down at them, a smirk on her face.

"Excella, what's going on here?!", Chris said, demanding an explanation. Excella chuckled.

"I'm surprised you three survived to make it this far. I thought Irving had finished you on the boat. Oh, well. Guess that's my job now.", she said as she typed a code into her chair's armrest console. Some of the holding cells on the far side of the room opened, releasing a group of Lickers into the room. The hooded man walked into the observation room.

"Ma'am, he's here.", he said.

"Very well.", Excella replied. Then, she turned back to our heroes. "As much as I'd love to stick around to watch you die, I have business to attend to. Au revoir.", she said. Jill angrily pulled out her gun, and killed the Lickers. She then turned back to the observation room.

"Get back here!", she shouted as she used up the last few bullets in her gun on the bulletproof glass.

"Well, at least this confirms our theory.", Sheva said as she cleaned the Licker's blood off of her clothes, and her weapons.

"But she might know something about what happened to Dylan, so we can't rule out that possibility, either.", Jill said. As soon as the door in front of them unlocked, they advanced into a massive circular open-air elevator surrounded by thousands of large tubes filled with people that were in a state of suspended animation. Turning towards the center of the elevator, Chris noticed a computer console. He typed in Dylan's name to see if anything turned up. When the elevator came to a stop, the three of them walked into what looked to be ruins of an ancient city. They were shocked that a city this large would be built in an underground cavern. Just then they spotted Excella and the hooded man exiting into another chamber in front of them. Chris ran ahead, as Jill and Sheva followed in hot pursuit. As soon as they were able to catch up, Sheva opened fire on the hooded man. He dodged most of the bullets with ease, but the last one caught him by surprise, and knocked off his mask. He grimaced under the hood.

"You'll pay dearly for that.", he said. Chris drew his gun on Excella, fully intent on finding out the truth.

"No more bullshit, Excella. I want some answers!", he demanded. All of a sudden, they heard another voice in the room. They all turned to see their hated nemesis, Albert Wesker walking down the stairs from behind Excella.

"Well, isn't this one big family reunion.", Wesker said. Chris was stunned that Wesker had survived after falling hundreds of feet at the Spencer Estate. "We last fought at the...Spencer Estate, wasn't it?", he said, sounding like the pompous villain he was.

"Wesker?! You are alive.", Chris said.

"I thought you'd be happier to see us.", Wesker said as he walked behind the hooded man.

"Us?", Sheva asked. Wesker smirked.

"Yes, us.", he said as he pulled back the other man's hood. Jill was stunned that the man under the hood was her long lost husband, Dylan DeVellis. She pulled out her gun with rage that infected her to the core, and pointed it right in between Wesker's eyes.

"Wesker, you FUCKING BASTARD! What the FUCK have you done to him?!", Jill shouted as blood began to fill her vision. Wesker nodded towards the device on Dylan's chest.

"I used this device on Dylan's chest. Now he obeys my every command without question.", he said as he turned to Dylan. "Kill her." Dylan nodded, getting into a combat stance.

"Yes, sir.", he said. Then he charged at Jill, and threw a punch that she easily managed to block.

"Dylan, please stop this. It's me, Jill. Don't you remember me?", Jill asked pleadingly, trying to snap him out of his trance. Dylan's look of emotionless, ice-cold determination chilled her down to her very soul.

"I know who you are, Agent Valentine. And I will not stop until my orders have been carried out.", Dylan said as he lashed out a powerful roundhouse kick that sent Jill flying backwards. Jill cracked her knuckles, and a steely look of resolve filled her eyes where there was once grief and sorrow.

"Look, I don't want to fight you, Dylan.", she said as she cracked her knuckles. "But I will if I must!" The two charged at one another and began to brawl. "Chris! Sheva! Stop Wesker. I'll deal with Dylan." Chris and Sheva nodded, and turned to face Wesker.

"We're putting an end to this once and for all, Wesker. When you get to the afterlife, say hi to our comrades that you killed.", Chris said.

"Unfortunately, I only have seven minutes to spare. Very well, then. Let's go.", Wesker said as Chris and Sheva charged at him. The two thought their punches had connected, but Wesker phased out of the way at the last second. He reappeared behind them and knocked them forward with a double palm-heel strike, causing them both to stagger. They opened fire on Wesker, but he was easily able to dodge the bullets with his superhuman physiology. Meanwhile, Dylan and Jill were in the midst of a heated battle. They were evenly matched, meeting each other blow for blow. The two grappled one another, neither side giving so much as an inch.

"I've got to admit, Dylan. You're a lot stronger than the last time we saw each other.", Jill said as she broke the deadlock. She threw a punch that she was certain would hit. However, Dylan instantly blocked it, and knocked her arm to the side. Her eyes widened with shock.

"Don't look so surprised, Agent Valentine. After all, you're the one who taught me everything you know.", he said as he attempted to land a left hook that Jill managed to duck under. Taking the opportunity to strike, she smashed Dylan in the face with her elbow. He staggered backwards, blood from his nose dripping onto his skin-tight bodysuit. Jill blushed profusely, thinking about how down-right attractive he looked. But she shook her head to get her head back into the game. "Argh! Cheap shot, you bitch!", Dylan said as he wiped the blood away. He charged at her and let loose a massive barrage of punches that Jill was able to block.

"You'll have to do better than that, honey.", Jill said with a small smirk. Dylan grinned menacingly.

"Oh, trust me. I will.", he said as he pulled off a perfect leg swipe, catching Jill completely off-guard. He took the opportunity to attack, and unleashed a devastating kick. The kick was so strong, it caused the wall she slammed into to visibly crack, and form a very shallow crater. She coughed up a little bit of blood and fell to her knees. "You can't win, Valentine. I know your every move before you even make it.", he said as she slowly stood up. He moved in to finish her off, but Jill had one last trick up her sleeve.

"Oh yeah? I doubt you planned for this.", she said as she kissed him, causing him to completely drop his guard. Jill gripped the mind control device on his chest as hard as she could, and ripped it off of him. Dylan let out a roar of pain, and staggered backwards. Jill rushed to his side. "Dylan! Are you okay?!" As soon as he came to his senses, he was flooded with guilt.

"O-oh god, what have I done?!", Dylan said as he fell to his knees, and began to silently cry a bit. "I wasn't in control of what I was doing, but I was aware. By god, I was aware. Jill, I can't forgive myself for trying to kill you. If you want to leave me, I would totally understand." He looked away, unable to face the woman he loved. Jill grabbed his cheeks, and turned his head so he was staring straight at her. She had a serious look in her eyes.

"Dylan DeVellis, nothing on this earth could ever stop me from loving you. We promised each other that we would be together through the good and bad when we got married, and I intend on keeping it that way.", she said as small tears of joy fell down her face. She gave Dylan a warm, loving, and sympathetic smile. "Now shut up and kiss me." Dylan squeezed her in a tight hug, and the two lovers shared a passionate kiss.

"Thank you, Jill. Now then, let's go stop Wesker.", he said as he re-loaded his gun. "Just like old times?" Jill smiled fondly, intent on saving the world from their mortal enemy.

"Just like old times."
