A/n: HELLO, welcome to my very first fanfic. This story is going to take place in the final year at Hogwarts, but it is 100% my own story, and is not cannon to the books at all, so don't expect Voldemort to pop up, because he's not going to. I do not own all of the characters and I do not own the world, thanks JK for inspiring me. Shout out to Halsey for the title. Anyway, keepin' it short. Lets begin:

Elodie Brodeur was your average wealthy, pure-blood, 17-year-old witch in France. She lived by her parents' rule, and was rewarded for doing so by receiving everything she could ever wish for. She obeyed their every wish, and behaved as well as she could in hopes to please them. They were good parents, never having raised a hand to Elodie, and hardly ever raised their voices either. She loved her parents, and would do anything to please them. They gave her everything, so she did her very best to make sure that they were never disappointed in her. She was a skilled pianist for her mother, and top in her class for her father. She was the fastest in her year on a broom, and one of the most elegant and well dressed to boot. Pleasing her parents was always at the top of her list, at least until she was preparing for her final year at Beauxbatons.

Elodie and her mother Amilie were shopping for new school clothes when Elodie's world seemed to crumble around her where she stood in the boutique. The words fell from Amilie's mouth, and Elodie could have sworn she was speaking Mandirian because she had no comprehension of what her mother was talking about. She felt dazed, like she could see radio static. For a moment Elodie thought she might even fall over where she stood.

"Wh-what? I'm sorry please just repeat that last part, I don't think I heard you right." Elodie questioned her mother.

"Oh, Elodie please don't act like you did not hear me," her mother responded in French, "We must, your father was offered a new position in their ministry as a forigen advisor of some sort, you know I never know what he is going on about when he talks about work."

"Oh, so, what's so wrong with the position he has now, then?" Elodie was being much more curt than she normally was. She never spoke to her parents this way, but she was so angry she could not help it.

"There is nothing wrong with the position Elodie," her mother retorted, now in English, in a very thick French accent, "he was offered a better one, that is all."

"So why am I being forced to go then?"

"Because, you are seventeen, and I will not leave you here, and I will not leave my husband to run off with some British hussy."

"Mère, I'm going to be in my final year this year, you really would pull me from school like this now? For Hogwarts of all places, their uniforms are so...so...brute mère, they are terrible!"

The pair walked together out of the boutique at this after receiving a few looks from the other boutique patrons at the inappropriate public display of disdain for the school from Elodie.

"Mon amour," Amelie continued as they walked, "they are not that bad, and you already have a few friends there from our trips to the Parkinson manor when you were small, remember? Pansy, Daphne,-"

"I was 12 the last time we saw them mère, I wouldn't even recognize them any more!"

"Well, these are the cards we are being dealt mon amour, we have to make due. I have worse news though, this bit I am also very unhappy about," Amilie furrowed her brows and looked guilty for the first time since their conversation began, "Our new home will not be ready for us until half way through September, but your father starts his work in August and international travel is just too much to do on a daily basis, so he wants us to stay with the Parkinsons until it is ready."

Elodie came to a halt and looked to her mother with nothing but horror written across her face. Amilie looked down at her hands and frowned, before continuing in French once more, "Look, Elodie, your father makes these decisions, we have no choice and no say in the matter. You will make new friends, and I promise to you, Hogwarts is not so bad. The Parkinsons have such wonderful things to say about the place, I am certain you will end up loving it."

Elodie spent the remainder of her time in France with her friends, taking trips to shops and the beaches of France, exploring every area she never made time to explore before. She treated her last few weeks as though she might never return to France, despite knowing she would return for every break to stay with her best friend Sabine. The pair were inseparable in Beauxbatons, and no matter what school Elodie went to, she knew that she always had a second home with Sabine and her parents.

When the fun of their last few weeks came to an end and August came to a start, Sabine came to the Brodeur manor to help Elodie pack for England. The girls were bustling around Elodie's room, making sure she had all of her essentials for the last month of summer, and the impending school year.

