It has been two years since the fourth shinobi war Sasuke Uchiha has not returned home. Tsunade is still Hokage and all the lands for once in a very long time were at peace with one another. Team 7 still mourns the fact that they could not bring their friend home and still hold hope that one day they will.
Sakura walked into the kitchen to see her little sister, Rose, with her head down on the table like she was killed there. Her mother was cooking and humming a tune, while her father was nowhere in sight. She walked over and sat diagonal from her sister paying no attention to her. Like every time she saw her. Her mother put an omelet in front of her. Sakura looked up at her mom who was smiling down at her.
"Ohiyo Sakura-chan." Her mother said with a song in her voice. Her mom was always so bubbly Sakura didn't know how a woman could be so sweet. Then again she did own a sweet shop, maybe it just came with the territory. She thanked her mother and began to eat the oddly sweet breakfast her mother had made her. Sakura heard someone heading towards the kitchen and looked to the door, there stood her father rubbing his eyes. He was a mess, his hair was tousled everywhere, a barely there shadow on his cheeks, he obviously just woke up.
"Ohiyo sweetie" Sakura's mom went to him and lightly kissed his cheek then went back to the stove.
"Ohiyo'' Her father grumbled while yawning and stretching. He went and sat down by Rose and dropped his head on the table just like she did. Sakura didn't like her sister, and on more than one occasion questioned her mom about her actually being related to her. She would tell her mom her eyes weren't like hers or their dads so clearly she wasn't their sister and some girl they just picked up off the street. But in moments like this She could not deny that Rose was definitely their father's daughter; they were way too much alike to be anything else. Plus the pink hair they all shared showed their mothers heritage so sadly there was no denying their genetics. Sakura's mom sat right by her and they continued their morning. Only Sakura and her mom talked, Rose and her dad were asleep on the table.
Sakura could not help but admire her mothers beauty. Sakura actually looked allot like her mother but still felt she wasnt as beaufitul. Her mothers Jade green eyes always were alight with happiness and joy. Her soft pink hair that she wore down in a middle part, just like Sakura did, went down to hips in a straight yet slightly poofy way. Her mother way tall too, she had to be 5'9. But what really made Sakura envious was the vulopous curvers her mother and sisters had. Sakura was not blessed with the perfect hourglass figure like her mother and sisters. She got her fathers genes.
Her mother use to tell her that her fathers sister was actaully one of the most beautiful women that ever walked this earth. Her dad never told stories of his family though, but he did comfrim that she was built like the females from his side of the family. It would be easier to except if she knew that side of the family but according to her parents all of their family died 19 years ago when the Nine-Tails attacked the Village. Sakura always wanted to look more into it but always decided agianist it. Her parents were people she could trust. She knew they would never life to her.
"It's almost July…" Sakura said with a sad smile. No one had to guess why she said it; they all already knew. Sasuke's birthday was in July. She missed him, bad and it bugged everyone. Well mainly Rose she couldn't understand why her sister loved that guy so much. He never looked at her as anything more than a teammate, called her annoying, which she was, and then left without a care. Yet she still loved him! What the hell is she obsessed?! Yes, yes she was. Sakura has been all over Sasuke ever since she was little and it bugged Rose. She didn't like the boy she had only ever met him twice and she knew he didn't know who she was. She only remembered the first time they met because that day was also the day Sakura threatened she would pull all her hair out and bite her ears off if she ever touched the Uchiha, he was hers and hers only. Well in her mind anyway.
Rose stood up. She didn't want to be here when Sakura started crying about how much she missed him and how she wished she could have brought him back two years ago but he was gone and blah blah blah, it got real old real fast. She gave serious props to their mother for being able to handle her. She would always sit and listen and validate her feelings, which gave her the confidence to tell Rose off because she could never understand the pain she was in. If only she knew a quarter of what Rose dealt with on a daily it might change her stance. But that was both wishful thinking and mean thoughts. She wouldn't wish her life on her sister no matter how annoying and ungrateful she was.
She kept her head down and thanked her mother for breakfast and patted her father on the head, it was her way of saying bye. She threw on her sandals and headed out the door to go on a walk. She had an S rank mission to go on starting tomorrow so she should be getting prepared, but she didn't want to. She wanted to relax and enjoy the nice sunny day, it was rare for her to be able to just mindlessly wander and enjoy the weather. She was walking down the street not too far from her house when she saw a crowd of people forming and whispering.
The hell is going on? She wondered as she slightly leaned toward the crowd to try and hear what they were talking about. She heard footsteps behind her. They were light, but the shoes were heavy. She could also smell the faint smell of lavender.
