This chapter is shorter than the ones I normally write, I divided it into two parts so expect the second one on Sunday or even tomorrow. This chapter deeps in character personalities and some world building.
Comment if I should write the fic with fewer details and descriptions or let them as they are.
The sun's rays hit the soil. Grass and small trees encircled the park as the kid's laugh and swings creaking resounded through the area. The stench of the sticky-sweet, spilt juice baking on the ground assaulted the air.
A group of kids were playing in the ground while they used branches as swords.
"Ha, you evil man, let the princess alone!" A child with lime-green eyes and brown hair shouted while raising his chin.
"No! Tatsumi, I will take the princess to my evil lair! Wuahaha" A kid with short, somewhat unruly, dark brown hair and brown eyes exclaimed rapidly.
A girl stood behind him as his branch impacted against the other kid's stick.
"Hurry, Iesayu! I also want to be a knight!" The girl with long black hair and black eyes yelled.
"Sayo, you are supposed to be a-" Iesayu couldn't finish his sentence as the girl's foot flew against his crotch.
The child screamed as he fell to the ground while grabbing his private parts.
"Hmm, it was my turn to play!" Shouted Sayo while pounding her fists against the thighs and breathing deeply.
"Yes, I'm sorry Sayo" Answered Iesayu with a lack of energy in his voice.
Tatsumi winced as his eyes snooping over a child sitting alone in the ground.
The child's wild jet-black hair let loose in his head. His sky-blue eyes looked devoid of hope as they looked at the clouds. Baby fat was present in his face but couldn't hide his defined jaw or the handsome looks he would inherit.
Tatsumi felt a hand on his shoulder as his best friend Iesayu surfaced in his view.
"You are looking at him again? The village doctor said it's a miracle he is still alive. I heard rumors of how he spent all his time in the library," Whispered Iesayu while biting his lip. "It's been a week since he was found and he still can't remember his name"
"I heard old nan adopted him, is that true?" Tatsumi with a delayed response inquired.
"Yeah, she said he reminds her of her late son" Answered the kid while he stuck his finger up his nose.
A hand flew out and impacted the back of his head.
PA
"Oh, Sayo! Not again!" Iesayu shouted while expelling a grunt.
"Don't be mean to him! I heard from the elders he takes care of old nan while the only thing to you do is train martial arts," Sayo sighed while her eyes slightly reddened "Put yourself in his position, something attacked him and luckily survived causing him to lose most of his memories"
Iesayu peeked at his feet while he whispered "You are right, I was just jealous of how the adults spoke of him ´He is a brilliant child' 'What a sweet and nice kid´" His voice turned a little deeper as he imitated the adults.
"You don't have to be jealous Iesayu you are way cooler than him" A brilliant and friendly smile emerged on Sayo's face.
A tint of red appeared on Iesayu cheeks as he opened his mouth "Tha-"
Tatsumi hands leaned on his friend's shoulders as his feet moved towards the solitary child "Let's invite him to play with us"
1st person POV:
Rank 1 Marg Panther Cub Killed: 15 exp
It seems my companion and the blood mosquitos are having a feast out there. Sending them out was a good idea.
It's been a week since I came to this village and the difference between my world and this one is being apparent
They don't have an aperture making them mortals, but they have a better physique than even some strength Gu Masters.
This means the average individual is stronger in this world, making it harder to reach their limits and they also don't need Gu or Dao marks.
If I still had my Immortal cultivation this mystery would be solved in seconds, but now, I need to investigate, and it will take a while.
I moved my eyes, looking towards the sky. My body is also from this world, but I have an aperture.
The combination of the body from this world and the aperture from the Gu world will bring me advantages.
My heartbeat increased as a small smile emerged on my face before I squashed and replaced it with a calm expression.
"Status Gu" I whispered.
Name: Wu Yi Hai

Vital Gu: Rank 1 Gamer Gu
Talent: A
Primeval Essence: 90%

Equipment: Ring Of Enlightenment
Ever since advancing to the middle stages, every hour of cultivation only earns 3 Exp. In my past life, I inherited Gamer Gu in rank 4, so I don't have a great measurement of the Exp it gives in every rank.
I could theorize how Gamer Gu is connected with my soul and would also perish if I died. So, in the first realm, it helped me so I could have the primeval essence to defend myself against the dangers of the forest.
If I cultivate and consider the exp of the beasts I kill, I would reach about rank four initial-stage in around five years.
I sighed while looking at the translucent blue image. I still need to refine the transformation path Gu to finish the complete structure of my Gu system.
I heard some steps behind me. They are soft and make little noise they should be the kids that were playing.
The question is, what relationship should I have with them? Let see… from the information in the library, the place I'm in is a village of the empire.
The Empire is so immense it's the biggest powerhouse in all the continent, but it's also filled with corruption.
Because of the corrupt government, there have been multiple uprisings and great civil unrest. The villages and towns suffer from heavy taxation, and many have been unable to buy enough food, resulting in widespread shortages in the remote areas of the empire.
