So my foot is healing up nicely, should be fine in another week or so. Apparently it takes forever for the bone in your feet to heal. Enjoy.

"One destroyed sparring ring, seven ruined weight machine and three treadmills. The eastern wall of the gym has two new human sized hole and the southern wall has severe fire damage. Several dozen knives and shuriken lodged in the ceiling and floor, then of course is the new trench torn through the courtyard and the thirty eight year old maple tree that was cut to pieces." Ozpin read through the damage report as teams RWBY and JNPR stood in his office, Kakashi and Obito stood at the center, both looking disheveled and covered in bruises. "In total the damages come out to one hundred and twenty six thousand lien. Do you have anything to say for yourselves?" The headmaster asked sounding exasperated.

Obito and Kakashi looked at one another and at the eight other teens present, Pyrrha and Weiss both looked as angry as Goodwitch had been when she'd broken up the 'spar'. Nora and Yang both looked oddly satisfied, Ruby and Jaune were clearly nervous and Blake and Ren were as stone faced as ever.

Obito shrugged. "I won?" He said gaining a glare from the headmaster.

"That was a tie at best." Kakashi retorted.

"Please, you were running on fumes by the end mister glass canon." Obito shot back.

"Say's the one trick pony, do you know how to use anything other than Kamui?" Kakashi growled.

Obito laughed. "I'm sorry, do I need to remind you which of us only has one unique jutsu and needs a second hand eye to use it!" He shouted as they both got into one another's face.

"Idiot!"

"Douche Bag!"

"ENOUGH!" Ozpin yelled silencing the room.

Obito sighed after a few moments of silence. "Alright fine, gimme a second." He said before disappearing, several seconds later he reappeared holding a small bag. He tossed it onto the headmasters desk, the older man grabbing it and opened it revealing a large number of plastic lien cards. "That's fifty three thousand, I'll get you the rest tomorrow." He said not noticing the gaping mouths of everyone up but the headmaster, Kakashi and Pyrrha who was now rubbing her temples.

Ozpin stared at the teen for nearly a minute before burying his face in his hands. "Just... get out of my office, all of you."

Hours Later

"This won't come back on you will it?" Obito asked as he picked up a rock.

Pyrrha sighed and shook her head. "No, I wasn't there when it started so I doubt anyone on my team will be involved in any kind of punishment. I honestly doubt even team RWBY will be in trouble." She shrugged and grabbed a rock of her own.

Both looked out over the water of Vales coast, then simultaneously they threw their rocks and watched them skipped across the surface. His skipped seven times while hers skipped nine. "Dammit, how do you always beat me?" Obito mumbled earning a smile from Pyrrha.

"I'm pretty sure they want to keep me around anyway, Nora says I'm the 'Obi-wrangler' because nobody else can reign you in when things 'go bonkers'." She laughed.

Obito nodded with a grin. "Is that why you chose shackles for a weapon?" Obito laughed as well. The pair of teen skipped rocks for a few more minutes in a content silence. "I'm sorry Pyr, I've been causing you a lot of trouble lately." Obito broke the silence as he sat down on the sandy beach.

Pyrrha sat down next to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. "I don't mind, honestly I makes me hopeful."

Obito raised an eyebrow. "How so?"

Pyrrha let out a deep breath. "When we first met, you were so... cold. Angry and determined to be alone. I had to fight just to get you to keep coming back." She explained making the Uchiha nod with a frown. "After years of working at it though I managed to break through that shell of yours, even still you were so closed of to the world. Now things are different, ever since you... confronted Kakashi you feel... lighter? Less heavy of a presence." She seemed to struggle for the words a bit. "Even if it was a horrible experience, I think it gave you some kind of closure. Like those wounds you've been suffering from have finally begun healing, if only a little." Pyrrha grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "And whenever you feel ready and want to talk about whatever you went through, I'm here. I always will be."

Obito was silent for several minutes. "My name is Obito Uchiha and I never knew my parents."

The Next Day

"You called for me?" Kakashi asked as he sat down at the table in a small cafe in Vale. "Why are we here?" He asked looking to the headmaster sitting across from him.

Ozpin looked around with a small smile. "I like to come down from my tower every so often, it becomes to easy to begin seeing people as less than people when constantly looking down on them from a distance. Walking among them, it helps me stay grounded, reminds me what we really fight for." Ozpin explained before looking out the window. "I also like to prove the rumor that I'm a recluse that never leaves, I've even heard students claim I sleep under my desk." He chuckled.

Kakashi listened as he grabbed the small kiosk on the table and placed a order. "Reminds me a bit of the Third, even after sensei took over as Hokage he would spend a lot of his time at the tower assisting him. Sensei had to threaten the man with being placed as an academy teachers aid just to get him to relax and enjoy his retirement." Kakashi swiped his bank card paying for his order before looking back to the older man. "I doubt you just called me here to talk."

Ozpin nodded and let out a sad sounding breath. "Yes, it about something you mentioned. You stated before that you've been trained as a combatant, a Jonin you called it." A frown began forming on the mans face as he spoke.

"Yeah, spent so time in ANBU as well. Was still a member before coming here." Kakashi nodded.

"I'm afraid I'm not familiar with these terms. Jonin, ANBU, are they specific roles?" Ozpin asked.

