Chapter Two-
It went silent, and you could hear a pen drop. That is, until Akane came to Mizuki's rescue, "Mizuki! Get your hands off her.". Akuji let go and sat back down, crossing her legs and sipping on her tea like nothing happened, "Jeez- Tamaki are you alright?". Mizuki and Akane left, content with what happened. Akuji stared off into the distance, pretending to not have a reaction. The twins walked over, "What was all that about? We were just watchi- Boss your roots are red-". Kyoya nodded and Honey seemed upset, "Tama-chan, are you bleeding?". Tamaki flinched and smiled, "No, of course I'm not. It's just marker Honey-Senpai.". Akuji was going through her bag for her medical kit she carried around with her, "Where is it?".
Mori hovered over Akuji, "Your kit?". She nodded, still focused. He continued, "I watched someone come over here for a moment and leave while we were watching that girl with the pink hair.". Akuji froze, "Someone has it?". He nodded when she smiled, pained, "I gotta get home guys, school's almost out anyways. Make sure to get some ointment for the scratches Senpai.".
Akuji picked up her bag and left, leaving the room silent. "I think she's hiding something from us.", Kaoru said, sticking his hands in his pockets. Haruhi followed, "I know I always say secrets don't make friends, but maybe it's for our own good? Think about it, maybe she doesn't want us to know because she's embarrassed.". Hikaru nodded, nudging Kaoru, "You should follow after Haruhi's example more often.". Kaoru elbowed Hikaru in the ribcage, "In your dreams.". The twins left, punching each other-playfully of course-and it was just Mitsukuni, Takashi, Tamaki, Haruhi and Kyoya- I mean Honey, Mori, Tamaki, Haruhi and Kyoya, since the guests and Jacob fled the scene.
Kyoya spoke up, having been more quiet than often, "Now that it's just us, I know it isn't my place to say it but something happened earlier.". Everyone looked at Kyoya, and he fixed his collar, "When we were in Honey's sweets pantry, her mom called. She put it on speaker because she dropped cake and was cleaning, but her mom mentioned insulin.".
Honey climbed onto Mori's shoulders and tilted his head, "What's insulin?". Haruhi answered his question, "It's a hormone, or in this context, medication. It treats high levels of glucose, because your pancreas can't create insulin naturally if you have diabetes. Is that what Akuji has? Diabetes?". Kyoya nodded, "Type 1, it's rare to develop Type 2 at her age.". Everyone looked at the ground except for Honey, who was totally oblivious to how bad this could end, "Is it deadly? I don't want Min-Chan to get hurt, Kyoya.". He nodded, "It can be, if she isn't careful. It seems that she already has one symptom, I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but she's surprisingly skinny. All signs point to Type 1, she needs to eat more, but that means she'd have to take more insulin and that can cause some temporary issues."
They all nodded and Mori spoke up, "I can teach everyone how to handle certain situations I've seen with her and her condition.". Kyoya shook his head, "There's no need, the new nurse is with my family's company.". In all honesty, he just wasn't too fond of the idea. Having to put the host club through training like that, adding onto the pile of weight on their shoulders? It didn't sit well with him, "Plus, I assume that she freaked out about the bag because it has her medications, so she should know how to take care of herself more.". Everyone nodded in agreement.
Once the remaining host club members finished discussing the plan, they all started cleaning and packing up. Kyoya and Tamaki were in charge of cleaning up the floor, Honey and Mori cleaned up sweets and Haruhi wiped down tables. One by one, the host club room began to look more like what it was meant to be, a music room. Being that the tile was still wet, Tamaki decided to make a game out of it, "What if -and hear me out- we dried up the floors...sliding.". He made jazz hands and everyone turned towards him, Haruhi being the one to speak up, "How would we even do that Senpai? No offense but it seems childish.". Tamaki snapped his fingers, "Excellent question Haruhi. See, I used to do this when I'd clean Kyoya's house, so he should know. First you…".
They all grabbed two rags each after taking off their shoes and stepped on them, slipping in the process. Tamaki took on the bold and brave facade, "Hang on tight men! On forth we go!". He held onto the table and pushed himself forward, and Kyoya soon followed. Eventually, everyone was gliding about the room, drying up the floor in the process.
This went on for a while until the entire floor was dry. The day was finally over for the host club. Tamaki and Kyoya were the last to leave the room, since they had to sign the check out sheet for everyone. Tamaki threw his backpack over his head to put it on, which was unusual for most but not him, "Come on, let's go!". Kyoya nodded and they walked out of the gates away from the middle school. A good amount of students were huddled in a circle, with a pink bag being held in the air by one of them.
