All Nightmare Long

Chapter 559

Author's Note: Isolation means more story for you. I think we should get Daryl to Hilltop before we have a family meeting. It'll be our first one without Glenn, and that makes me sad. Plus, team family is split up and they need to get back together and fight! Please review.

Summer and Sasha's POV:

Summer came outside and sat on the steps of Jesus's trailer sitting next to Sasha. "What's the plan when Jesus gets back? Our plan to get Negan?"

Sasha looked at her. "What do you mean our plan?"

"Exactly what I said, our plan. You don't think that you were going to do this, alone did you? That I would allow you to do this alone do you?" Summer questioned.

"I don't want your help," Sasha told her.

"To bad, you've got it weather you want it or not. I can't let you do this alone; I won't let you do this alone. Neither will Enid or Lexi, even if you don't want there help," Summer told her.

"They talked with you?" Sasha questioned.

"Lexi did. She's afraid that this is like when Bob and Ty died, that you're going to cut yourself off. But I don't think you're going to cut yourself off, not this time. It's different," Summer told her friend.

Sasha looked at her. "How?" she questioned.

"Because we are have a living, breathing enemy that we can fight," Summer answered. "A man, not walkers'. Ty and Bob both were bit, something that we all risk every time we leave the house or go outside. It's like what Hershel said at the prison, we risk our lives by stepping outside and by breathing. But, we are ready for those risks, we fight those risks every day. But a man with a named baseball bat, not a man really, a monster. That's how I know this is different, because I want to kill Negan, I want to watch the life drain from his eyes. Walkers' are always going to be there, but there's only one Negan," she told her. "So, you aren't the only one who wants revenge."

Sasha nodded as Lexi ran up to them. "Summer, you've got to come up to the gate, now," Lexi told her.

Sasha stood up. "Lexi, what's going on?"

"Jesus is back, and he brought someone with him," Lexi answered with a smile.

"Who?" both Summer and Lexi questioned.

"Just come on, you're going to have to see it to believe it," Lexi said as she grabbed Summer's hand.

Summer exchanged glances with Sasha as Lexi pulled her forward. "See," she said as she stopped seeing Jesus standing out to the side, giving Beth and Maggie a hug.

"Uncle Daryl!" Summer said as she started to run forward.

Daryl moved away from Maggie and Beth, letting Summer engulf him in a hug.

"Are you OK? How? Jesus thank you," Summer said as she was crying.

"It wasn't me; it was all him," Jesus responded.

"I'm OK," Daryl assured her as he kissed the top of her head. "I'm OK. You? Your hand?"

"I'm good," Summer assured him. "Maggie is good too; we're going to be staying here for Maggie and the baby. But first you need a shower, and food. You can take one at the main house, and I'll deal with Gregory," she said as hugged him.

Jewel and Rosita's POV:

Jewel sat down on the porch next to Rosita. "We're having a family meeting," she said as she sat down.

"You sure you want me there?" Rosita questioned.

"Of course, I want you there, why wouldn't I? Your family," Jewel stated. "You made a mistake with the gun and the bullet, and if you were a teenager, I'd give you a lecture, maybe ground you. But you are an adult, and you know you made a mistake. But mistakes don't mean you get to stop being family. God if that was a rule, I would have never given Merle a chance again. And, Summer would have asked for a new mom long ago, if that was a rule."

"I can't forgive myself, he asked me not to make him make the bullet," Rosita admitted.

"Then don't forgive yourself, be angry with yourself. But use that anger to help us fight Negan," Jewel stated.

Rosita looked at her. "Rick agreed to fight?"

"He needed time," Jewel said. "He's ready, but he needs everyone he can get. We need everyone we can get."

"How are we going to fight without guns?" Rosita asked.

"We'll figure it out," Jewel assured her. "First step, family meeting, second step Hilltop, then we go from there. We have two family members that Negan has, and we need to get them out."

"Quinn needs to be there, she needs a chance to decide to fight if she wants," Rosita told her.

Jewel nodded. "I know, I was thinking that too. I was heading over to her house next, you should come with me."

"Why?" Rosita questioned.

"Because I think she needs all the family she can get right now, don't you?" Jewel asked.

Rosita looked at her. "Do you think I'm the right person to be talking to her?"

"You wouldn't be on your own, I'll be right there with you. You cared for Spencer, more than I did. I think it would be better if I didn't go by myself," Jewel told her as she stood up. "And you did say she needed to be there, so she needs to hear it from you."

Jewel knocked on the door, with Rosita standing next to her.

Gus opened the door. "This isn't a good time," he answered.

"We can understand that, we do," Jewel told him. "And, we can't say how sorry we are for what happened today. But we need to talk to Quinn, it's important."

"Let them in," Quinn answered from the living room.

Gus opened the door wider and let them in. "Do you need anything?" he asked Quinn.

"No," Quinn answered as she sat on the couch. "What do you need to talk to me about?" she asked.

"We're having a family meeting, and you're invited," Jewel stated.

"Why? I'm not part of the family," Quinn answered.

Jewel started to say something before Rosita sat on the edge of the end table. "I wasn't family, until I wasn't. You weren't but you are now. Glenn told me once that I was stuck with him, so now you're stuck with us. We're going to fight Negan, and we want you there."

Jewel nodded. "We figured that you have as much to fight for as we do," she stated. "Even more so."

"He smiled as he stuck the knife in Spencer, then he asked who wanted to finish the pool game," Quinn said.

"He smiled as he killed Abraham and Glenn," Rosita said.

"Are you in?" Jewel asked.

Quinn stood up. "I'm in."