Nana...She thought.
Nana is her best friend, well actually more like her only friend. Rose was too busy and always gone for friends, but Nana was different. She didn't care how long she was gone, she always greeted her like she had just seen her a day ago. She had similar interests and even better, Nana wasn't a shinobi so she talked to her like she was a normal eighteen year old girl and not like one of the top ANBU of the village. It was the greatest friendship Rose could have ever wished for.
"The Kazekage is coming into town today" Her soft voice flowed on the wind almost like a whisper. She was naturally very quiet, if Rose wasn't trained she probably wouldn't have heard her walking up behind her.
"Oh yeah" Rose said absently, she had heard he was coming but had honestly forgotten. She didn't really care though, but being at her rank she should care, but she really didn't. She turned to look at Nana. Nana and the current Kazekage did not get along, not that he remembered her, but she knew Nana could never forget him.
"How are you an ANBU again?" Nana asked with a light laugh in her voice. Rose couldn't help but smile at the question she so frequently asked her.
"I honestly have no idea, I think the people who pick ANBU just get drunk and throw darts at a board of random names." She responded while laughing at her own joke. She always had a different comeback for the question. Each one a light underhanded insult to those above her.
Rose stopped laughing as she examined her friend. Nana and her were the same height and loved big baggy clothing but those would probably be the only similarities they shared. Nana was a bit of a unique thing. She was from the main family of Hyuuga, a reason why she tries to hide behind sunglasses and hats.. Rose knew behind those huge round sunglasses were the pure white eyes of the Hyuuga clan. Nana may not be a shinobi but her family comes from a long line of them so she was trained lightly as a child but she dropped out of the academy after a tragic incident involving her mother. A small smile played on her lips, but Rose could tell she was not happy with the news of the Kazekage.
"You okay?" Rose asked with genuine concern for her friend. Nana was more of a sister to her then her own.
"Yeah just probably going to go hide where no one can find me for a few days." Nana said as absent of emotion as she could.
Rose could not blame her, with the Kazekage in town she was probably not even happy about being out and about. Even if it's a small chance, running into Gaara of the Dessert would break Nana. Rose looked at her friend wanting to try and see past her mask of hiding her emotions. She knew that Nana wouldn't show her though. She is a Hyuuga, and they are masters at hiding their emotions. Rose eventually gave up trying and sighed playfully at her friend.
"Can I come with you? I have a mission tomorrow that I really don't wanna do."
"Alright come on I know this great spot." Nana said laughing and pointing towards the training grounds. Rose and her walked and talked about a lot of random things: books, music, food, simple things. Then they got on their favorite topic, erotic novels.
"I can't believe he did that! The plot twist at the end, and the thing with the rope and clips was ``hoo dam" Rose said loud and with such humor in her voice Nana couldn't help but laugh out were talking about their favorite adult book series as they walked towards their hiding spot. They were so caught up in their conversation that when they turned a corner they did not see someone else walking and Nana ran right into them. Nana fell with a thud and landed on her bottom while the guy she ran into seemed perfectly fine. Rose looked at Nana to see if she was okay. She was about to burst out laughing then she saw who the guy Nana ran into was.
Oh no...was all Roses mind could think of.
"Are you okay?" The man's words were calm and held some care but not much. The voice was also deep and dare Nana think it, sexy. Nana looked up at the guy about to yell at him then she felt her voice get stuck in her throat as she looked at the man. It was him. Gaara of the Desert, the Kazekage. She felt her chest tighten as emotions swarmed through her. Memories of a time she wished she could forget played through over and over in her head. Her body began to shake as her emotions kept changing, fear, anger, pain. She couldn't concentrate on anything but then her mind started to repeat one thing: Run, run now or he will kill you! Just like he killed your mother...
Gaara was confused and slightly worried about the girl in front of him. Her eyes were hidden behind her sunglasses, but he knew by her body language what she was feeling, He had seen many people act like this. It has been many years since someone showed such fear of him. And he knew she didn't fear the title he held but him himself. Her body began shaking and that's when he felt his worry grow for her. This was no ordinary fear, this was fear for one's life. His heart felt a familiar ache as he watched her friend kneel down beside her before the girl got up and ran away.
Rose watched her friend run off and was about to run after her until she looked back at the Kazekage. She saw the confusion on his and his siblings faces, but in his eyes she saw it, pain. Seeing Nana run off like that hurt him. Did he remember her? Or was that just because she ran? Either way she didn't have time to care she needed to make sure her friend was alright.
