"Did you create another Gate and use it without telling us about it?" asked Yanagida to Hardy.
"I did create a new Gate, but I did not activate it, someone from the world that it's connected to did," said Hardy.
"You're saying that someone else from another world was able to take control of it?" asked Itami.
"It's the only thing I can think of, but I know what world it is currently connected to, and it's a troubling one," said Hardy.
"What world is it?" asked Rory.
"One filled with demons, that's why the mist is coming from the portal, they need that mist to live," said Hardy.
"Of course, in video games and anime demons live in a poisonous gas called masma, it's fatal to normal humans to touch let alone breath though," said Itami.
"We must find a way to close that Gate before these demons start a rampage," said Yanagida.
"Good news is that you can actually destroy this one, there's no protective spells on it like the first one since it activated before I could put them on," said Hardy.
"Problem is that the whole former capital is covered in that masma now," said Sugawara as he looked at a screen with a live feed from a remote camera set up several yards out from the old capital.
"Just to make sure we got the demons in the masma we'll have to blow the whole area, but that puts a lot of people in danger, and even then it's not a guarantee," said Itami.
"Actually, I might have a spell that could help us in this case, it could be dangerous in itself but it would be our only shot," said David.
"How sure are you?" asked Yanagida.
"I'm 85% sure it'll work by myself, but 100% if three others help by casting it themselves," said David as he looked at the girls.
"Then count us in," said Lelei as she, Touka, and Rory stood before him.
"Are you sure?" asked Itami.
"We've faced even worse, and it's to protect both our worlds, because if they get to this gate then they can get to Earth," said Touka.
"Then let's get to learning that spell," said David as they left to go to his lab.
"And I'll call it in," said Yanagida.
