I want more out of my life. I do not want to just stay in this forest forever, and not see the world. A girl with long blonde hair down to her knees thought. She is pale with emerald green eyes ears long and as a moon elf. Not many of our kind are left, mostly drow, or wood elves are left. Her name is Drusillia, a wild spirit who loves reading adventure stories, and romance stories. At a young age she did not show a lot of promise for her family like her amazing inventing brother did, She was like a black sheep to her family. Her brother Sylas is of course the prize child of the family. He was extremely intelligent, he invented stuff, and was going to be getting into this fancy invention church. It was not like I was not happy for him, it was the fact that it made me look like a terrible child. I was more of wanting to go on adventures with friends, and find a hot guy to fall in love with, and we would become the top adventure couple. At least that is how my parents made their love story seem along with all the stories I read. I loved reading stories of people falling in love. I already have all my wedding ideas planned out. It will be exciting.

"Dru it time for training to get down here right now!" yelled a man with a rugged voice and demeanor. He looked to be a 7 foot tall built man with scruff that was trimmed nicely. He had brown leather pants on, with a beige shirt tucked in with a bow hung on his back. He looked like he was ready to go hunting. "I am coming Papa you do not need to yell." I say rolling my eyes. My father was the top hunter in our village. He went out with a troop to collect food for the butcher for our village. He was always yelling at me to study my magic, and train super hard to become a top healer for our village. I basically study dream healing magic. See I was blessed with extra fae magic that gave me entry to dreams like realms, and extreme healing abilities. Soon as my father discovered this he found the best dream druid in the forest to train me. It was a firbolg named Narth she was a kind soul. She believes it or not used to be a part of my parents' adventure gang. So he did not actually have to search far honestly. She was an amazing teacher for sure, but I just want to shop with my friends, and read my romance stories. I hate having to do any sort of responsibilities at this age. I am only 100. It is annoying. "Dru do not roll your eyes, and get to Narth's now so you do not keep her waiting like always." he said in a stern voice.