"I mean, I don't even know any of these people anymore, how do I even know what to say to them? It is going to be just awful, I can already tell," Elodie sighed and flopped back onto her four poster bed, "I won't even be able to see my new home until first break in December. I won't even know what my room will look like Sabine."

"I know, I truly can not believe your parents would do this to you at this point. I mean you only have a year of school left, why can't you just stay with me?" Sabine asked, shoving a few dresses into a trunk for Elodie.

"They must hate me, that is the only conclusion I can come to."

"Well, in better news at least you will be attending school with some famous wizards and witches now. I have been keeping up to date with a few of my gossip-y English cousins, so I could give you a little advice on who to steer clear of," At this, Elodie snapped back up and got off of her bed. She turned her full attention to her friend and nodded for her to carry on, "Well, there is Astoria and Daphne Greengrass, they apparently are big pure-blood socialites you might be able to have an automatic in with because of your visits to England. They are always invited to the elite events, so at least you know they can show you the right areas of England to be seen in."

"Right, right, I don't want to be caught dead in undesirable places before the year even begins. Could you imagine, the talk would be endless," Elodie put on her best fake British old lady accent, "'Oh the absolute shame, the Brodeur girl has been here for a week and has already been seen going into a discount clothing barn and would you believe the horror? She bought something off the rack!'" Elodie and Sabine fell into a fit of laughter on the floor before Sabine carried on.

"Right, right. Okay, so the Parkinson girl, she's a bit of a mess. She is some sort of raging party girl. You can surely be friends with her because she is also a bit of a socialite but...just don't trust her to look out for you. She seems to only care about getting drunk and fucking the Zabini boy. Oh, he is something beautiful though, do you know of him?"

"I do, but I have never met him, just sort of heard of him here and there."

"Oh, just wait until you meet him, he is something to be adored. Again, he is somewhat attached to Pansy though, so probably best not to try anything there. Oh the Malfoy boy is wonderful too though, and my sources say that one is fair game! Bit of man-whore, but oh, I imagine it would be well worth it."

They carried on, talking about pure-blood fame in England, as they are in France, for the rest of the night. By the end of it, they got very little packing done, but Elodie figured the house elves could finish the rest for her before the big day tomorrow and decided it was time to get some sleep.

The next day, Elodie and her parents approached a large, grey and white manor after a long day of international travel. Elodie was a few steps behind, attempting to take in her surroundings. They walked up a long, steep walk-way from the apparition point to the front doors. There was a large, garish fountain just outside the front doors, with a mermaid in the center, spouting water from her mouth. As they approached the doors, Elodie could see that the handles of the large white doors were shaped as two letter P's, and rolled her eyes. If the outside of their home was this tacky, she cringed to find out what the inside looked like.

Elodie's father, Gabriel, knocked once before a sad looking house elf answered the door, startling all three.

"Hello, we are the Brodeurs," Gabriel began, but before he could finish, the house elf was gone with a pop. The three looked to each other with a confused expression before the house elf was back with another pop.

"The master say come in, he'll be with you shortly," and with that, he was gone again. House elves did not act like that in France, so once again, Elodie was confused and annoyed with this entire stupid country.

"Oh, papa, are all the house elves here weird like that?" Elodie questioned in french. All her father could do was give her a curt nod before a somewhat familiar, short, fat, old man walked up to the door.

"Hello all! Oh look how big you are now Elodie, last time I saw you, you were still so small. Please come in! You look lovely Amelie." The man shook Gabriel's hand and then stepped to the side to make room for the three to enter.

The foyer was just as garish as the outside of the manor. There were bright colors and large colorful vases and statues everywhere, Elodie felt like she needed a pair of sunglasses after walking inside. Golds, blues, and reds covered the entire room, clashing patterns between the floor and the walls made the room look like it was almost spinning. It was a wonder women lived here, and Elodie and Amelie were confused as to why Mrs. Parkinson would allow this monstrosity of a room to beckon guests into her home.

"Ah, I see you have done some redecorating since we were last here, Cassius," Gabriel nodded to the collection of statues and vases.

