All Nightmare Long

Chapter 577

Author's Note: Jewel is bugging me; she wants to go to toe with Shaw. So, I'm listening to her. She won't shut up otherwise. Hopefully I'll get to Joey and Mitch, or even Carol, but we will see. Plus I found a cute picture of Daniela Ruah with her daughter, and had to use it for Quinn and Hope for WattPadd (If you are reading this on fan fiction, this story is on Wattpadd with pictures.) Please review, it means a lot.

Alexandria POV:

Quinn picked up Hope from the basinet on the porch and lifted her above her head to get her to smile. "Did you have a nice nap Miss Hope? Hmm?" she asked with a smile as she kissed the top of her head. "You are going to be a blondie like mommy huh?" she said as she stepped off her porch walking toward Jewel and the new arrivals. "Jewel? Everything OK? Welcome back Jes."

Jes nodded. "You holding up?"

"I don't have a choice," Quinn answered as Jewel took Hope from her then looked at Garza. "You look familiar, you were there. You aren't an Alexandrian, you aren't a Savior, who are you?"

"Friend of Jes's," Garza answered.

"Let's not go that far," Jes answered.

"Are we going to stand out here all day or are we going to talk about the issue at hand?" Shaw questioned.

"With that, I'll be going. Let me know if you need me to watch Hope and Judy," Quinn said to Jewel.

"Hey, you're part of this. Come on to the house, you may have stepped back but you are still important to the decision making," Jewel said as she kissed the top of Hope's head. "Let's go see daddy, baby girl," Jewel said. "Come on," she said as she looked back at Shaw and Garza, walking toward the house. "Rick? Jes brought back company," she said as she walked in.

"Jes?" Rick questioned as he stood up and took Hope. "Hi, baby girl," he said as Rosita, Gus, Vince, Michonne, Tara and Phoebe stood up and looked at the two men.

"Joey, Summer and I ran into there group right before your run in with Negan. I had an idea about hiding weapons at Arlington, figured no one would look at there, and ran into a group that's been staying there since the beginning. Joey and Mitch took a couple of the group up to Hilltop, help them train," Jes explained.

Rosita looked at the two men. "How many guns do you have?"

Shaw looked at her then at Rick. "You may be used to making decisions by using the sewing circle, but how about we go outside, and talk man on man, light up a couple cigars."

Rick adjusted Hope in his arms. "Rosita asked you how many guns you have," he repeated the woman's request ignoring him.

Jes smirked as Garza sat down. "I think that means take a seat, Shaw," Garza said.

"We have enough guns, for my people," Shaw said as he looked at Rick and the group.

Jewel and Rick glanced at each other as Jewel placed her hand on Hope's head. They silently exchanged words and Rick nodded as Jewel turned to look at Shaw. "Sit down Shaw. You're not in charge here, we are. And that means, we're doing this our way, which means you get to talk to me, or anyone of us that asks you questions. And don't even think about lighting up a cigar in this house," Jewel warned him.

"We don't have time for this, we need guns," Rosita said as she crossed her arms.

"Sit down, Rosita," Michonne told her.

"While Jes was out with your group, we ran into a group of survivors, large group, fighters. They want guns to help us," Jewel explained.

"Do you trust these people?" Jes questioned.

"They stole all our supplies and took Gabriel as hostage, so not exactly," Phoebe responded.

"But we don't have a choice. And neither do you, not if you want to survive," Jewel told Shaw.

"We've survived just fine without your help up to now," Shaw told her.

"You've been lucky," Rick stated as he rubbed Hope's back. "How many people do you have?"

"Sixteen," Garza answered.

Shaw glanced at him. "Most of which is former military, secret service, or police. We don't really like to rely on others for help."

"Abraham was a soldier, and Negan still killed him," Rosita informed him.

"I'm sure that Jes has explained the situation to you. And Garza had a front row seat to two of his visits. He saw him kill one of our people, Quinn's brother because he had a different opinion. We thought we could handle Negan and his people, but we weren't aware of how many people he had. You don't have the people, but team up with us, and we can help each other," Jewel said.

"You just want the guns," Shaw said.

"We can work around that," Rick said.

"No, we can't, we need weapons," Rosita said.

"I'm not leaving my people helpless," Shaw said.

"We have plenty, if we give you 5% we still would have plenty. It may be enough for your people, but not an army," Garza said.

"Then give us more," Rosita said.

"Rosita, sit down," Jewel said. "We're going to go out and find more weapons, so we don't need to take all of theirs. But there is one condition," she said as she looked at Shaw.

"And what is that?" Shaw questioned.

"You join us, your part of this fight. Not just when you feel like it, but the whole shebang, from beginning to end. When you need us, we'll help, and we expect the same of you," Jewel said.

Shaw crossed his arm and looked at her then Rick. "I'm in charge of the army," he said.

"Hey, I don't look at Garza when we're talking. You're dealing with me, not Rick. So respect me enough to stop looking at my husband like he's going to talk over me and make a decision that I don't. It's not going to happen. Neither is me putting you in charge over our 'army' as you call it. I don't trust you, and you obviously don't respect me, so why in the world would I trust you with something that big? You earn our trust, we earn yours, while we are helping each other out. I don't want to see anyone else die because of Negan and the Savior's, if I can help it. So are we working together or are you going to take your chance?" Jewel asked.

Garza looked at Shaw. "We'll work together, right Shaw?"

Shaw looked at her. "Fine," he answered.
