"Are you truly sure you are ready? This will be your toughest Pokémon battle so far. I won't hold back even a tiny bit. You seem to be a very sweet girl, but since you've made it all the way here I assume you to also be a very skilled trainer." says Emily.
"Me and my awesome Pokémon are very ready. I am like daddy. Never givin' up, even if stuff look really bad." says Katy.
"Okay then, young lady. Let's begin." says Emily as she call out hern Charizard and evolve it into Mega Charizard X.
"Cool Pokémon, but me isn'y afraid." says Katy as she call out her Blastoise.
"Blastoise...c'mon!" says Katy.
Blastoise mega-evolve, becoming Mega Blastoise.
"So you also have a Mega Kanto starter. I'll still win though. Charizard, use Dragon Pulse." says Emily.
"Hyper Beam!" says Katy.
The 2 powerful attacks hit each other mid-air.
None of the Pokémon takes any damage.
"You're not too bad." says Emily.
"Cute! Thanks, lady." says Katy.
"Charizard, attack again!" says Emily.
"No...Blastoise, defend yourself." says Katy.
Blastoise take the hit easy, no problem, having high defense stats.
"I must say that you've trained that thing well, girl." says Emily.
"Awww! Thanks." says Katy.
"You're welcome. Unfortunately I mus defeat you." says Emily.
"Blastoise, Hyper Beam!" says Katy.
Mega Charizard X is able to avoid the attack.
It strike back with Draco Meteor.
Blastoise is knocked out.
"My Blastoise..." says Katy.
"C'mon, everybody lose sometimes. Even I." says Emily.
Katy switch to her Talonflame.
"Talonflame, Brave Bird now!" says Katy.
The might bird of fire attack and does a lot of damage to Emily's Charizard.
"I think I need to bring this up a level. Charizard, attack." says Emily.
Charizard use Outrage and knock out Talonflame.
Katy try to not cry.
She love all her Pokémon and hate seeing them hurt.
She switch to her Gengar.
"Gengar, use the same trick we used against Marcus Aeyola." says Katy.
"Your Ghost type cannot win. Charizard, Draco Meteor." says Emily.
Mega Charizard X use Draco Meteor and knocks out Gengar, but Emily is surprised when her Mega Charizard X also faint.
It turns out that Gengar used Destiny Bond and since Katy's Gengar has Prankster as its Ability it can always use Destiny Bond with priority.
"Yay!" says Katy, happy that her strategy worked.
"Not bad, but since your Gegnar went down as well you cannot use that trick a second time. Go...Alakazam!" says Emily as she call out her shiny Alakazam.
"Pika...piiii!" says Katy's Pikachu as it jump out onto the field before Katy can order it to do so.
"Awwww!" says Katy, happy that her starter is so loyal to her that it wanna fight for her out of its free will, despite having low chances of a victory.
Pikachu use Thunder, doing a huge amount of damage to Alakzam, but suddenly Alakazam glow and get all its HP back.
It used Recover.
Pikachu attack again and this time Alakazam use Protect.
Alakazam then strike back with Psycho Cut.
"No!" says Katy when her Pikachu is almost knocked out.
"Okay. Alakazam, finish off the little electric mouse." says Emily.
"No way! Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!" says Katy.
Pikachu use Volt Tackle, but Alakazam avoid it.
"I know. Dad taught me this." says Katy as she open her bag and grab something.
She throw the item to her Pikachu.
Pikachu attack again...with the move Catastropika.
The item Katy threw to Pikachu was a Z-Crystal, a Pikanium Z.
Alakazam is knocked out.
"What...?" says Emily surprised.
Emily has heard about Z-moves, but never seen one before.
"It's the Z-move Catastropika. Every Pikachu's favorite." says Katy.
"Sure did not expect that, but I won't lose." says Emily as she switch to her Luxray.
"Oh..." says Katy.
"I'll win this." says Emily as she call out her Incineroar.
Incineroar use Darkest Lariat.
"No, no, no!" says Katy when her beloved Pikachu, her favorite Pokémon, get knocked out.
She call out her Clefable instead.
Emily gasp in surprise, thinking that Katy didn't have a Fairy type.
Clefable use Dazzling Gleam, bringing down Incineroar's HP to half.
"No..." mumbles Emily, who was sure that Incineroar would bring her a solid victory.
"Yay!" says Katy.
Clefable attack again and knocks out Incineroar.
20 minutes later, Katy has won with her final Pokémon barely standing still, with only 11 HP left.
It was a very close match.
"Congratulations, young lady. You beat me." says Emily with a sweet smile.
"Thanks, madame." says Katy.
"Follow me." says Emily.
Katy and Emily walk into the Hall of Fame.
"Here we record you and your Pokémon in grand honor for all eternity." says Emily.
Katy put her 6 balls into the machine and on the big fancy screen a 3D image of Katy and her team of 6 Pokémon appear.
"You won fair and square. Now you're the Kalos Champion, here, girl." says Emily as she hand the championship trophy to Katy.
"Awww! Thank you so much!" says a very happy Katy.