"Well yes, you know Rose gave me a little creative freedom out here to reward me for my new position," Cassius replied with a large smile, clearly proud of this gaudy room. "Anyway, follow me all, Pansy is in the back with a few friends she thought you should meet, Elodie. I'll show you the way, then us adults will retire to the lounge until dinner then we can all reconvene, and then Dot will show you all your rooms," Cassius was seemingly the type of man that did not close his mouth for very long. By the looks of him, he was either eating or talking, and had no inbetween. Just as the thought crossed Elodie's mind, the man was delivered a drink in a tumbler glass by the house elf, Dot, while in mid-stride to the back yard. Ah, the third open mouth activity, drinking.

The three followed Cassius down the long hallway, passing three rooms along the way. The first of which seemed to be a sitting room, or possibly a piano room. As Elodie passed she could only get a quick peek in the room as the archway for it was not very large. It seemed to be much more elegant than the foyer was, decorated in whites a soft golds. It seemed as though it was likely the type of room messy children would not be granted entrance to. The second room seemed to be an entrance to a kitchen, though it seemed like it would have been rather small, considering the grand size of the rest of the manor. Many house elves were bustling around inside, cooking some sort of a feast. The last room that they passed before coming to the back entrance of the house was a library, definitely. Elodie could not wait to explore that room, all of the walls lined in bookshelves, it looked almost half as grand as the library of her own home, although that was a feat in its own. The Brodeur's kept the most extensive personal library collection in all of France. It was the favorite pastime of both Elodie and her mother, so her father spared no expense on filling the library, and making it a comfortable place for his two favorite women.

The long hallway led to the back of the house, but it also went to the right, which Elodie guessed might be the direction of both a formal and informal dining room. She hadn't seen either in their travels, so that must be where they were. The home was both posh, and ostentatious, from what she saw so far. There were clearly some differing opinions in the Parkinson home, which led to the strangest looking home the Brodeur's had ever seen. Amelie could not remember it looking so strange the last time she was here, and she did not like the new look of it.

"Here we are, Pansy dear, Elodie has arrived!" Cassius shouted in no specific direction into the large back yard, clearly not knowing where his daughter even was. Gabriel rolled his eyes a little at that, and motioned for Cassius to leave Elodie behind and carry on to the lounge.

"I'm dying for a drink after today and I know you have a wonderful cigar collection waiting for us Cassius," Gabriel playfully elbowed his friend.

"Ah yes, this way," Cassius strode back down the hallway, to the right, before rounding a corner with the elder Brodeurs in tow.

Elodie watched them leave, and then turned back to the yard feeling anxious.

"Elodie!" She heard before following the direction of the shout to the left with her eyes, "Oh, you are just lovely, look at you! It's been ages, how have you been?" It was Pansy, Elodie put on her best smile and clasped her hands together.

"Pansy! My Gods, me? Look at you! You have filled out quite nicely," Elodie raised her eyebrows, smiling wide, remembering the advice Sabine gave her. Party girls, Elodie thought, they love their bodies. Pansy smiled back before motioning her hands in a way that accentuated her curves, and then pulling Elodie into a long embrace and air kissing Elodie's cheeks.

"Oh, your voice, I forgot how angelic you french women sound. Merlin, I would kill for that. Follow me this way, love, there are some people dying to meet you. I have told them all about you, at least what I could muster up out of my old tired memory. I cannot believe how long it has been! What has been keeping you away?" Pansy spoke while dragging Elodie down a cobblestone pathway, around a corner lined with seven-foot tall hedges. Down the path in a slight distance Elodie could see a sweet looking courtyard with several bistro tables and chairs set up, with a few people inhabiting the chairs. They all looked deep in conversation, chatting away over tea. Elodie rolled her eyes, where was the wine? It was nearly six, hardly time for tea.

