All Nightmare Long
Chapter 138
Author's Note: My mother passed away last week, and it's been insane trying to do everything long distance. We were estranged so it made things harder. Now I've got to get Tara and Quinn back to Alexandria, Rick, Jewel and Aaron are out scavenging, Carl into the Sanctuary. Summer is still arguing with me about going, she'll probably win and piss Daryl off. But I kind of need her to take over Hilltop. Sorry Maggie. I had made that decision before you left the show. Please review.
Maggie, Summer, Beth, Jesus, Archie and Sasha's POV:
Sasha looked out the window, watching the savior's load up supplies.
"When I got here, Gregory was already in charge, thought the people chose him for a reason. His brother, Rayna's father, had been in charge before his death. Looking back at it now, I think it just happened," Jesus explained. "I didn't like how he did things, but I couldn't imagine anyone else in his place."
"He made big speeches, about how he could lead just like his brother, we didn't argue. We didn't know any better," Archie explained. "None of us wanted to be leaders, didn't think we could do it."
"He shouldn't be doing it," Summer informed them.
"I think we both agree that we can see someone else in his place now," Jesus responded.
"Who?" Maggie asked.
Jesus gave a small smile. "We'll talk about it sometime," he said as Sasha and Beth smirked and Maggie turned to face him. "I should have talked to Gregory sooner."
"Any of us should have, I should have stood up to him when Negan took my sister," Archie told him. "I think we both know things could have been bloody different if we spoke up."
"I'm sorry, and hopefully you'll let me make it up to you," Jesus told them.
"We will," Maggie said.
"Letting us stay, that's a start," Beth responded.
"The gates are closed," Maggie said as she turned to go.
"They're still loading up outside," Jesus informed her.
"Maggie, you need to wait, if they see you," Summer started to say.
Maggie looked at the other three women. "I'll see you back at the trailer."
"You're not going alone," Beth informed her, as she joined her.
"Will you?" Summer asked Archie as she nodded to the two women who left.
"Already on it," Archie answered moving after them.
Sasha sighed as she turned around and looked outside. "If you want to make it up to us, can you find where Negan lives?"
Summer looked at Sasha and didn't say anything.
"One of the trucks is going back there, so yeah I can do that," Jesus answered.
"I'm going with you," Summer stated.
"No, you aren't. Just like you told Maggie, if they see you, what do you think Negan will do? I'm not going to tell your mom that you did something stupid, so you're staying here," Sasha told her. "Can you keep it between us?" she asked Jesus. "Just Summer, you and me."
"No Maggie or Beth?" Jesus asked.
Sasha shook her head.
"I don't like that," Jesus responded.
"Sasha's right, Maggie can't know, and if we tell Beth, she won't keep it a secret from Maggie," Summer told him.
"I don't like it either," Sasha responded.
Maggie, Enid, Beth and Lexi's POV:
Beth and Maggie walked outside toward the graves, seeing Enid sitting by them and Lexi near her.
"You're here," Maggie said.
Both of the teens looked up and went toward them. "Are you OK?" Enid asked Maggie as she took her hand and Lexi hugged Beth.
"I'm not," Maggie answered before hugging Lexi and going toward the graves seeing the balloons.
"Where's Sasha?" Lexi asked.
"She's inside," Beth answered.
Maggie turned around and looked at the teens and Beth. "But I will be," she said as she hugged Enid then Lexi.
"The baby?" Lexi asked.
"The baby is good," Maggie assured Lexi. "Beth, take her inside to see Sasha. We're going to have to see about some more sleeping arrangements, Jesus' trailer isn't going to hold all of us."
Lexi saw a man standing off to the side. "Um, there's a strange guy watching us. Is he a savior?"
Beth couldn't help but chuckle. "He's definitely strange, but he's not a savior. Come on out and introduce yourself properly and stop scaring the girls."
Archie laughed. "I was giving you lasses some space to reunite," he said.
"This is Enid, and this is Lexi, Sasha's sister," Maggie introduced. "This is Archie. Along with Jesus, he's been very helpful."
"Thank you for taking care of Maggie and Summer," Enid said.
"Is Summer around? Is she OK?" Lexi questioned.
"She's inside with Sasha," Beth said. "Come on let's go see them. Enid you got her? She needs to rest."
"I got her," Enid assured.
"I'll stay out here until they go inside," Archie assured them.
Beth smiled as she took Lexi's shoulders and walked inside with her. "Sasha, look who showed up."
Sasha and Summer both turned and looked. "Lexi, what are you doing here?" Sasha asked as she hugged her sister.
"Enid wanted to come, and I couldn't let her come alone," Lexi answered.
"You two shouldn't have taken the risk, but it's good to see you," Summer said as she hugged her. "If the savior's had seen you," she told the younger girl.
"They didn't, we made sure of it. I had to see Sasha…the savior's showed up yesterday, took most of the mattresses, took more than half of our stuff, and Negan was there, I just had to see Sasha," Lexi explained.
"Hey we're glad you're here," Sasha explained as she hugged her again.
Maggie and Enid POV:
Enid brought food over to Maggie. "People told me that you killed walkers and a car with a tractor."
"I couldn't sit by and watch. Not again," Maggie answered. "I guess I sat and did something."
"You're supposed to take it easy. We're all worried about you," Enid told her.
"It wasn't hard," Maggie answered as she put soup in her bowl. "It wasn't my first time. There was this boy, in high school."
"You ran over the boy?" Enid asked.
"His car," Maggie answered as Enid laughed. "It was a Camero, and then it wasn't."
Enid laughed as they turned their attention to the door opening.
"Enid," Sasha said as she came in with Summer, Beth and Lexi. "Lexi told me she came with you."
"She didn't have to, but I'm glad she did," Enid answered. "I came to help and Lexi wanted to see you. I couldn't have stopped her if I tried, which I did try."
"We all know how stubborn Lexi is, she is your sister Sasha," Beth teased.
"Have some dinner," Enid offered. "We'll need more chairs."
"I can stand," Summer answered.
"Me too. We'll work on the sleeping arrangements," Beth offered.
"I should be getting back to Alexandria, check on everyone," Summer told them.
"Not until you are healed," Maggie said.
"Why are there balloons on Abrahams grave?" Sasha asked.
Lexi and Enid looked at each other. "We thought it was Glenn's," Lexi answered.
"I didn't have the heart to tell you, Glenn would've," Maggie told Enid. "He was a bad liar."
"The worst," Summer said with a small smile.
Enid gave a small laugh then looked at Sasha. "Sorry."
Sasha smiled. "There's no need to be sorry, nothing wrong with balloons."
"We can split them up, both of them deserve balloons," Lexi offered.
"There was nothing marking the graves," Enid explained.
"No, I was going to use this for Glenn's," Maggie said as she looked down at the watch. "It was my dad's, he gave it to him, and I'm giving it to you," she said as she passed it to Enid. "We don't need anything to remember them by, we have us."
The six of them looked at each other before taking each other hands in prayer.