"Honey you do not need to be so angry with her all the time." a pur sing song like voice came from behind him. Arm touching his shoulder he looked over at a stunning elven woman, with a simple green dress on, blonde hair wrapped in a braided bun. "Mama! You look so pretty today love your hair and dress!" I say giving her a thank you look. She smirks knowing what I am doing. "Now go Drusillia before your father here pops a blood vessel and I have to heal him for it." she looks with a joking tone in her voice. Puffing up my cheeks for a moment, I look over smile hug my parents, and head out the door. My mother was the cleric of our town, and worked in the church at the top of the hill in our village. She was an amazing healer, helping all the hunters or fighters who come injured to her. She is my inspiration. Do not get me wrong I wanna be like her, and be an amazing healer/doctor. If I am not learning healing magic from Narth I am learning how to make potions with herbs from my mother. I start down the street when I hear a friendly voice. "Hey slacker how goes it?" says an elven boy with eyes the color of sapphire. His name was Sapphire and he was a noble of the village. He got his name from his beautiful eyes. I was jealous of him always looked perfect. Basically he was like a porcelain doll, his skin was clear as a sunny day, his clothes were always on point. Sapphire's family was a very famous tailor company. They make the best clothes pricy sadly so I cannot afford them. Some day though I would like too. "Well for you information I have training! So there in your face! Don't you have some boys heart to break right now?" I say with a smirk on my face. Yes Sapphire is the boy heart breaker. He always is finding a new guy, then breaking their heart after a few weeks. I am so envious honestly. I have no guys coming up to me or any guys I find interesting enough. "Well surprisingly I am breaking up with my boyfriend, but because I am actually leaving soon. I got accept into the school of magic to practice, and better my knowledge on magic. I leave next week. Which is why I was trying to find you today…." he said in a sad low tone not making eye contact with me. "WHAT! YOU ARE LEAVING!" I say upset. "What about us becoming adventures, and doing amazing things, and seeing amazing places? Does Topaz know yet?" I could not keep my sad feeling hidden in my voice any longer. I was furious. Sapphire, Topaz, and I were supposed to go on adventures together, we had made a plan for it since we were kids. "Dru sometimes plans to change. You should be happy for him not angry. Do not think about yourself. Think of others." said a soft voice. I turn to see a tabaxi with eyes the color of topazes staring right into my soul almost. "Topaz when did you get here? I did not even hear you. I am very perspective so I should have noticed her. "I just dropped down from the tree up there." she said no emotion in her eyes. Topaz was found at the entrance of our village crying with no memory of what happened to her parents or how she got there. Sapphire's aunt and uncle took her in. Naming her of course after her eye color. She was training to be a top fighter. She was always secretive about her training though, and no one knew where she trained. She would kind of just show up. "You are right, but Topaz he is leaving u." tears in my eyes I run over dramatically to give her a hug, as my tears stream down my face soaking her shirt. "It is ok he will be back, and when he comes back we can then start our life of adventure." patting my back, and looking at Sapphire while she tried to console me. "I have to get to Narth so when I am done we should get food together, and you can tell me all about your new school Sapphire!" I say with fake enthusiasm. "Sure thing Dru!" he said with a smile wide across his face. After that Sapphire walks past us to go deliver bad news to his boyfriend. "I guess I will be going too. Have to get back to my training before i get in trouble." as she starts to walk I shout out to her. "Um Topaz?" I say. "Yes Dru." she stops to turn and ask me with a curious look. "Where do you train again? I can meet you there so we can head over to Sapphire's after?" trying to get an answer out of where this training camp is she is a part of. "I will find you Dru ok do not worry. I will probably be done before you anyway. I always start before you do." she looks at me smiles then jumps up into the trees and disappears. "Drusillia come on I feel as if you have not practiced at all!" Narth yells at me. "I did I just have had a lot in mind today. I am sorry." I say with disappointment in my voice. I knew she was upset with me. I did not mean to do a bad job it was just something I was not used to learning right away. Bigger spells are harder to get a hold of right away. "I promise I will do better next time. I am really sorry." I say with an encouraging tone. "Drusillia if you want to talk with me you can. Do not always feel like you need to keep things in. I know your dad is tough on you. Trust me when we were adventuring together he was always tough on us. Still he made a great leader, and made sure we all lived or tried to." she said with a solemn tone. "My friend is leaving me. I know I should not be sad I should be happy. He got into one of the hardest well actually the hardest magic schools in the world. It is just we always planned on being adventures together ever since we were young." I just continue on a rant about my dad also being hard on me. Not wanting to be what he wants me to be, and just see the world, and look cute, and find my prince. Narth just sits, and listens laughing at times. "Oh honey you are young, you have your whole life to do those things. Sometimes it takes time to find the one or start an adventure team. Maybe just practice your druid skills first, then when you feel you can defend yourself to a good point then go out on your own. Although I highly doubt your father will let you go anywhere. He is just protective of his little girl going out into the world. He knows what it is like to be an adventurer." she looks at me with a smile. "You will find your way, and yourself. It might not happen right away, but I feel like big things are coming your way." as she says this she gets up, and opens her door. "Now get out. It is late, and I am tired, and want some time to myself please." I get up as she says this, and rush out remembering I was supposed to meet Sapphire, and Topaz. As I remember this I bump right into Topaz. "There you are! I thought you were never going to leave your training session." she said, sounding a little annoyed at having to wait. "Sorry I needed to talk with Narth about something before I left. I am ready though. So lets go slowpoke." I jokingly say to her as I start rushing forward. We finally get to where Sapphire is standing waiting, tapping his foot. "Finally! I thought you ladies just stood me up. Which never happens to me so I was like they must have died on the way here, because that would be the only excuse I would allow." he says laughing. "Where are we all eating I am starving, also could go for a good drink!" Sapphire laughs as he wraps his arm around mine, and the other arm around Topaz. "Hmmmm lets go to Good Berry Wine Tavern!" I saw with excitement. "Hahaha sure they have great wine, and their food is the best in the village." Sapphire quickly runs ahead. "RACE YOU! LAST ONE THERE HAS TO PAY!" he shouts back."Hey no fair you are cheating." I scream back at him starting to run after him. We both get there around the same time. "Beat you!" I say with a grin. "As if. I clearly am the winner." he says back with sass. We enter the tavern to see Topaz already sitting at a table. Sapphire and I look at each other confused and shocked. "How the hell did you get here so fast?" I asked in amazement. "I took a short cut so I guess you both are paying." she says with a calm look as she sips her drink. It ends being a fun night of laughs, and jokes. Topaz quietly sitting laughing into her drink, Sapphire with his loud high laugh anyone could pick up from anywhere. "Ahhh it is getting late we should head home now." Sapphire says with a sad tone. "You guys I love you both, and I will remember you along with writing to you everyday I am there! I promise." he says with a cheerful tone.

1 Week Later

"Alright here I go ladies. It has been real. I will be back in a year or so then we can start our lives traveling the world!" Sapphire said with an excited tone. "Sapphire I am gonna miss you." rushing over with tears hugging him. "Do not forget about us, or I will find you, and yell at you!" I say with a stern look on my face. "HAHAHA Dru you really are dramatic you know that." he said with a tease tone. As he turned to look at Topaz with a cool demeanor he just waved. Smirking Topaz walks up and hugs him. "Be careful, and do not break too many hearts out there getting yourself in trouble." she smiles, pats his shoulder, and backs up. "Well this is now officially goodbye. See ya in a year!" he says as he steps into the teleportation circle to Evenstar Isle. "Well he is gone Dru you should get to your training. We are counting on you to be our top helper along the way. Considering you can still only transform into a cat you need to train better." Topaz says with a smirk. "I know you will do great things in your lifetime so promise me you will work hard so you can protect the ones you love." she said with a serious tone. I look at her a little confused and not sure what to think. "Topaz are you ok? Why does it sound like you are going off somewhere?" a little bit of a worried tone in my voice. She just stares at me for a moment before smirking then waving goodbye, and vanishing. If I had known that would be the last day I would see her for a while I would not have let her leave. The next time we would see each other would not be how I envisioned meeting an old friend.