Rose bowed to the Kazekage and ran off after her friend. She didn't say anything. She didn't feel she needed to. She might get yelled at for it later but she didn't care. She knew where Nana was running to and starting heading in the direction. Rose ran to Hyuuga estate and went right in like she lived there. She ran past the servants and followed the path to the gardens. She started to walk once she got closer to the edge of the gardens, she could see a huge weeping willow in the distance. As she got closer she could see the two graves, and Nana. She was curled up under the tree hugging her knees, seeing him had brought back awful memories. She walked over to the tree and sat by Nana. The instant she sat down Nana threw herself on her lap and started to cry. Rose sat there not fully knowing how to comfort her friend. Her mother used to hold her when she cried and sing to her to try and help her through her pain. Rose wasn't sure it would work, but she did know she wanted to help her friend. She took off Nana's hat and started to run her fingers through her hair. She began to sing her mothers lullaby. She hoped it helped, even if it was only a little bit.
Rose sat with Nana until she had cried herself to sleep. She then just let her sleep. She saw no need in waking her up. She sat with her back to the tree as she looked at the sky. The sun was beginning to set. She had been here for some time. About three hours if she were to guess. She needed to head home to get ready for tomorrow's mission. She looked down at Nana, her eyes were still puffy from crying and her hair was fingered brushed off to the side. Rose didn't want to wake her but she knew she needed to. Rose shook her gently and whispered:
"Hey, I don't want to wake you but I sadly have to go." Rose watched Nana stir then wake up in a jolt.
"Sorry..." Nana whispered as she rubbed her eyes and stretched out.
"It's okay what are friends for?"
"Trading adult novels with?"
Rose laughed at that as she stood up. She loved Nana. She stretched hearing her back crack a little. She then stared at her Blankley.
"Why was I getting up again?"
Nana raised an eyebrow at her and smiled.
"You have a mission tomorrow." She said it very matter of factly.
Rose cursed out loud causing Nana to laugh.
"Thanks Nana take care! I'll be back soon!" Rose yelled as she ran off. As she left the estate she saw the Kazekage and his siblings walking towards her on the street. She ran past them cruisouly. As she past them she looked behind her and saw they were heading to the Hyuuga Estate. She felt herself swallow a knot in her throat as she sent a silent prayer,
Please, don't hurt her again...
When Rose got home she went straight to her room. When she walked by Sakura's room she could hear her crying. She stopped, she wanted to go in there, to help her sister. But the last time she tried that Sakura just yelled at her. Saying she didn't understand love and could never relate to what she was going through. If only she knew. Rose looked at the ground and sighed, then she walked over to her room for the night, she was going to have a long day tomorrow.
Sasuke sat under the starry sky. He was looking up at the stars deep in thought. It had been two years since the war and his last fight with Naruto. His body was badly damaged due to the Kyuubis chakra. He closed his eyes and remembered the battle that happened two years ago.
Sasuke was beneath Naruto, his hand was over Naruto heart while Naruto's hand was over his. They had used Chidori and Rasengan on each other right where they knew it would kill the other. They both sat like that, their bodies beaten and broken. Naruto's blue eyes were looking into Sasuke's crimson ones. Naruto spat up blood then fell over onto Sasuke's side as Sasuke's hand fell alongside him. He was sure he was going to die then and he was okay with that. To die in battle was an honorable way to die. As he stared up at the clear blue sky he thought of all he had learned. Everything that had led him to this moment. His hatred of those who destroyed his family. Then his thoughts went to Zero. The only man that he could say he never hated. Zero's last words were deep in his mind.
"It won't make you happy….No one is going to hate you more then you will hate yourself when this is all over" How right he was. But how did he know? How would this man who supposedly knew nothing be so right in his final words? He couldn't help but chuckle, or at least what passed for a chuckle in his state. There was far more to Zero then he had known. If only he could have. What would have happened if he had stayed in the Hidden Leaf Village? He remembered their deal when he was but a small child.
I never did get to meet his youngest...Sasuke thought as the world started to slip away into darkness.
Sasuke's black world came back to life with a vengeance when he felt someone's hand on him. He looked up and saw a Hidden Leaf ANBU looking down on him. They had a hood up over their head so you couldn't see their hair and wore a cat mask. He couldn't make out much more than that. He expected the ANBU to kill him then and there, or at least help Naruto, but they didn't do either of those things. Instead the ANBU leaned down and picked him up, so one of his arms was over their shoulders, and one of their arms was around his waist. They were way smaller than him so it was awkward for him but they seemed to take his weight just fine. They moved him to a more covered area behind many bushes. Sasuke was so out of strength he couldn't move. But he was confused why was this ANBU moving him? Were they going to take him prisoner? Like hell he would let that happen. He tried to fuss but the ANBU just hid them out of sight of Naruto and put a finger to the lips on its mask. Sasuke was about to try and insult the ANBU when he heard voices.