Even in this village, I am the conditions aren't the best.
The resources I need are so widespread and far from each other that it would take me a lot of time to look for them.
In comparison to the Gu world, no one is looking for the same materials as me but there isn't a market where I could gain them. This means I would need to find all of them.
So, the key for me would be to make my faction, akin to merchants or hunters and ask them to find the materials I need while they are in their trips or hunting.
For that, I would need a base of operations and some henchman, who would carry my orders and be loyal to me.
And what's the best way to start, but with naïve kids?
I can shape them to my liking and train them so they are both competent and loyal.
The footsteps stopped a few meters away from me. I turned around to three kids looking at me.
Focusing on the kid of the middle, I whispered "Human Nature Gu"
Name: Tatsumi
Nature: Neutral Good
Personality: Kind, Caring, Naïve, Thoughtful
Sins: -
Opinion About you: [30/100]
"Hey… would you like to play with us?" The kid in the middle took a step forward.
So, his name is Tatsumi…
Mashing my hands against the cheeks and looking at him and then at the ground trying my best to appear shy I answered in a meek voice while forming a nervous smile "Mm yes, I would love to"
A smile emerged on the three kids as the girl muttered "Cute"
The moon hung high in the sky as the dark tree trunks covered the village with their shadows. A wood house covered in moss slightly larger than the others sat on the corner as the wind flew through the night.
Looking through the window, a child next to an old woman. The room was filled with cooking tools, mostly wooden spoons, and spatulas. The cooking timer run out as the noise encompassed the house.
The child walked to the kitchen counter as the smell of eggs and chicken assaulted his nose. The kid's hand quickly moved as he grabbed a little slice of the egg. The dry taste became apparent in the child's face as he flinched away.
Grabbing the chicken and eggs on a plate, he walked towards the wooden table.
"Thank you, sweetie, are you going to the library again?" The old woman sweetly inquired with a smile on her face.
The child set the plate in front of the aged lady.
"Yes, nan" The child answered with a sincere expression and a smile.
The old woman sighed "Don't forget to eat after reading"
"Yes, grandma" This time the child replied with a bored tone.
The old woman smiled as her lips twitched while she harrumphed with a friendly tone, "Go on little rascal, and don't stay up to so late"
The black-haired child smiled before rushing out of the kitchen. Steps resounded through the house as he entered a room.
Shelves filled with books emerged in his view. The smell of crisp paper and dust entered his nostrils as he sneezed.
His eyes moved towards a small pile of books separated from the shelves.
The kid sat on a stool as his finger moved through the different titles.
Teigu
Hunter's Guild
Danger Beasts
Empire's history
Science
His hands moved until they ceased on the first one. A red book with rough leather and the title: Teigu.
Pages shifted as the kid's gaze analyzed and memorized the relevant information.
Teigu are mysterious and extremely powerful relics that were created on the instruction of the First Emperor, who feared that the Empire he had founded would eventually fall.
To prevent this, he gathered many materials and hired many scientists throughout the world to make powerful weapons and defences. The creation of the Teigu result from their efforts.
Teigu are rare, and only the strongest of warriors can wield them. Some appear to be equipment or weapons, while others seem to be living creatures.
The kid's eyes looked downwards as a list appeared. "Teigu were created by the first emperor, but what are they? In the Gu world weapons like this didn't exist" A deep gaze emerged in Wu Yi Hai as he focused on two Teigu on the list.
"The One Hit Kill Sword: Murasame, its name explains the ability. Shambhala with the ability to manipulate and control space. I need to get my hands in them or other Teigu. How can the Shambhala control space without Gu? Does the Teigu use primeval essence? Are they living beings?" Wu Yi Hai pondered as hundreds of questions emerged in his face.
A translucent image emerged in the air.
Quest:
Teigu
Objective: Own a Teigu
Reward: ?
"It seems even Gamer Gu agrees with me" Wu Yi Hai smirked as he closed the page with a wave of his hand.
He closed the book and carefully placed it with the rest of them.
His gaze moved, focusing on the last book. He opened and glanced at the first page.
Science is the study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws
Wu Yi Hai leaned in closer to the book, slowing his breath and lips parting slightly.
A delighted smile emerged on his face as he kept reading as his gaze focused on the pages.
Focusing on the glossary Wu Yi Hai let out a small yelp, as a heavy feeling encompassed his stomach as a disbelieving voice exclaimed "Fire and it's creation. Oxygen, molecules, different states of metal, stages of water, types of soil. The book is like an attainment inheritance from a Gu Master. How can they be so stupid to have this knowledge public?"
A feeling of euphoria filled Wu Yi Hai as realization downed his face "Wait if I can find all this knowledge in this desolated village what mysteries and key knowledge would the capital, the heart of the Empire keeps?"
The Gu Master looked through the window directly at the moon while he whispered, "The capital, what an interesting place"