1 Year Later

"Ok Papa I am off to training now! See you in a bit." I say as I rush out the door to Nath's house. Hello Leonidas, a cute fox came running up to me. After both my friends left me the same week I became lonely. I was in my favorite meadow area by our village when I saw this injured fox. Being me and my love for animals I took it home, and nursed it back to health. Now he is my friend, and in a sense a pet even though I do not like using that word. He was sweet, and followed me everywhere. I do not keep him in the house due to the fact that I feel animals should roam freely. If they love you they will come back to you no matter what. "You have gotten so much stronger since a year ago Drusillia. I am very proud of you!" Narth said with a giant smile. "Thank you! Sapphire comes back tomorrow, and I promised him I would train hard, and also…" I stop myself as my mind wonders in worry over Topaz. No one knew she was leaving or the reason for why she left. I was hopping she would come back when Sapphire did. "Ah well either way I think you can leave early today no need for you being all sad around here. Go enjoy the day. I will see you some other time." said Narth with a look of please leave, and tiredness. "I have been training more days with her to get stronger so she is probably tired of me at this point. I rush out with Leonidas at foot as I rush home to lay in bed, and read some books, and maybe try, and make a dress which I still suck at. As I walk through the door Sylas was sitting at the table. "Yo!" he said with a hand raised. "What is going on? Why is everyone sitting at the table? Did something happen? Did someone die? Am I in trouble?" I asked frantically. "Drusillia everything is fine just join us please, and take a breath." my father said in an annoyed yet stern tone. "Drusillia your brother has been offered a job in Narvalys at the Church Of Gong." said my mother. "I leave at the end of the week so yea how exciting is that. I submitted some blue print stuff, and they were interested in what else I can do, and offered to train me!" Sy said with excitement. "So you are leaving too…" I say with a sad tone. "Aw Dru I know all your friends left but I need to as well. Everyone has to go their own way at some point right!" he said with a hope you understand tone. Even though my brother and I never really talked much or had anything in common I would still miss him. I felt like everyone is on their own journey, and I am still stuck in this town. "I am so happy for you Sy, I will help you pack, and make sure everything you need goes with you!" I say in a forced excited happy tone with a smile so forced it hurts my cheeks. I went to bed that night lying in bed wondering if Topaz was ok, and if she would appear tomorrow when Sapphire came back. As the sun woke me up my mother knocked on my door. I tell her to come in. As she walks in with a solemn face I just looked concerned as she hands me a letter.

"Dear Dru,

I know you will be upset, but I will not be coming home. My studies have made me realize that I need to be on my own, and adventuring right now is not what I want to do. I hope Topaz comes back though. I have not heard from her either still. So I am hopping she is ok. I know this was not what you planned, but what can I say I think we just have different dreams, and aspirations. Plus I am not one to get dirty anyway you know this. Camping outside on the ground is not my thing. I do truly love you, and hope you can find something in your life to do. The village will be happy to have you there. Sorry you could not purse your dreams as an adventurer, but you can work hard to become the best healer in the village!

Much Love,

Sapphire" as I read this anger built up inside me. I decided to get dressed, and go for a walk.

I ended up at Narth's house. I told her everything that happened. "Well dear at this point you need to just accept that you might need to just be here. Not all of us are meant to be adventurers." she said. "But also if you want something you make it happen, and push to find a way. You know your brother is leaving, and he found a way to get out of here, and become someone." she said with a look of likeness about what I am trying to say. After that I told her I had to go. As I pondered on what she said for the last few days all the sudden it hit me."That is it!" I say punching my fist into my other hand's palm. I rushed home. I have to pack!

End Of The Week

Sylas goes outside ready to leave. "WAIT!" I say as i rush out with a bag of stuff packed. I have a plain green skirt and a cute sleeveless top on my hair all brushed and nicely laying. "What are you doing?" Sylas asked confused why I looked like I was in traveling clothes. "Yes I would like to know the same thing missy" my dad said in an angry tone. "I am coming with you to the city!" I say with stern and excited tones. "I do not think so. You go back inside right now, unpack, and do not say another word." my dad said, looking very angry. "NO I AM GOING!" I say hand clenched into fist with a determined face. "YOUNG LADY I SAID-" when he started to demand me a voice to cut him off. "Let her go hun she won't listen, and she will be with Sylas. He could use her to travel with. I think living in the city would be a good idea." my mother said looking him in the eyes. He looked at her then back at me. "FINE! You can go, you must get a job, help your brother, and write to us as much as you can to know you are safe!" he said with a bit of a sad voice. I cannot blame him as both his kids leaving at once must be upsetting. "Thank pap!" I say as I hug him and then my mother. Then I told Leonidas I would be back, gave him a hug, and kisses. As I look up I see Narth there as well smiling, then nodding as a sign of happiness for me picking my own path. "Off to the city we go brother!" I say one fist in the air. It was the best day of my life, but the troubles that awaited I was not prepared for.