"NARUTO!" Sasuke heard a familiar scream, he looked back to Naruto and saw Sakura running towards Naruto to heal him. Behind her were more hidden leaf shinobi. He looked over at the ANBU, they just sat there quietly then they started to turn away from the group of shinobi. They walked for what felt like longer than it probably was to Sasuke. He had forced himself to stay awake the entire time. He had to stay awake, he had to know where the ANBU was taking him and why they had helped him escape? After a while while walking with the ANBU he tried to move the arm over their shoulder to see if he had any energy to fight them off.
The most I can move is my hands...Dammit I'm not going to be able to escape them at this rate. He cursed mentally at how weak he was. He moved his hand a bit more and he felt something both soft and rough. He figured he grabbed their armour. Before he could do anything though the ANBU threw him on the ground.
Pain racked Sasuke's body as he let out a gasp in pain. He tried to move but his body hurt too much. He tried to focus on the ANBU he didn't need to look far; the cat mask ANBU was kneeled beside him in a heartbeat.
"Shit, shit, shit, are you okay? Fuck I didnt mean to throw you that hard Im so sorry!" He heard the soft femmine voice from above him say. He was confused, why was she apologizing? As he looked at the ANBU he could actually see her now that he was looking at more than just the top of her head. She had a corset on that showed her hourglass figure beautifully beneath the corset was a black tank top that he could only see the straps. She wore her fingerless gloves that went almost to her shoulders, they looked like disconnected sleeves. He looked up at the masked women,
"Why did you...throw me?" He tried to hide all hints of pain in his voice but the gasp of pain between his words gave him away. He watched the cat masked ANBU just tilt her head before looking at the ground, and shuffling in place for a minute, like they were embarrassed.
"You..You're the one who got grabby!" She raised her voice at him, he got the impression she was embarrassed. He sat there wondering what she meant before it hit him. His eyes went straight to her chest. He must have grabbed her breast while he was trying to move his hands around. The rough part was probably the corset while the soft part was the upper part of her breast. Well at least now he knew why he got thrown. He tried to sit up but the pain racked him again. He damn near passed out from it. His chest felt like it was being ripped open by a dull blade.
"Don't move too much," The ANBU said, with what he thought was concern in her voice, as she picked him up again and began to carry him away deeper into the forest. Sasuke was in too much pain to talk. He closed his eyes as they walked and smelled her sent as it reached his senses. She smelled like roses. He oddly took some comfort in her scent as he managed to get his breathing back to a semi normal pace. He then opened his eyes.
They were in the middle of the forest somewhere. He had no idea where they were. As he looked around he could see, hidden deep inside the most dense parts of the trees was a small house. They entered the tiny home; it was more like a shack then a home to Sasuke, his old apartment was bigger then this place. When you walked in there was the bed on one side, a small kitchenette and a fireplace. He saw a door and assumed that was the bathroom.
The ANBU took him over to the bed and laid him down on it, far more gently than she did the forest floor with him earlier that evening, before Sasuke could say anything the scent of roses hit him hard and darkness consumed him.
When he woke up all of his wounds were tended too and the kitchenette was filled with enough food to last a couple weeks.
"What the hell?" Was all Sasuke could say.
He opened his eyes as the memory faded, thinking the ANBU was a Hidden Leaf, so why the hell help him? He was still living in the little shack she had left him at. She had never come back for him, no one did. He even trapped the whole place and was prepared to fight from the instant he woke up here. But no one ever came. He looked all around the shack for clues as to who she was but the only thing he found was some male spare clothes, that oddly fit him well and a small black bag full of women's clothing, a spare ANBU outfit, for what he would assume was hers because of how small it was, Plus it had the same corset, and some adult novels. He had yet to get bored enough to read those. He was thoroughly confused by this puzzle.
His body had taken far longer then he would have liked to heal as well. He had supplies to help him but it wasn't nearly enough. For the wounds just to heal on the outside took over a month and then months of physical training to try and get them up to par. These past two years has just been him healing and trying to get back to full strength but he knows now he is just about there. Now he just needed some practice. Well he was hungry and needed more food money. He got up and started walking toward the small village that was a few miles away.
"Maybe I can make tonight interesting after all" he said to no one in particular as he walked through the forest, the rose smelling ANBU woman still on his mind.
