All Nightmare Long
Chapter 545
Author's Note: I need to check in with the Kingdom. Though they aren't going to Alexandria, Alexandria will be coming to them. I have never watched Games of Thrones (yes, shock I know) but I have a feeling Arya was a little hellion, so that's kind of how Tory is. Review please.
The Kingdom:
Ezekiel walked up to Ben and Morgan, followed by a few members of the Hilltop. "Gentlemen, come with us," Ezekiel ordered. "Both of you. We have matters of import to attend too."
"Bring your gun Morgan," Richard told him.
Both of them looked at each other as they got up and walked to the waiting cars. "We going to meet them?" Ben asked Tory as she leaned on the side of the truck.
"Who else would we be sneaking out to meet?" Tory asked as she got in the truck with Drake. They followed the other trucks out to a nearly deserted parking lot.
"Stay close," Drake ordered his sister.
"Not the first time I've done this, maybe you should tell Morgan and Ben to stay close," Tory mumbled.
"I heard that, and that's what will get you killed, that mouth and that attitude. You stay close or there will not be a next time," Drake warned his younger sister as he took her elbow and placed her by him.
The king walked over to the dead pigs. "The swine are slaughtered far from the Kingdom, thus there screams carry in the wind and invite questions. What we are doing here, is a secret I keep from my people. Some see secrets as a privilege of ruling, they are burdens, not part of the reward. They are the cost," Ezekiel said as they all turned their attention to the truck pulling up. "Do as your brother says, Victoria, stay close to him," he told her as he walked closer to her.
"It's Tory," she corrected as she watched the men get out of the trucks.
The men walked up to the King and his people. "And here I thought we were early," one of the savior's said.
"Our arrangement is something that I consider with the uptmost seriousness," Ezekiel answered. "We will fill our obligations on time, every time."
"Yes indeedy you do, and you will," Gavin answered. He walked over to the truck. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. I count 8 that's good. They look bigger than last time, that's good too."
"They were well fed, I made sure of it," Richard answered.
"We appreciate the hospitality," Gavin responded. "Lucky for us we brought two trucks. How about you help us load them up?"
"They're part of another group, call themselves," Dianne told Morgan.
"I know who they are," Morgan said.
"Stay by Dianne, don't move," Drake told her as he nodded toward Dianne. Dianne nodded as they shared a glance as Drake moved to help move the pigs.
"He's just doing it to protect you," Morgan said as he looked at her. "Back home, I have a little girl whose brother died and he left her in my care. She's being looked after by friends. That's what big brothers do, they make sure there little sisters are looked out for, no matter how old they get."
Tory rolled her eyes as one of the savior's leaned on the truck and looked at Richard.
"Hey asshole, how about a smile? This, this is nothing, we've been letting you off easy," Jared said.
Richard walked up to him. "You sure you don't have that backwards kid?"
Jared laughed. "Yeah I'm sure," he said as he turned around then back before trying to hit Richard, both going to the ground and both sides taking out there weapons and pointing them at each other.
"Cease this," Ezekiel ordered as Morgan looked at his gun and lowered it. "Lower your weapons," he insisted. "Richard, let him go. This is not what we do," he told the group.
"Free shots?" Jared asked with a grin. He bounced up and down before bringing his fist back. "I love this shit," he said as he punched Richard. He then went and hit him again.
"Gavin tell your man to stop," the King ordered.
Drake started to move before Dianne grabbed his arm shaking her head.
"Gavin!" The King yelled again as Richard was on the ground.
"Jared the king said stop, he's been good to us. We've taken up more of enough of his time," Gavin told Jared.
Jared held his fist above Richard's face and turned it around giving him the finger before getting up.
Drake walked over to Richard and bent down. "You're going to do this crap with my little sister here? It could have turned into a blood bath."
"Do not fret Drake, we will discuss this later Richard," he said as he held out his hand.
"Same time next week, it's produce week, so produce," Gavin said. "You have the list, not one bit less. Otherwise, you know he's going to have to go first," he said as he looked at Richard.
They watched as the trucks moved away. "You've encountered them before?" Ezekiel asked Morgan.
"They're group, yeah," Morgan answered.
"The man you killed to save Carol? He was one of them as well?" The King questioned.
"He was yeah. Is that why you wanted me here?" Morgan asked. "Because I can do it again if I had to."
"No Morgan, quite the opposite in fact," Ezekiel said as he walked away.
"It's best not try to guess what he means half the time, it'll drive you crazy," Tory said as she got in the car.
Summer and Beth's POV:
Summer glanced over at the graves, to where Maggie was sitting. "I think we should start teaching people how to fight, at least defend themselves."
"You think Gregory would even go for it?" Beth asked.
"It shouldn't be up to him, it never should have. These people need to learn to fight, just like Alexandria did. Deanna wasn't a coward, Gregory is. Deanna went out fighting, Gregory peeked out the window like a scared little school girl. Only two of their own people came out to help, the rest of them stayed inside. Maggie gave orders to Kal to lock the gate. Maybe it's good that the prison and the farm fell, because if staying behind gates makes people like this, I don't want any part of it," Summer said frustrated.
Beth went and hugged Summer, it being the only thing she could do. "I'm going to go help Sasha, you going to be alright?"
"Not for a very long time," Summer said as she walked away, as Maggie went up to the gate tower.