They walked over to see exactly what was going on, being that everyone was laughing, and they met eyes with Akuji, who was trying to get the bag. It was like watching a dog jumping to get a treat. Tamaki walked up to them, shoving his hands in his pocket, "What's going on Akuji? Is this some sort of game?". Akuji looked over at Tamaki mid jump and fell onto her arm out of distractment, "It's just a g- Ack!". She got back up and looked at her scraped up arm, "Ugh, just give it back!".
The girl, who went by Erika, started opening up the vinyl bag, letting the contents pour out. Some glass bottles and needles fell out, shattering on the hot concrete floor. Akuji gasped and covered her mouth once Kyoya stepped in, "You do realize you've just broken a way someone survives right?". Erika looked at the two, "She's just wasting space anyways, she doesn't even belong here.". "Have you ever thought that maybe it's you who doesn't need to be here?", Tamaki said, annoyed and tired from the day.
Akuji had never seen this side of Tamaki and looked at him. Tamaki continued, "You may be pretty on the outside, but the inside needs some TLC. No one wastes space. I think you should go.".
Erika looked at Tamaki, smashing the final glass bottle and left, throwing the bag at Akujis face. The group dispersed, somewhat shocked about what had happened, and Tamaki bent down to help Akuji clean up. Kyoya watched them, sliding his hands into his pockets, "If you'd like, my family has some, we can head back to my house.
Akuji got onto her knees to grab her bag, "I mean sure, although I don't find it very appropriate for a woman to be going into a males house.". Kyoya shook his head and stared at the concrete, "It's not like I'm asking you to come over for anything intimate, Akuji.". Tamaki cupped her face in his hands, examining her, "Are you alright? You're not hurt right?". She shook her head, unfazed by the warmth of his hands, "No, not by any means. Just the scrape on my forearm, but it's not fatal or anything.". Tamaki nodded and let go, standing up and holding his hand out to her, "Up up up Min, very big day tomorrow.". Akuji grabbed his hand, getting up, "Big day?". Kyoya nodded while picking up her backpack and handing it to her, "The host club is going on vacation Akuji, now if you go or not is up to you.".
Akuji nods, "I think I'll go, to get away from all of this.". Kyoya nods and pulls his phone out of his pocket, "Should we grab something to eat?". Tamaki looked over at Kyoya, Violet eyes glistening with excitement. Kyoya always had the best food choices, and Tamaki was hoping Akuji would get the chance to experience that first hand, "Yeah, we should! But where would we go to eat? And we need to get out of our uniforms too.". "My house, we need to go there anyways. Tamaki, your clothes are in the closet, and the maids can probably find something for you to wear out Akuji.", he said, pushing his glasses up his nose.
They both nod and Kyoya starts walking in the direction of the parking lot, "My family's driver should be in the parking lot. They've been waiting for us, so we should give him appreciation for waiting so long.". Tamaki nods, "Is it Itsuki Senpai? He gives me gummy bears sometimes-". Kyoya begins to speak, turning the corner, "Yes, I believe so.". Akuji tilted her head, skipping a little, "Isu-Chan? I know him, but just barely. He does the same thing with me!". Tamaki and Akuji looked at each other, jokingly suspicious, and then started laughing.
Kyoya looked at the two, confused as to what they were laughing about, and walked up to the limousine, with the family logo plastered on the hood, "Here it is.". He opened up the passenger door, "Come on, we have places to be.". They both nodded and got in right behind each other, with Kyoya following in and shutting the door behind him. They all buckled up and Itsuki started driving to the family estate, "Everyone is buckled, correct?". Kyoya spoke for the group, "Yes, they are. My apologies for taking so long, we had some matters to attend to after school.".
Itsuki looked at them, using the mirror, "What kind of matter, if you don't mind me asking?". Kyoya looked at Akuji for approval, which she granted, and Kyoya explained the entire situation. Itsuki nodded and focused on driving, "I see, what's your name dear? You seem familiar but I can't put my finger on it.". Akuji looked at the mirror, "I'm Min Akuji, you send me gummy bears in the mail on occasion.". The driver smiled, "I remember now! Penpal right? Nice to meet you in person.".