"Hello all! This is Elodie, Elodie you remember Astoria and Daphne, yeah?" Pansy gestured to the first table with two beautiful girls, the elder blonde and leggy and the younger brunette and more curvaceous, sitting together then moved right across the tables with her gesture, "Then we have Millicent, Theo, Blaise, and-" She cut off, looking perplexed, "Where did Draco head off to? I was gone two minutes."

"Ah, he went inside for the wine," the youngest girl whom Elodie remembered as Astoria stated, "Theo would not stop whining like a baby for it. Elodie, it is so wonderful to see you again," she went on so politely after her curt comment eyeing Theo, "Daphne and I were just talking about you a few days before we found out about your move. We have the perfect place to take you, we thought of you the entire time we were there. It is this little boutique downtown-" Daphne cut her off.

"Oh it is just lovely, it reminds us of a place we went to in Paris once, which is why you came up of course," Sabine was spot on about these two, beautiful, polite, poised, pureblood socialites. This might be the perfect place for Elodie to get cozy, "Absolutely to die for, you will just love it. You will feel right at home!"

"Sorry all, took forever to find the good stuff," Elodie heard a deep male voice behind her, and turned to see where it came from. He strode down the walkway with a confident air around him, this was no boy, but a man, and he knew you could call him nothing other than that. He was tall, at least six foot, maybe even a little more than that. His silver-blonde hair was pushed back with obvious care, something he had to have taken a lot of pride in. He was beautiful, to say the least, with sharp and strong features and these piercing grey eyes. He carried what looked to be a very aged red in his left hand and a bottle of firewhisky in his right. He stopped almost dead in his tracks when he saw Elodie, "Ah, the guest of honor has arrived, I see. You must be Elodie Brodeur, ashante, mademoiselle."

"Ah, parles tu français?" Elodie raised her eyebrows, as the beautiful blonde set down the bottles, took her hand and leaned down to kiss the top of it.

"Oui, I am Draco Malfoy," he said matter of factly, "Of course I do."

"Oh, shut up Malfoy, give it here," Theo rolled his eyes at the display of obvious show -offery.

Draco picked up the bottles and walked over to the table and set them down in front of Theo.

"A thank you will suffice next time," Draco retorted with a bored tone before turning back to Elodie, "I should say I have never had the pleasure of such a vision before," He said, giving Elodie a very obvious once over with his eyes, "Where have they been hiding you for all your visits to England?"

"Well, I actually haven't been in quite some time," Elodie responded, with that the rest of the group started chatting to each other once again. Pansy walked over to a small bar table and opened the cabinet underneath, producing a few wine glasses, tumblers, and an ice bucket.

"Yeah, she hasn't been here since we were little girls, I thought I would never recognize her honestly. I'm so excited you are here now so we can catch up finally!" Pansy said, pouring a glass of wine and setting it in front of Elodie, "Wine okay?"

"Oh yes, thank you, love," Elodie accepted, and then sipped the wine, "I was so worried this was a tea only affair."

The other tea-party goers all stopped dead in their conversations to laugh, full belly laughs. Astoria looked like she would almost certainly fall out of her chair, she was laughing so hard.

"Ah, it truly has been a while since you have been around this group of girls," Blaise stated, barely able to stop his laughter long enough to speak.

"I suppose it has," Elodie raised an eyebrow.

Later that night, after drinking with the others and then joining the adults for dinner, Elodie retired to her temporary bedroom, which a house elf had already taken the liberty to stock up with her things. All of her bags were now empty and tucked away in another place that was unknown to her and all of her clothes were put away between the closet and dresser drawers. Her photos were even out on top of the dressers and on the walls, all she had left to do was get ready for bed. The bedroom was nice enough, clearly part of the house that had been decorated by Mrs. Parkinson. The walls were a soft purple, and the room was trimmed in silver and grey. It was quite like Elodie's bedroom at home, infact, including a walk-in closet and a large vanity, which was already fully stocked with everything from her make-up case and all of her hair supplies. This might not be so bad after-all.

