Chapter 535
Author's Note: My birthday is the 12 of Sep. I want to try to get this out before then, and hopefully I do. Please review.
Evagaline Lillie as Billie
India Eisley as Ruthie
Oceanside:
Billie stood near Cyndie, Rachael and Ruthie and watched the three.
"It's gross, just throw it back," Rachael said as she looked at the wet bear.
"We can empty it out, stuff it full of Miss Iris sage, and some of the lavender too," Cyndie told her.
"Then what?" both of the girls asked.
"Then you have an awesome bear the survived the stormy sea, girls," Cyndie told them.
"Aren't we a little too old for stuffed animals?" Ruthie asked. "It's childish."
"Ruthie, it doesn't have to be," Billie told her daughter.
"I had one when I was your age," Cyndie told them.
"You also had electricity and went to school," Ruthie pointed out.
"Oh shit, look!" Rachael exclaimed as she ran toward a corpse.
"Don't run!" Cyndie yelled after her.
"Stay back, Ruthie," Billie warned.
Rachael stabbed it in the head and looked at the two adults. "One hit, didn't have to do it twice. Not bad huh?"
"Yeah," Cyndie said.
"You shouldn't have ran ahead. What would have happened if it got loose? The both of you don't need to be running ahead of the two of us. We're out here to teach you, but we can't do that if you're dead," Billie informed them.
"Look another one!" Rachael said as she ran.
"Hey it's my turn!" Ruthie said as she ran after her.
"What did I just say?" Billie yelled after them.
"Come on don't run!" Cyndie yelled after them.
Both girls raised their spears ready to stab the body.
"Wait!" Cyndie yelled as she bent down and moved the hair out of the woman's face.
"Cyndie?" Billie questioned.
"She's not a bobber, she's still alive," Cyndie said as she looked at Billie.
"We still have to do it," Rachael said as she raised her stick.
"No we don't have to do it," Cyndie said.
"Yes we do," Rachael said.
Billie took the stick out of both girls hands. "We aren't going to do it."
"We don't have to do it, not if people don't find out," Cyndie told them.
"We're supposed to," Rachael said. "I want too," she said.
"Mom what is it?" Ruthie asked as her mother threw down her sticks and threw down her backpack.
"Bill? Billie!" Cyndie called as the other woman dived in the ocean.
"There's someone out there struggling!" Ruthie said as she stepped closer to the ocean.
"Stay here," Cyndie told her as Billie swam up holding onto another woman.
"Not sure how far they came from, she just passed out," Billie said as she put the other woman on the ground.
"Why did you save her? We have to kill them," Ruthie told her mother.
"We aren't going to kill them," Billie said.
"Why not? I want to do it," Rachael told them.
"Well we don't so it's not going to happen," Cyndie said. "Are you going to tell? Just tell me if you're going to tell, if you're a snitch."
"I'm not a snitch, but I'm not going to help," Rachael said as she walked away. "Come on Ruthie," she said.
"I'm not going to tell, I'll help," Ruthie said as Rachael picked up the bag and threw it.
"So now what?" Billie asked.
"Now we go back, then I'll come back with supplies," Cyndie answered. "It's better if we don't all come back," she told the others.
Billie nodded as she walked with Ruthie and Cyndie. "Come on Rachael," she told the other teen as she glanced back to the two women who were unconscious.
Later on in the afternoon Tara and Quinn's POV:
Quinn took a breath waking up, sitting up seeing Tara. "Tara," she gasped as she checked her friend's pulse taking a deep breath as she saw she was breathing. She quickly turned her head as she thought she heard something and quickly laid down closing her eyes. She'd periodically half open an eye to check what the other woman was doing. She noticed she left bottled water for both of them and wrapped paper, and then laid down a spear before walking away. She gave her a minute before moving beside Tara and grabbing a water bottle for herself. She saw Tara open her eyes and smiled at her putting her hand up to her mouth as Tara grabbed the bottle water and both women scooted back watching the other woman. Tara drank the water down before grabbing the package and unwrapped it, looking at the fish head then quickly offered it to Quinn who shook her head. Both women stood up as the other woman walked away. Tara taking the spear and following her. Tara and Quinn made it to a clearing and stopped and saw two women carrying laundry, they cautiously moved around the building, seeing children run out and giggling then saw a group of women and children working on various things. They looked at each other as they moved to some hanging camouflage and both took spots on either side of it and the tree. They both watched as all the women and children scattered and then some of the women got guns, and started shooting causing both women to run.
"We need to split up," Quinn yelled as she ran.
"We are not splitting up, you don't have a weapon, and I barley have one!" Tara yelled at her as they both ducked from the gun shots.
Both ran, Tara using the spear to cause the woman who was chasing them to fall, her grabbing the gun.
"Go ahead," the woman hissed.
Tara took the but of the gun to her head, knocking her out. The both of them running until a young girl pulled a gun on them.
"Tara, you can't…." Quinn cautioned as she looked at the kid.
"I wasn't," she said as she put down the rifle.
"Doesn't matter, we're supposed to," the young girl said.
"Hey, I have daughters' at home, your age, a little older. I wouldn't want them to pull that trigger, kill someone. It changes you, just put down the gun, and my friend and I will walk away," Quinn told her.
"Rachael, no," the same woman from the beach said as women came out with their guns pointed.
"Hi…" Tara said, nervously. "I just, we just, we didn't mean too. Look we're cool, we're cool right?" she asked Quinn.
"Yeah, we're cool," Quinn answered.
"We're not here to hurt anyone," Tara assured them.
"We just got in to a bit of trouble, we just want to go home," Quinn added.
"Rachel, everyone, just put down your guns, please," the older teen said.
"Cyndie, get away from them!" an older woman yelled as she came up.
"They haven't done anything wrong," Cyndie told her.
"That has nothing to do with it," the woman told her. "Get away."
Quinn and Tara looked at each other as Cyndie walked away. "I just want to get home to my kids, we don't mean any trouble," Quinn told them.
"I'm sorry, we just walked in. crawled, we didn't know we were in. I'm sorry, she's sorry. We can just go. OK so this is cool too, we can just keep doing this," Tara said as she glanced at Quinn.
"Are we really going to just shoot two people who we found in trouble?" Billie asked as she walked between them and the leader.
"Billie move," the leader warned.
"No," Billie said. "We need to hear them out, then we decide what we're going to do. That's what they would have wanted us to do," she told the other women.
The leader looked at her then the two women. "Fine, we're going to take them back and talk," she said as she turned her back to her.
