Cheepskipper was polishing his various metal boats as he occasionally glanced up, to see several construction cranes zipping up the sandy terrain surrounded by the green grass, causing the spiky fish to squint his eyes as he felt annoyed.

"Great. These jokers are still coming." Cheepskipper grumbled as he just shook his head, mad that they were disrupting the peaceful nature of the lake as he noticed the likes of Alex Kidd, B.D. Joe, and Ulala searching for potential boats to use.

"It's for the new mall, isn't it?" Dry Bowser stated as he was inspecting one of the odder boats, one made of paper.

"Yeah. I don't like it." Cheepskipper stated as he turned to Dry Bowser. "I had a feeling that the Krusty Krab coming here to Seaside Hill was the beginning of the end. Old Clawgrip wasn't the same, especially considering he hasn't seen his two crab employees in a while."

"Huh, that is suspicious." Dry Bowser stated while rubbing his boney chin with his right hand. "Perhaps the corporations paying off the construction of this strip mall realized just how much of a popular spot Seaside Hill has been these past years?"

"Yes." Cheepskipper nodded as he used his mouth to tug the rope, pulling a wooden boat closer to the land. "And frankly, I don't like it. Not only is it ruining the atmosphere established by us smaller businesses, I have the hunch that they're not what they seem."

"...I haven't seen Chief Chilly in a while, for that matter." Dry Bowser pointed out as he turned to the west, noticing the sun setting. "Perhaps it's best that I go check up on him."

"You should. And if you're unsuccessful in finding him, then I shall go search the seas for that block o ice." Cheepskipper stated as he headed back to his wooden forefront of his boats business. "I will not willingly go down without a fight."
