Chapter Two - Unfair Games

"Lover boy is staring at you' Katie slurred as she plonked herself down on the floor next to Elizabeth.

'Pff, you stink of beer. How much have you had since you've been here!' Elizabeth shook her head, half concerned have laughing at her friend. They hadn't been at the party long and she already appeared far more drunk than when they arrived. Elizabeth dismissed what she said but didn't completely forget and after a few moments she looked across the room to the other side of the circle formed by everyone and true to Katies word, Henry was looking over at her.

'Told you' Katie giggled as she caught her looking. Elizabeth instantly looked away and shook her head. She looked over to one of the boys as they placed the empty wine bottle in the middle of the circle,

'Right, who's ready for spin the bottttllleee' he egged everyone on and most people began to cheer and clap with excitement, like some children in a toy store, Elizabeth however rolled her eyes, this wasn't her idea of fun at all.

'Ok Rules are simple. Spin the bottle, whoever it lands on you have to either kiss or you have to forfeit'

'How is that fair? There are more girls than boys at this party, so for the majority of the night you lot are going to watch us make out with one another' Katie laughed and James nudged her playfully. Elizabeth sighed

'Ohh Adams doesn't seem impressed, well just for that, you're up first' they laughed and she faked a smile as she leant into the middle of the circle, her hand grasping the bottle and spinning it fast. Watching as it span and span eventually slowing and falling on Matthew, one of the ROTC boys. Matthew smirked and winked much to Elizabeths annoyance but not wanting to look a fool she crawled over to him and knelt before him leaning in for a kiss.

Henrys looked away, jealously rose within him as he watched her hands upon another mans face, her lips tasting lips that were not his. His mind drifted back to the first moment he met her, wishing he played it cool because if he did, she might just be kissing him like that….

Three weeks ago…

Henry staggered through the park. It was late into the evening and pitch black, that paired with drunken eyes made it almost impossible for Henry to walk home. He swayed as his feet shuffled along the floor, a swift breezing passing him by, almost like someone running fast past him. He continued down the path and accidentally stumbled causing him to fall flat on his face.

'Ouch' he yelped, he rolled over and giggled at himself slightly as the alcohol kicked in, he raised a hand to his head and groaned as he felt a dampness where his face collided with the floor. His eyes squinted shut as a bright light suddenly appeared in his face.

'Are you ok?' A woman asked but Henry just groaned and turned from the light

'Can you turn that down' he moaned. She realised she was shining it right in his eyes so lowered the light and bent down to his level

'You're bleeding, are you ok?' Her voice soft as Henry looked at her, elements of her frame glowing under the light, he was instantly intrigued.

'Bit drunk' he laughed and tried to stand back up, his legs wobbled and he stumbled. The woman instantly stood and caught him, her arm wrapping around his back as she steadied him back to his feet.

'Woah there, steady' once she was certain he could maintain his balance she let go. 'I think you need to get home, where do you live?'

'Is that a chat up line?' He teased. Elizabeth sighs and rolled her eyes

'I am trying to be kind, where do you live?' She asked again with a little more firmness. Henry bit his lip, he hadn't even seen this woman properly but he was drawn to her, her voice was enticing and he was ready to hear more.

'Just over there, in the campus' he pointed to the left. Elizabeth laughed and repositioned his pointing finger so it was facing to the right of them,

'You mean over there' she giggled softly and that was it for Henry. He was captivated. Is it was daylight he'd be sure you'd see love hearts forming in his eyes as he continued to stare at the woman before him.

'Im Henry' he smiled as he began to slowly walk toward his campus, as his one foot hit the ground he stumbled slightly, prompting her to put her arm around his waist and walk him home holding him up.

'I'm Elizabeth' she replied. 'You should probably get that checked out' she commented but Henry brushed the comment aside.

'I just need to sleep this off, I have an exam in the morning'

'Ohhh a pre exam drink that got out of hand' she raised an eyebrow at him

'I feel like you're mocking me but its too dark to see' he moaned and she laughed once again, her laugh warmed his entire being, who is this woman? He thought to himself.

Elizabeth helped walked him to his apartment and once the street lights illuminated their way Henry couldn't help but swoon a little more over Elizabeth, she was breathtakingly beautiful. He couldn't help but stare at her as she stood in front of him. Elizabeth dipped her head as her cheeks blushed, she had never had anyone stare at her the way Henry did before.

'Sorry I didn't mean to stare, I know you don't i?' he cleared hi throat and she looked back up too him

'no no its fine, yes I think so. My friend and I sit on the bench where you guys train often, anyway…You should urm…you should get that looked at, its bleeding' she reached up to move some of his hair from the blood which was situated on his forehead, her body leaning closer to his as she had to raise onto her tip toes. Her breath hitched as the mixed smell of beer and his aftershave hit her senses. Her eyes moved down his body, his bulging biceps perfectly sculpted, tanned and hidden behind his tight white t-shirt. She rolled her lips between her teeth as she stepped back away from him.

'You're so beautiful Elizabeth' he tells her, she dipped her head once again, she hadn't been called beautiful by someone who wasn't a friend or family member before, not even her previous boyfriends. 'Is It wrong that I want you?' He whispered huskily. She looked up a little shocked as he caught her off guard, his eyes yearning with lust as he looked down at her, she panted slightly as her core pulled tighter.

'I think that's the alcohol talking' she half laughed and dismissed is comment. He reached for her hand and a fire ripped through his body, she was the one for him, he could feel it. Elizabeths breathing was shallow and raspy as her own desires began to build within her.

'I want you' he panted deeply, the urgency drawing her body closer but her mind stopping her.

'You're drunk, I don't want to take advantage of that. Do you have a phone?' She asked, she didn't know what was happening, she was never this forward, but something coiled deep inside her which she couldn't control, nor did she want to. She watched as Henry fiddled in his pockets for his phone and handed it to her, she smiled and tapped in her number, 'Here, call me when you're sober. Maybe we can do this properly' she winked 'Oh and get that checked out' she called from behind her as she walked off into the distance…

Elizabeth sat back down in the circle next to Katie and instantly looked over the Henry, a sheepish look on her face, almost like she had done something wrong, she hated the fact she still wanted more from him, despite the fact he clearly didn't, especially since he never called her back, but then after their recent coffee date, she couldn't blame him for not calling her back…

AN: Please please please I beg you, just wait until its finished before you all comment on how phones were only just coming out when they were younger.