Knock, knock, knock. Elodie's thoughts were interrupted, and she walked to the door and opened it to see Pansy, Astoria and Daphne. Without saying a word, she stepped to the side and the three girls filed in and plopped down on Elodie's bed, Pansy now pulling a bottle of wine and four wine glasses out of a bag she had been carrying.

"So, we hope you don't mind, as long as you're not too tired after your long day. We just missed you so we wanted to have a little girl time now that the blokes are finally gone," Daphne said, sounding a little less refined toward the end there. Ah, the polite socialite thing must be just for the men, Elodie thought, loving her a little more after that comment.

"I would like that, a lot. I've missed you, as well," Elodie half-lied, it wasn't that she didn't miss them, more like she hadn't thought much of them over the years. Now that she was here with them though, she almost felt as though she had missed them all along. She felt at home here, they really reminded her of her friends at home. Most of all Daphne, actually. The way she carried herself while they were all talking around the bistro tables really reminded her of Sabine.

"So, what brings you lot to England? My parents didn't really say," Pansy asked, "It was weird honestly, they just sort of dropped this on me a few days ago, just said you'd be staying for the remainder of summer before classes start up again."

"Ah, my father got some sort of new job with your ministry. He doesn't talk much about work so I don't have any information about that end, but I guess that's reason enough to uproot my life," Elodie laughed half-heartedly, as the girls around her eyed each other suspiciously, "I don't mind much now though, you girls are making me feel quite at home already."

"Well we are glad for it. Your father doesn't talk about work much though?" Astoria questioned, "Do you even know what he does, then?"

"Truthfully no," they eyed each other again, "Why, is that weird?"

"No, it's just-" Astoria was interrupted by Pansy.

"Alright, enough gossip you two, I'm very interested in seeing the bottom of these bottles tonight and you lot are slacking."

Though Elodie thought the conversation was off, she ignored it and put her lips to her glass before knocking the whole thing back and extending it to Pansy for a refill with a grin.

The night went on like that for some time, and after a short while all four girls were drunk and slurring a little.

It wasn't long before they one by one fell asleep in different areas of Elodie's room, Pansy on the right side of the bed next to Elodie, Daphne on the end of the bed, and Astoria on the small couch across the room.

The next morning, the girls all woke around the same time, all feeling a little groggy thanks to all the wine the night before. When Elodie opened her eyes, she saw three small orange vials, and one empty vial, next to the bed with a note.

Next time, leave a bottle or two for the adults.

Take this for the headache.

-Mum and Dad

"Oh, they are just the best sometimes aren't they," Pansy said, looking like she was already miles ahead of the other three girls.

"Yeah," Astoria grumbled, throwing back one of the vials.

"Real saints, our parents would have made us suffer," Daphne said, reaching her hand out with her other arm slung across her eyes to block the light.

Pansy reached across Elodie and handed her one, leaving one left for Elodie, which she happily threw back a few seconds later. Elodie felt a warm tingle take over her entire body, and she felt the hangover leaving her body only seconds later.

"Wow, that works quick," Elodie said, "I did not even realize something like that even existed."

"What?" Astoria's eyes widened, "Oh I would be absolutely miserable without this one."

"I can see why, I already feel much better," Elodie straightened up where she sat, "Do you ladies have any plans for today?"

"No, we hoped that we might take you to that shop!" Daphne smiled wide.

"I would love to join you ladies, but I do actually have a date with Blaise tonight. I was thinking maybe after we might all go back to his place tonight. His parents are out of time, he was talking about inviting some blokes over for some sort of stupid card game. If he says yes, you guys should come. Maybe we will all get lucky tonight." Pansy said, playfully nudging Elodie with her elbow.

"Me? I don't even know any of your 'blokes'," Elodie laughed, "Besides, that would be awfully quick for me, I've only been here a day."

"Ah, so what, you never know what you might be missing! Plus Draco was eyeing you like crazy yesterday, in case you didn't notice," Daphne interjected, "He's the richest 18-year-old in England. Definitely someone you should spend some time getting to know, if you know what I mean."

"He's also a monster in bed, apparently," Astoria cut in, causing all four girls to break out in laughter.

