A/N Thanks for your reviews and support.
00-night-eyes-00: thanks for your review, my friend. Glad you enjoyed it, my friend.
Shou-loatheUndying: thanks for your review, my friend. This is one of the biggest differences between the movies and the books. In the books, Jason is actually what we are doing here. A killer only after one man. Two killer's lives forever intertwined. A final battle approaching that only one will walk away from.
I do want to remind everyone I prefer m/m fics when writing. I do take requests for other pairings. I do not write Harems though.
Oliver's POV
The city around him was alive with people. It was the first time he had been allowed out of the castle in the desert.
Oliver wasnt alone. Members of the League were scattered throughout the crowd. Ra's was out in the open watching every movement.
Movement caught his eye. He dodged to the left and barely missed a tap. Unsurprisingly it Al Owal who had tried to catch him unawares.
In this exercise, they were meant to tap the mentors and members scattered throughout the crowd. They had to avoid both the notice of the crowd and a tap from the members.
So far he had seen two of his fellow initiates be tapped by their mentors. Oliver might look like he wasnt paying attention but he was aware of his surroundings. He had to be more than the other.
Al Owal disappeared back into the crowd. Carefully Oliver did the same looking for an opening.
He followed around a brown haired alpha assassin. The man was focused on another initiate who was staring into a window. Oliver tapped him just below the ribs and moved back into the crowd before the man could do anything.
The brown-haired man swung around but his hazel eyes could not find him. Hitting this unknown assassin wasnt the same as getting Al Owal.
A shadow caught his eyes and Oliver stepped back. A grey-haired beta had tried to tap him. There was a hardness in his eyes.
For his part, the omega grinned and moved away from him. They were underestimating him. It was not something they would be able to keep doing.
The game of tag went on for another two hours. Oliver had been able to avoid being tagged by the League. At the same time, he had been able to tag the brown-haired alpha five times and the grey-haired one twice.
Currently, he was pretending to be distracted by a book in front of a store mirror. Al Owal his real target was coming up on his left.
Al Owal went to tap him on the back of the neck. Oliver let him get in close before ducking in under the arm. He tapped Al Owal in the chest.
A smile etched itself across his face as the alpha whispered, "It was risky to let me get in so close, Al Sahim. A profitable one this time though."
Oliver bowed his head in respect. To receive praise from the alpha was a rare thing. Each piece of praise was closely guarded by the omega.
In the last few weeks while he healed his mentor barely left his side. They had become close. It always seemed as if the alpha wanted to ask him something. They were always interrupted before he could.
This would not be the time for whatever it was. Not during training and especially not out in the open.
A sudden feeling of being watched came over him. Discretely the omega glanced around. Besides those that came with him, no one looked familiar. He spied a man coming out of an alley.
Nothing about him was suspicious in itself. However, his instincts were screaming at him. This person was not normal.
Slowly so not to draw attention to himself Oliver began making his way over to it. The man dodged around one of the League members. They barely acknowledged him. It seemed only his instincts were screaming at him.
He slipped into the alley after the man.
Ra's POV
Initiates were enjoying their first day out of Nanda Parbat. The training exercise was also meant to raise morale.
Watching Al Owal interact with Al Sahim had been entertaining. The boy dodged around his mentor with a grin on his face.
Ra's had been watching the younger go after Sayad and Al Owal like a tiger after its prey. Sayad seemed frustrated at his inability to tag the omega. Even working with Al Tinin had them unable to catch the boy.
Al Sahim even was able to tag Al Owal. That in itself was an achievement. Not many were able to get the alpha.
Ra's turned his attention to another initiate who had bumped into a civilian alpha. The civilian was snarling at the initiate.
Ra's turned away. If the initiate couldn't handle this he didn't deserve to be in the League.
Searching the crowd he spotted each of his men. All except for Al Sahim who had completely disappeared. Ra's sat up just a little straighter searching harder.
Al Owal was tagging other students but no Al Sahim. Several initiates tried to get Al Owal and failed. There was no sign of the elusive Al Sahim.
He called out softly, "Namar."
The omega came into view and queried, "My liege?"
"Find Al Sahim. It seems he has strayed from the group."
Namar's eyes shot up searching the crowd. Then he said, "Yes, my liege."
Before the omega could even take a step a shot rang out. Al Owal was immediately by his side his hazel eyes searching the crowd.
The initiates had already disappeared into the city. They would make their own way to the safe houses.
"Where is Al Sahim?"
That was the question. The three men could not find the young omega.
Namar, however, left to follow his order. Al Owal took his place as one of the guards as one of their vehicles rolled up. Normally the League wouldn't use such a vehicle so conspicuously but with the gunshot, they weren't taking any chances.
Ra's trusted Namar to find the other omega. The tiger was one of the best trackers in the League.
Oliver's POV
He slammed his knee into the assassin's rib cage. This man was here to kill him. One of the Jackals' people. As a beta Oliver got lucky that he didn't have the strength of an alpha. Strong in his own right Oliver was still relearning all of his old fighting styles along with the League's.
The surprise in his grey eyes when he saw Oliver said a lot. What he said next had sent icy chills down his spine, "No! You are supposed to be dead. I saw you go into the water!"
Without further ado, the man had pulled a sidearm on him. He barely had the chance to dodge before a shot rang out. Oliver's ears rang but he was already kicking out at the gun. It was knocked from the betas grip.
That had only been the beginning. This beta knew him not just from a file but had tried to kill him. If he wanted answers he would have to take this man alive.
He had to block a punch meant for his jaw. There was a lot of power behind it.
Instincts kicked in. As the next punch went to hit him under the chin Oliver stepped back. He gripped the beta's wrist and twisted.
Unlike the times he had used the move before he did not stop at a gasp of pain. It wasnt until the wrist snapped did he turn his body. Using his retuned strength Oliver threw the older man over his shoulder. The man landed with a loud thump and a pained groan.
Still, he did not release the captive arm. He twisted the shoulder harshly behind the beta's back. Apply pressure he subdued the man as he tried to get away.
