Part One

After a good hour of work, they'd finally fixed up the ship, and now it looked properly fixed up...or at least, as a shelter. And good thing too, the rain was beginning to pour on down at long last!

Sora was putting the last bits together before a loud crash of thunder shook the ground around them. He hurried into the makeshift shack, relieved to find the walls were sturdy enough to keep most of the rain out. Sora shivered a little as he let out a cough. Roxas hurried over as best as he could.

"Are you okay?"

Sora but his lip as he tried in vain to warm himself up. He felt.. Cold.

"I.. I d-don't.. K-know.."

Sora fought back another cough, only for it to force its way out. It was no small cough, but a scary one. He was now getting a severe headache. Roxas took his hand and was soon horrified.

"S-Sora..! You're burning UP!"

Sora cringed as he flopped onto his butt, wiping his brow. "Ohhh...yeah, I don't...I don't feel so hot..." He admitted as Axel handed him a bottle of water that had survived the crash.

"Here, drink some water." He offered.

Sora took the water gratefully and began drinking it greedily.

"Sora, slow down.." Riku warned gently.

Sora soon finished and shivered as he soon curled up on the floor of the shelter as he started feel a bit queasy. He fought it down the best he could, clutching his eyes shut, only to roll over and begin releasing the contents of his stomach onto the floor.

"I told you not to drink the water so fast.." Riku sighed, gently rubbing his friend's back.

As Sora lay on the floor, Roxas removed his short-sleeved jacket and carefully covered Sora up the best he could. Sora let out a groan as he soon dozed off.

As he did so, Roxas began to feel dizzy but soon managed to shake away the feeling as he stayed at Sora's side. Riku made his way to the nearby first aid, thankful they had not lost any supplies in the crash.

Riku got out another first aid bottle of water along with some aspirin, giving it to Roxas.

"Small sips, and not so much." he insisted as Roxas took a light drink, wiping his brow when he was finished.

"Okay, I do feel a BIT better..." Roxas admitted.

There were loud crashing noise as the rain had begun washing rocks from the shore up against the walls of the shelter. Roxas shuddered as a tree crashed loudly against the wall and roof. However, the sound had not caused Sora to stir.

"Sora?"

Roxas gently shook him, getting no response. Roxas's concern became stronger as he tried to wake his friend.

"Sora!?" Roxas cried in horror.

Sora let out a weak groan in response but otherwise did not awake. His head lulled about slightly in his slumber as Riku shook him.

"SORA! WAKE UP!"

"AHH! I'm up, I'm up!" Sora cried out.

He immediately winced at the pain and clutched at his head.

"Ugh.."

Roxas made his way over, bringing over a Hi-Potion.

"Here.."

Sora looked up, his vision swimming as he fell back against the wall. Roxas knelt at his side and carefully eased Sora up into the seated position, holding the bottle of Hi-Potion to Sora's lips. Sora let out a whimper as he weakly pushed it away.

"C'mon, Sora.. You need to drink it.." Roxas urged gently.

"I'm.. I'm n-not.."

Sora trailed off and gritted his teeth as he began to feel queasy again.

"Come on. You need a little bit of it." Roxas said.

Sora hesitated, then lifted the hi-potion to his mouth, drinking about half of it.

"Take long, deep, slow breaths." Roxas added as Sora nodded slowly, taking in those slow, careful breaths.

As he allowed the potion to sink in, Sora felt a fluttering warmth spread through him and he soon let out a slow and shaky breath before opening his eyes. Roxas smiled at him as he gently placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"How do you feel?" he asked gently.

"I'm.. I-I'm okay.. I-I think.."

Sora let himself rest against the wall. Isa watched them, smiling slightly but soon began to feel a bit lightheaded as he subconsciously rubbed at his eye which was still swollen shut.

"That's good." Riku said. "I'll take first watch. You guys get some sleep." he offered to the others as they all nodded in agreement.

Isa was noticeably rubbing at the swelling in his left eye, wincing as the action was making his eye feel painful. Roxas turned to look at him with a bit of concern.

"Anyone remember how our Gummi Ship crashed?" Isa inquired as he kept rubbing over his eye, cringing a bit.

Roxas took a seat next to Sora, who had already fallen asleep slumped against the wall.

"All I remember.. We were passing over some mountains or something and we were caught in a wind current.." Roxas murmured softly.

Riku made his way over by the door and grabbed Isa's arm gently to stop his continuous rubbing.

"You probably shouldn't be doing that.." he said gently.

Isa stopped rubbing as he sat down.

"We should all try to get some sleep." Roxas suggested to them. "I think it'll do us ALL some good."

Isa nodded and soon turned to look at Axel, noticing he has been rather quiet.

Axel sighed as he dusted himself off and rose up. "I'll take first watch." He offered to all of them. "You get some sleep."

Roxas, Riku, and Isa nodded as Sora continued to sleep near the wall. Roxas turned to look at his friend. Sora groaned a little as he continued to sleep.

"It's okay, Sora.." Roxas said, rubbing his shoulder. "We're gonna be okay.."

Sora mumbled something in his sleep, causing Roxas to smile a little.

Isa soon let himself rest against the far wall as he started to feel lightheaded. He let his head rest against the wall and tried to take in slow and steady breaths just as Sora had.

Axel meanwhile, stayed on watch, keeping his eyes peeled. "Just get some rest, guys. I'll keep you safe for the night." He offered.

The others soon nodded in response and tried their best to sleep.