"Right, I did notice that I guess," Elodie said, finally catching her breath, "He's a little arrogant for my tastes. I doubt I'll be getting to know him like that."

"Oh no, I know he comes off that way, but he can be a real sweet guy," Pansy said, "We had a little thing a few years ago, brief, but wonderful while it lasted. I decided we were better off friends though, Blaise was just too beautiful for me to ignore. Ah, that boy is something else."

"Well, I guess only time will tell."

Shortly after that, the girls started getting ready in Elodie's room. Pansy left briefly to go gather things from her own room, and returned to get ready with the other three. Astoria was almost an exact body match to Elodie, so Elodie let her borrow a dress for the day, while Pansy loaned something to Daphne for the same reason. Astoria and Elodie were both on the shorter side, with a little more of a curve to their bodies than the other two girls. While both had slim wastes, they were definitely not squeezing into size twos like Daphne and Pansy. Pansy was quite a bit more top heavy than Daphne, but she had a few dresses that would suit the purpose of the day well enough.

"Are you excited about Hogwarts?" Astoria asked, while they were pulling on their finally decided on dresses.

"I suppose as excited as can be, I'm not very enthusiastic about the uniform," Elodie replied while walking over to the shoe rack in her closet to pick something out to match her dress.

"Oh, right the Beauxbatons uniform is so much cuter than ours, that is certain," Astoria fumbled with the zipper on her chosen dress before motioning for assistance.

"Enough of that, you know we spice ours up just enough to feel better about the drab things," Daphne cut in, moving to zip up her sister's dress, "We'll help you with that on the train."

Elodie smiled, slipping into her chosen heels and then hanging a pair to Astoria that matched her dress perfectly. Once they were all finally finished getting ready, they set off down the stairs, which lead to a hallway that adjoined the foyer. Pansy waved off the three girls as they one by one stepped into the floo and landed in a shop in Diagon Alley. Elodie looked a little confused, as this was no place that reminded her of Paris.

"Oh no, this isn't it," Daphne said, as if reading her mind, "This is Twilfitt and Tatting, this is a wonderful shop, don't get me wrong, but the boutique we are going to is very posh, they don't have their own floo grate."

"Not everyone is allowed in, truthfully. Not that everyone is allowed in here, but this other shop is top notch." Astoria followed up, Elodie nodded following their lead out of the door, "A lot of people don't even know about it. Twilfitt is absolutely for the elite, I don't even think they let halfbloods in truth be told, but Château... I don't even think Pansy has been there."

"What makes you think they will let me in?" Elodie looked bewildered. The sisters looked at eachother smirking and then rolled their eyes.

"Honestly Daph, this girl has no idea what she looks like, does she?" Astoria laughed out.

"Or what the name Brodeur means, apparently," Daphne said, before pulling Elodie by the arm around a corner and down another street of Diagon Alley.

A few steps later, the trio arrived at a beautiful blue boutique. The outside was exquisite, the small building was decorated with silver and green trim and shutters. Just above the door Château was written in fine silver cursive. Elodie chuckled to herself, because at least from the outside, this place was anything but a château. Elodie looked around to see her surroundings, but soon realized that they were not on the same street they were just moments ago. This street was much less bustling, and seemed to only have three shops on it, where just moments ago she saw at least ten on this block.

"What-?" Elodie began.

"Well, the end of the street we were just on is an illusion, it does not actually end, just works to disguise this place and for some reason that book store and that restaurant," Astoria said, pointing to the other two buildings on the street, "I haven't been to either yet, I don't know what is so special. This boutique though, I get wanting to keep that one hidden. Apparently the other way has an illusion too, to give the shoppers here a more relaxed vibe."

"Enough talk, let's go in!" Daphne exclaimed before rushing to the door.

Daphne and Astoria walked in with no hesitation, but when Elodie stepped inside she was stopped by a rather large man. Oh you have got to be joking, a boutique with an actual bouncer. The other two girls were suddenly gone, and Elodie stood in a pitch black room alone with this bouncer, and he and she were the only thing in sight that were illuminated. What is happening here?