Akuji smiled and partially bowed, "Same here sir.". Tamaki smiled and dug through his backpack to find a journal. It was a simple composition notebook, except it was covered in bright stickers. The light beamed down on a certain sticker that caught Akuji's eye, "Where did you find that one?". She pointed at a bright happy flower, with the colors of the rainbow standing in as petal colors. Tamaki looked at where her finger was placed and smiled, "I found it online as my 14th birthday present. I thought it was cute so I bought it!". Kyoya shook his head, pushing his glasses up his nose, "The artwork is by Takashi Murakami, a speculated Pedofile. My family used to do business with him until the rumor started spreading about his pedofiliac tendencies.".
Akuji leaned to the side to rest her head on the window, "Wow, I'm assuming your family has most connections out of the school?". They had already passed the gates to the estate at this point, and Akuji didn't give Kyoya a chance to answer when she gasped at the sight of the building, "Kyoya, this is gorgeous!". The light reflected off of the glass and into Akujis eyes, causing her to cover her face with her hands. The house had a modern feel to it, but maybe it was just the glass. Once the light got out of Akuji's eyes, they were at the front entrance, and Itsuki parked the car, "I guess the light doesn't like me-".
Tamaki shook his head while opening the door, "No it does not, but besides that, we need to get inside! It looks like it's gonna get bad here pretty soon.". He hopped out, then Akuji and finally Kyoya, and the door was open, awaiting their arrival. They all filed in and Akuji shut the door behind them, as Itsuki had other plans for the day. "Akuji, the room is upstairs and down the hall to your left, the first door. While you were talking to Itsuki, I requested that the maids find you something to wear. We'll be up there in a second.". Akuji nodded and ran upstairs while Tamaki and Kyoya stayed downstairs. Tamaki put his bag on one of the few hooks placed next to the door, right next to Kyoya's.
Tamaki looked around the room, "Whatever happened to that Kotatsu? It's been two years after all!". Kyoya shook his head, "We get a new one next week, you can wait till then Tamaki.". Tamaki pouted and then smiled once the reality hit him, jumping up and down, "Kyoya! My Pal! Mon ami! Yahoo!". "Tamaki, would you please get off of me?", Kyoya asked, trying his best to hold up Tamaki's weight, who was clinging onto him. Tamaki jumped down and ran off upstairs to go get changed.
Kyoya smiled at the sight and picked up his phone to a message from Haruhi, "Kyoya-Senpai, have you seen my under-". He held the phone closer to his face before walking upstairs into the room Tamaki and Akuji were in, "Tamaki, have you seen Haruhi's undergarments? She said she left them in the dressing room.". Tamaki looked over at Kyoya, shocked, "What? Why would I have Haruhi's undergarments? Ask the shady twins or something.". Kyoya pushed up his glasses and continued, "You do carry her pen around everywhere, so it is quite possible that you'd have them. However I'll ask the twins, just for your peace of mind.".
Akuji popped in from the closet, "I think I have them, I had to change earlier today and probably picked them up thinking they were mine. I can give them back to her after we go get food.". Kyoya nodded and went back to his phone as Akuji stepped out of the closet in a white playsuit, green cardigan and platform shoes. Putting on her hat, she looked at the two. Kyoya walked into the closet past her, shutting the door, "I'll get dressed now.". Akuji walked up to Tamaki, who was cuffing his sleeves in the mirror, "Teal jacket for a change? And loose suspenders? Wow, you're really feeling brave today huh?". Tamaki smiled, turning around and placing his hands on her shoulders, "So you noticed! Why yes, I am feeling rather courageous today!". "That's great! I'm glad!", Akuji said, prying his hands off, sitting down in the wheelie chair and spinning around.
"I know right! I think it's the cologne!", Tamaki said, flipping his hair the way a princess would. Akuji smiled until she saw Kyoya step out in a suit, "Why so formal? Aren't we just going out to eat?". "Yes, but I have to maintain my reputation even outside of school, therefore I have to dress accordingly.", Kyoya responded, fixing his tie. Tamaki snickered, sitting in Akuji's lap, propping his feet up and shrugging, "What reputation? You messed that up by breaking the film crews camera.". "I did that for us Tamaki, and fixed that when I had Haruhi, Kaoru and Hikaru chase you down when you tried to leave us. By the way, you still owe me for that."
"You're a man of humor Kyoya, I'll give you that much! Very well then, shouldn't we be going?", Tamaki responded, hopping back up and pulling Akuji with him. Grabbing his phone from the darkly stained dresser, he nodded, "Yes Tamaki, we should.". Akuji grabbed Tamaki and Kyoya's hand, pulling them out of the large room into the hallway, "Well then what are we waiting for!". Kyoya appeared flustered, but Tamaki was enjoying the moment, the feeling of closeness between them when she's only been there for a day.
