A few days later, David was finished with the machine he had been building and Itami and the others had gone to see it.

"So, what's this thing supposed to do?" asked Itami.

"First, you put a small amount of magic ore into this spot," said David as he took the small rock and placed it into a slot in the machine.

"Then you put some kind of mineral in this one," said Slither as she placed a piece of gold on a stand in the machine next to another stand, then closed the glass door.

"Now you just press this button," said David as he held up a remote. The second he pressed it, a rainbow light traveled through some pipes from the stone to the cabinet with the gold in it, filling it with the light.

"And done," said David as he pressed the button again, stopping the light.

"What was that all about?" asked Rory.

"The machine's job is to make exact copies of minerals," said David as he opened the third cabinet which had an identical piece of gold inside it.

"No way," said Itami as everyone stared in shock.

"With this, there will be no reason to harm the environment for minerals ever again," said David.

"Wow," said Touka. Suddenly, a noise in the corner got her attention.

"Hey, the egg's hatching," said Touka as she noticed small cracks in the egg as it rested on a pillow.

"Already?" asked David as everyone watched the egg now. A few minutes later, a baby dragon that resembled a foot tall seahorse was in a large fish tank.

"I have never heard of a Water Dragon like this one before," said Lelei as she looked at it through the glass.

"Maybe it takes on a form that the person who owns it is comfortable with," said Slither.

"Either way, do you have a name for it?" asked Kuribayashi.

"I think I'll call him Hydro," said David with a smile. Yanagida then ran into the room with a terrified expression.

"Another Gate has appeared," said Yanagida, shocking everyone.

"Where is it?" asked Itami.

"It's where the castle used to stand in the capital," said Yanagida. Meanwhile, at the new Gate.

"So this is another world," said a voice as a dark mist poured from the Gate. Back at the base, Itami and the others were on the radio with a recon team.

"Do you see any enemies on sight?" asked Yanagida.

"No sir, but we do see a mist gathering around it," said a soldier.

"That mist could be poisonous, they must evacuate to a safe distance for now," said David.

"I want all of you to fall back, take everyone there and leave," said Yanagida. Suddenly, Hardy appeared in the room.

"We need to talk," said Hardy with a worried expression.