"Name, bloodstatus, and country of origin," The large man said plainly.

"Er, Broduer, Elodie Broduer, pureblood, France," Elodie looked confused, while the man started waving his wand in the pattern of her name in cursive. He turned into the darkness and nodded, before suddenly the darkness started falling away, and Elodie was now face to face with her two friends, and a boutique much larger than she thought it would be based on the outside of the building. In fact, it was the largest one she had ever been in in her life.

"How cool is that?" Daphne jumped a little in her excitement.

"Oh Gods, this place is amazing," Elodie was bewitched. There were hundreds of racks of clothes, tables upon tables of jewelry, and not a single piece looked like costume jewelry, accessories everywhere. Everything she could see from where she stood was designer, from the looks of it, the whole store probably was. She traced her fingers down the side of a mannequin that was wearing a fringe dress that looked like it was straight out of the 1920's, the fabric was so soft to the touch it may as well have been velvet.

Daphne and Astoria showed Elodie around, the racks were arranged by designer, which made it a little easier to navigate. In no time her arms were filled with new dresses, gowns, robes, daywear, nightwear, intimates, you name it, she found the perfect one that she had to have.

"Oh, I don't know if I brought enough, I was not expecting to want so much. I might have to take a trip to Gringotts," Elodie huffed.

"No, no you can open an account, love. Actually I'm pretty sure they open one automatically when you walk through the door," Daphne said, draping another shawl over her arm.

"Yeah, then you have to come back to pay the bill, that is how they get you. Always coming back for more!" Astoria threw a pair of shoes on top of her pile, for her cherry on top.

The trio walked up to the counter and struggled to put all of their findings up but eventually managed it. The clerk rang up the sisters first, and then moved on to Elodie's mountain of new clothes.

"Alright so I brought 100 galleons with me, I'd like to put the rest onto an account," Elodie spoke softly to the cashier, who smiled at her and opened her account book to a page that was about half way through.

"Broduer? Actually, your visit today was covered by another account, love, we are all square," The cashier smiled brightly at Elodie, Astoria and Daphne gasped behind her and Elodie looked bewildered.

"I'm sorry, what account is that? This was almost 1000 galleons worth of clothes, who would pay for that?" Elodie asked.

"Hm, well that is weird, why wouldn't they tell you? There is no note in the account to leave it a secret. You are covered under the Malfoy account."

"AH! I told you he was making eyes at you!" Daphne shouted.

Elodie's eyes went wide, he had been making eyes at her, that she was sure of. He was not shy with her at all last night, he made it clear that he was interested, but 1000 galleons? I'm sure he hadn't expected her to spend so much.

"Maybe I should put some back, since Draco is covering it for me. I wouldn't want to take advantage." Elodie ran her fingers through the fine fabric trying to figure out what to put back.

"No dear, it says whatever you would like. In all truth, Narcissa spends twice this multiple times a month. This will not make a large impact on their account with us," The clerk said briefly. Elodie looked to the sisters for approval and they nodded excitedly.

"Okay, thanks so much," Elodie smiled warmly before accepting her bags from the cashier and heading for the doors with her friends, "How on Earth do I thank him for this? What will I owe him for this?"

"Truthfully, just say thank you. You don't owe him anything, and he will not expect anything. He truly is a gentleman. If you tell him you are not interested, he will back off, but this is him trying to court you, Elodie," Astoria smiled while she spoke.

"And by the looks of it, he is trying pretty hard," Daphne chimed in.

The three walked back to the floo they arrived in, and traveled to the Greengrass's house to see if Pansy owled about the impending party at the Zabini house.

"Alright, Pansy wants us to arrive at the Zabini house at 9, in our best attire, so I guess you will just have to wear that new cocktail dress, Elodie. Draco can admire you in it," Daphne blew air kisses in Elodie's direction and before letting out a full belly laugh with Astoria. Elodie blushed and smiled genuinely.
