I switched up the ending of this chapter from the original because it interferes with what I plan for later. Actual new chapter should be out soon!

"WOOHOO!" Tetra yelled in excitement as she landed on the government ship, ready for a brawl.

"Wait for us, captain!" Her crew called out. Tetra didn't listen, however, unsheathing her blade, a devious grin on her face. Her enemies drew their blades as well, pointing them at her. She simply raised her blade to meet theirs, undeterred.

"You sure you guys wanna do this? Just surrender now and I'll spare you." She spoke arrogantly. The soldiers ignored her threats, however, charging at her head on.

"Oh well, you guys asked for it." She shrugged. A soldier swiped at her, but she simply parried it, slicing the guy across the chest while he was open. The man screamed in pain, and his friends came to avenge him. They attacked at the same time, slicing horizontally. Tetra ducked under the attacks, slicing up her opponents legs as she did so.l. The men screamed and fell to the ground, and the rest of the crew seemed to falter. Tetra looked to the rest of them.

"Is that all you got? Seriously? I must say, I'm disappointed." She said, feigning disappointment.

"Oh, what do you know!" They yelled in unison, charging her all at once. Before they could reach her, however, an explosion sent them hurdling back. Tetra smirked, looking at her crew, who had just joined the battle.

"Took you guys long enough!" She shouted.

"Don't run off without us next time!" Impa, her first mate, yelled. Tetra rolled her eyes, refocusing on the battle. She charged in headfirst, taking down her opponents with ease. So much ease, in fact, that Tetra was bored within the first ten minutes.

'What's with these guys? I've never seen a crew that was so weak!' She thought to herself. She looked to the rest of her crew, who didn't seem to be struggling at all. They even seemed bored as well. She scoffed, having had enough.

'Playtime's over, now it's looting time!' She thought to herself. Another one charged her, but she simply kicked him in the face, bringing her blade up to his neck while he was down.

"Alright, where's your captain?" She demanded. The man seemed reluctant to answer, but when he saw the deadly look she was giving him, he gave in, shakily pointing towards himself.

"I-I'm the c-captain." He stuttered out.

Tetra's eyebrows flew up in shock. "Really!? I've fought cabin boy's tougher than you! How can you be a captain." She insulted him.

"Hey, watch your tongue, wench! I'm a captain under the World Government! I deserve more respect than th-" *WHAM* The captain was knocked out, courtesy of Tetra's foot. She checked him for loot, only to find a ring of keys.

"Bingo! Treasure, here I come!" She said to herself, taking off.

Tetra ran through the depths of the ship, searching for the treasure room. 'C'mon, c'mon, where is it?' She thought to herself, getting impatient. She turned around a corner, only to run into the ship's brig. There was a long row of cells, containing criminals of all shapes and sizes. She looked at all the criminals in the room, then the ring of keys, a devious grin forming on her face.

"Time to stir some chaos." She said to herself. She started unlocking all the cell doors, letting the prisoners run rampant. "Go cause those government dogs some trouble, eh!" she yelled to all of them.

"YEAH!" They yelled in unison, running towards the ship's upper deck.

She returned to searching for the treasure room, but stopped when she saw a flash of green in her peripheral vision. She turned to see a boy in a goofy green hat sleeping all alone in one of the cells. 'Huh, must've forgotten one.' She thought to herself.

"Hey kid." She said, tapping on the prison bars. The boy woke up with a start, almost as if he wasn't able to sleep. He looked at Tetra, then seemed to calm down when he realized she wasn't one of the guards.

"What are you doing sitting there? Don't you want out?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. The boy shook his head, which surprised Tetra. "Why not?"

The boy chuckled, despite himself. "Last time I tried that, it didn't end so well." He said, ominously.

Tetra raised an eyebrow questioningly. "What happened last time?" She asked.

"He happened." The boy said ominously, once again. Tetra sighed, sick of the boy's vague statements.

'I don't have time for this!' She thought. She was about to run off, but something stopped her. She felt a pang of remorse in her chest, and she couldn't move forward anymore. 'Goddamn conscience!' She thought to herself, spinning around to face the boy again.

"Listen, kid, you can do whatever you want, I don't care, but before you go and throw away this golden opportunity, consider that it may be the only chance you get. " She said, throwing something to him. He caught it, seeing that it was a key, he looked back up to her, only to see she was gone.

Tetra searched the entire ship from top to bottom, but no matter where she looked, she couldn't find a lick of treasure. She burst up on deck, clearly frustrated. All the soldiers were apprehended, but she could care less.

"Let's bail, guys! This place sucks! All the crewmen are weak as hell, there's no treasure, and it smells worse than a big octo!" She exclaimed.

"What do we do with all these soldiers and prisoners." Impa asked.

"I don't care, let them work it out themselves." She replied, not even bothering to turn around. The prisoners eyed the soldiers dangerously, causing all of them to gulp.

Tetra hopped back on her ship, quickly followed by her crew. They watched as the prisoners took over the ship and sailed off, satisfied with the events that had unfolded. Tetra, however, was not.

"Urgh! What a useless hunk of junk ship!" She complained, punching the mast in anger.

"Look on the bright side. At least we did some damage to those dogs of the government." Impa said, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Oh yeah, one crappy ship being taken over is really going to put them out of business. I just don't get it! Those ships usually have loads of treasure, why would it be any different this time! And not to mention how weak the security was! I mean, I've fought cabin boys tougher than their captain of all people! It just doesn't make any sense!" Tetra complained, leaning on the ship's rail as she did so. Impa seemed to ponder over her words as they set sail, when her eyes widened.

"What is it, Impa?" Tetra asked, knowing that it must be serious based on her reaction.

"Maybe it was a trap-" "BIG OCTO!" Someone yelled, interrupting Impa in the process. Tetra looked up, to see said creature staring her and her entire crew down. The next few moments felt like they were in slow motion as the octo raised his tentacle in level with the ship.

Tetra finally snapped out of it and reached for her blade, but it was too late. She was snatched up by the beast, unable to do anything about it.

"MISS TETRA!" Her crew yelled in unison. She tried to break free, but the beast wouldn't let go. Her crew started firing at it, but it was all for naught. No matter how much they threw at the beast, it refused to give in. Suddenly, the octo started retreating underwater, and Tetra's eyes widened in fear as she realized the beast was taking her with it. She tried harder and harder to break free of the beast's iron grip, but it was fruitless.

'This can't be how I die! I'm the fierce pirate captain Tetra, yet I'm going to die to a stupid squid!?' She thought.

Suddenly she saw a flash of green in her peripheral vision, and the octo screeched in pain. Tetra fell to the ground with a thud, groaning in pain. When she finally regained her bearings, the first thing she saw was the octo retreating back into the ocean, one of its arms missing.

'How did that happen?' She wondered, but her thoughts were soon cut off by a familiar voice.

"Are you okay?" She heard it ask. She looked towards the origin of the voice, only to be shocked by who she saw.

"Green boy!?" She exclaimed, looking at the boy who she freed only a few moments ago.