"Kinda, but not really." Kakashi said as a young woman came over holding a steaming cup and placed it on the table earning a smile from the teen. "There are several ranks given to shinobi of our village, your rank generally is assigned according to skill, experience, all the usual qualities. There are several outliers but there are typically for main ranks used, Genin, Chunin, Jonin and Kage. Genin is the lowest and is given to fresh recruits out of the academy, they are typically in their early teens." Kakashi explained before taking a sip. "Though as always there are exceptions, for example, I became a Genin at age five. Of course I was considered something of a prodigy."

Ozpin placed his face in his hands and rubbed his face. "Teaching five year olds to kill. Sometimes I wonder if this world is really worth fighting for." The man spoke with clear disappointment.

Kakashi ignored this and continued. "Next is Chunin, once you reach this rank you are able to be trusted as a leader for more difficult mission. This is also the rank a large majority of shinobi remain until their retirement or death, I reached Chunin at age six. Then there's Jonin, this is the rank only given to the elite, the very best. Jonin are given the most difficult missions and are often entrusted with the mentorship of Genin. Finally there's the Kage, there are only five Kage in the world, each leads one of the five major villages. The Kage of a village is usually the most powerful shinobi not only in their village but often times in their entire nation. Each capable of feats that defy the imagination. Our Kage, the Hokage and my teacher Minato Namikaze ended a war by taking out a thousand enemy shinobi by himself in a single night, and no that's not an exaggeration." Kakashi explained.

"And ANBU?" Ozpin asked as he suppress a surprised look from his face.

"ANBU black ops, not really a rank as much as division of the military. ANBU are the one called on to carry out delicate and important missions, wetworks and the like. ANBU agents identities are generally kept as a closely guarded secret and all ANBU are required to wear masks while on the job." Kakashi spoke while staring into his drink. "It was a dark job."

"And it was common for children to be in these positions?" Ozpin asked.

"Not really no, I was a bit of a special case. Like I said I was a prodigy, though there was one boy the higher ups were looking at who was even younger than I. I spoke with him once, even at only six Itachi saw things more clearly then I do now. I truly hope he doing alright, I have no doubt he would make a magnificent Hokage one day." Kakashi said as continued staring out the window at the people passing by.

Ozpin reached down under the table and pulled a very expensive looking briefcase up onto the seat next to him. "I won't lie to you Mr. Hatake, everything you've said here has greatly disturbed me." He said before pulling out a vanilla envelope and set it on the table. "That said even I know when I need to swallow my sensibilities. I'm sure you're aware that Qrow frequently goes out on extended missions under my instruction, he's very good at what he does."

"But?" Kakashi continued for the man.

"But he's just one man, he may be one of the most skilled huntsmen alive but there is only so much he can do on his own." Ozpin placed his hand on the envelope. "I've wanted him to have a partner for a long time but I'm sure you also know the man can be difficult to work with."

"And you want me to be his partner?" Kakashi nodded as he thought it over. "Tell me more."

Elsewhere

"And once we arrive we will immediately begin attaching cables to the blue shipping containers marked with the SDC logo located here, here and here. The second wave of bullheads should arrive within three minutes at which time we will hook those cables up and hightail it out of there." Roman explained while pointing at a map of the Vale shipping port, standing around the table were several White Fang members, Neo and the mystery man in the mask, Tobi. Roman had rather certain that Cinder was going to order his death the moment he informed her about his intrusion in the warehouse. To say he was surprised when he was later instructed to incorporate them in their plans would be an extreme understatement. "Should you all refrain from fucking it up, the whole operation should take less than fifteen minutes."

This earned nods from most present, all but Neo and Tobi to be specific, both of which were snickering at a video the masked man was showing his partner. That was another thing, the man acted like an absolute fool, he took nothing seriously. He showed no abilities that would indicate he was a threat nor did appear to have any skills he could find useful. Roman wasn't an idiot, he got where he was by listening to his instincts, and at that moment his instincts were telling him this guy was a lot more than just some idiot. This suspicion was only reinforced by the fact that Cinder had instructed him to keep a very close watch on the man, report anything even slightly concerning about him and limit him to the absolute minimum information on their plans until she returned.

To this end Roman had instructed the one person he actually trusted that wasn't in a mirror to stick to the man like glue, luckily the little lady had taken a liking to the masked fool. "Neo." Roman spoke getting both their attentions. "You and Tobi will be responsible for the diversion, on my signal you two will create enough chaos to get the attention of as much of the Vale police force as possible. Try to keep the bloodshed to a minimum though, start killing and they might call in hunter backup and the last thing I need is you two getting yourselves killed, got it?"

"No worries Torchy, me and Neo got this handled." Tobi said happily giving a thumbs up. "But I think your plan is missing something super important, a dangerous oversight."

Roman raised an eyebrow and glanced over the table. "And what would that be Tobi?" He asked crossing his arms.

"AWESOME CODENAMES!" The idiot shouted throwing his arms into the air. "We can't have a mission without them, right Neo?" He asked the short woman who only nodded sagely.

Roman could already feel the future migraines forming.

Sorry for the wait for this chapter but I've been very distracted with work lately, writers block hasn't helped either but I'm working through it. Leave me a review and tell me what you all think. LATER.
